  1. I have plenty of good heater core that have been tested. I also have a ton of parts....send me your wish list. Stock up while you can. The VW super beetle rear glass rubber works on all station wagons rear glass. We are about to do another special order on fron glass weatherstripping. There are a ton a NOS fiberglass front fenders available. (See sticky in the forum) Todd
  2. They are the same handle. You might have to switch the little plastic clamp to the other side of the lever....depending on with side door handle you got. All door handles are the same on the BRAT plus (tailgate), wagon and cars. late 77-79 on cars and up to 81 on BRATs. Todd
  3. Put me in for 2 Paul. I'm a bit busy to do any leg work on this this time, but I know someone will join Paul! right??? It's a lot of work, but well worth it! Remember, these will fit ALL Gen 1s....HOWEVER....the Hardtops are a little tight at the top corners. (I know). They will work....just need stretched a bit and some additional sealant at the top. The bottom corners are fine. The new rubber works much better than old NOS from 30 years ago! You cannot get a hardtop one any longer. This is your best option. Todd
  4. Welcome back! Did you get one of the local BRATs that were for sale? Let me know if you need any parts! Todd
  5. Ft Worth/Euless here! Nah....there are some people here!! I have: 78 DL Wagon automatic 79 DL Wagon 5 speed 95 Impreza sedan LX AWD 95 Impreza Coupe 1.8 FWD GAS SAVER! 95 Legacy sedan LS AWD 91 Legacy sedan LSi FWD 79 Dodge Colt FWD twin stick 81 Plymouth Champ FWD LS twin stick and enough parts to build 2 more !! and many other GEN 1s/BRATs have passed through here!!
  6. I might suggest a group purchase of these windshield gaskets "sooner than later"!!!!!! The more time that passes, the risk increases that they can no longer be made. We were lucky back when, when we found the molds were still available. I cannot facilitate, but Paul and I can connect you to the people. I will also order 2 myself. Bst, Todd
  7. Hmm....I guess I better start searching. I have the LS and it has the dial type Int wiper switch. Much harder to find.
  8. Is this common in in the 95-99 vintage? My 95 Legacy LS just started the same thing. No high beams unless you flash them by pulling back on the stalk. The switch is outragious in price!! Todd
  9. Don't let Danny know! LOL (Just kidding Danny)! Somebody move on this!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Does anyone have shipping options that are reasonable? The package is 50 pounds (2 fenders) 31 w x 9 d x 54 h Fedex home delivery 2-3 day is nearly $130 from Pittsburgh to Dallas. :slobber: George is getting ready to ship! Todd
  11. Please read George's email, (below) to me today and follow-up as appropriate. Todd Todd, I got 4 boxes today from the local Schwinn Bike Shop...I also took the box to the local shipping depot and he gave me a price to ship at $214.00. ....I almost died! I am going to call UPS direct to see what they would charge to ship them to your address and also to the other people that you referred to me. I also want to check with Greyhound Package Express to see what their price would be...is there a Greyhound Bus Terminal close to you? Please advise....also please advise the other guys that I will need the exact address, and phone number for them to let them know the details. Thanks...George A. Welsh 412-853-8617 or 412-973-2979
  12. YES!! Our marketplace volume is small and we get diluted and lost in the big one. I believe it would be beneficial! I think Gen one owners would like to cut out alot of newer gen stuff. If we are looking for that.....we go to the main marketplace. Thanks!
  13. Likewise here .....the communication the other day is he's looking for bicycle boxes. It's not the season for those, so they are difficult to locate. I doubt the fenders will get away from us. If anyone has some good ideas on shipping these......give him a call. Of course you could call a shipping store. They could pick-up/pack and ship. Todd
  14. I'm kinda inclined to keep it original. I just look at my "new" hood and think it's NEW...WOW. But it's not the right option to use it in this case. I would need new emission underhood labels. I would need to install and align. It would need the underside painted. (over spray MESS on engine I'm sure) AND I need a fender ding fixed anyway. Guess I made my decision. Thanks guys! Todd
  15. Quick question ...your thoughts? I have some hail damage on my 95 Legacy hood. (It stuck out a bit from the carport during a nasty Texas hailstorm). Hood is original, and of course no rust...(TX car). I have a GREAT PDR (Paintless dent repair),guy who can clear 95% of the hail for $150. (No bondo) I also bought a new aftermarket hood and now I'm thinking I'd rather keep the original hood. The car is being repainted one way or another. I will just now have to paint the underside, if I use the new one. Should I just use keep the original, or replace? Why am I so torn on this???? Are the aftermarket panels bad?
  16. I am just scared to death of that area and the wheel wells on Gen1s!! They all have issues there. So sad. But fixable!
  17. It was contracted out to the Westside Group in Torrance CA. I have the 1st pictures of the BRAT after completion. I supplied some parts, stripes for it. I even got a mention here: http://www.drive.subaru.com/win09_brat.aspx Todd
