  2. By chance had anyone ever heard of a garage located here in Eastern Pa. that is about a hours drive from Pottsville, Pa... I understand they work on Subaru's... The Name of the Garage starts with a "W" MIGHT sound like.. Wessers or Wesners or Westners??? I was there a long long time ago and for the life of me I can not recall the actual name or where they are located... Im afraid at 37 old age is setting in LOL Thanks for any help... I wanna get my subie worked on but I wanna go where they work on subaru...
  3. Hondaka Rider ....If engines dont require back pressue then why do some of the guys on the board notice a difference in Low End power when they remove the factory Y pipe and so on... Im sorry to ask this if you already posted this topic alont time ago.. Can you send me a link to your prior explanation of this??? Thanks Joe

  5. Im looking for some input on my 84 ea81 Wagon... Since a new exhaust system would cost a ton of money I was considering having a local shop possibly make me a custom exhaust.... But my question is do any of you have a custom exhaust installed on your ea81 Subaru??? And if so have you noticed any power gains or a power decrease since you placed a custom exhaust on???? I drove a Brat one time that had a dual exhaust and I noticed a power loss in low end with the cat removed... I hear all kinds of rumors that I will have somethin called a back pressure loss if I put a custom exhaust on it... What do you guys think????? Thanks for all your input... Joe
  6. Thanks All for the info... And thanks Paul... I sent ya a PM... Joe
  7. Hey All... I would like to buy a EA82 wagon soon but I have a few questions. I now have a 84 wagon with the dual range 4 speed that I love in the snow and never get stuck. I know that in 1985 they still made a dual range trans. But after that I have no clue when they decided to do away with the dual range trans. What years did they have dual range unitil????? My next question is for you guys that have wagons WITHOUT the dual range trans. What do you think of your 4wd performance in the snow compared to the older dual range trans that was in the EA81 cars???? Also how is the automatic trans 4wd in the snow???? And what about ALL WHEEL DRIVE compared to the dual range??? Thanks Joe

  14. I hate to ask such a question being that I have not attempted to fix it yet. But I was wondering if anyone had this similar problem.. Within the last few months my hood on my ea81 wagon had been getting harder to push the hood up.. Well I now when the hood is closed on my wagon the rear part of the hood no longer lays flat with the rest of the body line. The rear part of the hood sort of sticks up. Also when I open the hood it becomes slightly difficult when I raise it in the upright position and when I do raise it up I no longer need to use the hood prop to keep the hood open it just stays up in any position. How can I fix it back to the way its should be???? Thanks Joe
  15. I had a similar problem... If you have a new thermoswitch try taking it out and boiling it in a pot of water... There should be no continuity with a multimeter when the switch is cold.. When hot you should have continuity thus your Ohm meter will go to zero or if you have a digital meter with a continuity checker it should beep...
  16. Now its telling me the file size is to big.. Any ideas if I can change this???
