WOW so SAD, SOOOOOO MANY NON RUSTED SUBIES SITTING ALL ALONE WITH NO ONE TO LOVE THEM.. NO SNOW OR MUD TO PLAY IN.. I think I gotta hit my therapist up LOL:mad: -
So the last two days Im out and about in my EA82 that I just got ... It was a good feeling when I was driving on the highway and had other people in newer subaru's checking out my 88 wagon... Then today I go to pay my car insurance... And a customer and one of the insurance gals goes outside to look at my wagon... She then shows me a pic of her 88 wagon on its roof... she now has a outback and proclaimed she would never buy any other car as they kept her safe... She then tells me about her daughter whom was in a accident with her own Outback and that she walked away without a scratch... She did tell me that she and her husband miss the dual range, the AWD is ok but they would still rather the dual... The customer then tells me I most be alright to have a subaru, he had his new outback next to mine... He chimes in and tells me he also wishes they would release the dual range here in the states... Maybe subaru needs to do some market research here in the states... I guess people look at mine because there is no rust.. who knows LOL Joe

I dont think so... The wagon was covered in mud.. It appeared to be a dark color, again it had a hood scoop, lift kit and big mud tires . Joe -

Sucks about the door getting dented, But a little WAR SCAR never hurt, gives it character ... Sounds like you may be needing my doors someday ..... Joe -
Sorry Guys just have to ask only because I cant seem to recall where I saw this about 3 months ago.. It was a really cool pic of someones EA82 in action covered in mud .. the car had a HOOD SCOOP added on it and BIG MUD TIRES with the headlights on.. Windshiled wipers going, pushing the mud off the windshield.. Pic was just cool as ************... I want this pic for a screen saver.. I had it as a screen saver at work but some dumb rump roast non SUBARU LOVER erased it... Anyone recall this pic or where it's located, I looked at most of the albums here and still cant find it again .. Cant help but look for it, its about the only thing that takes my mind away from work somedays and keeps me sane LOL since I dont have a window to look outside ... JOE

What is the “newest” old Subaru would you buy?

Well I like the Wagons with the dual range trans 4x4 ... I have a 84 Wagon and a 88 Wagon ... I have also had Brats in the past.. The 88 has some more get up and go for a 4cyl. SPFI.. The 84 is no rocket but not to bad for a carb... Problem is finding them without Rust ... My 84 is now starting to show some rust Si Im gonna POR-14 it with there patch fill, just a small hole about the size of a quarter.. The 88 has ZERO rust and that is gonna get a coat of POR-14 undercarriage paint this summer... I know the 84 will climb almost anything... The 88 I have not tested yet in bad weather but it has the dual range trans so Im sure it will preform the same as the 84... Never drove a AWD Subie in the snow so I have no clue ... -
Thanks for the reply Skip ... JOE:banana:

Need Suggestion for a EA82 Cup Holder?
cole098 replied to cole098's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Yeah it stinks, every car I have ever had never had a cup holder or it would have a cup holder that wouldn't hold anything other than a can or small coffee cup... Sucks... I like the Ford Cup Holder.. Great Idea -
Anyone have any suggestion for a EA82 cup holder ? Maybe pics ??? Thanks Joe
-
Thanks Skip.. Skip Im still stuck in the big 80's LOL .. I had wanted a H6 one day, but now I will wait for the new arrival.

Hate to ask this but ..... ea82 x 2 ?
cole098 replied to cole098's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Well Thanks all for your help... Stupid me,I should have looked at the steering wheel better, First car I ever had that had two levers on it to move the wheel up and down.. Im a TARDWICH, POP TART FOR A RETART LOL Joe -
Well this may be a stupid question but I have to ask... This is my first ea82... Two questions I have... So here is my stupid question of the month LOL (1) I assume my steering wheel has the tilt feature but when I move the lever to put the wheel up it wont stay locked in place at all... I was like WTF is wrong with this thing LOL ... Any suggestions ? or was this lever never inteded for tilt just to simply move the cars steering wheel up and down to make it easier for us fat dudes to get in and out ? (2) Also is there anyway that I could unbolt the driver seat and move the seat back so I have a few more inches of room ? I just never saw the floor pan of the ea82 so I have no clue if I can or can not.. Thanks... Joe
