  1. Not pretty ones, but they are available: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SUBARU-BRAT-LEFT-FENDER_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6763QQitemZ8006287092QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SUBARU-BRAT-RIGHT-FENDER_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6763QQitemZ8006286868QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
  2. Well the caliper is exactly the same as the gen 1 cars! So we now have a new cross-reference! Todd
  3. I'd like to buy the harness for the AC in any Gen 1 vehicle. (All the AC was aftermarket) It can be the york or the sanden style. (One has the temp selector behind the fan switch and one has the temp selector on the left lower side, below the speedo.) It's a continous harness from the dash to the compressor and relays in the engine compartment. Does anyone know of any in yards or have a car that they are parting? I'm trying to put together an AC system for a friend. Thanks much!! Todd
  4. I'll let you know. The pic in the auction is only a representation. Not the actual caliper. They said it's JUST the caliper, (unloaded). I have dealt with auctionfrontier before and was pleased. Todd
  5. I'll bet that it has nothing to do with the coolant. It's most likely the mechanical connection between the dial on the dash and the heater box. Todd
  6. I use a galvanized fence post to obtain leverage. Place all the way under the car and then press down. Place a pices of cardboard between the post and the undercoating.
  7. Man...somebody talk to this guy in the yard. Tell him it's going to a collector home and all us enthuiasts should call the yard to pressure the guy! Titles are not an issue. Broadway title can help you with that. Crushing is not an option here!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll do what I can to help from this end, just let me know. I'll call , write letter, ect! The demand for the parts on this car is essentially ZERO. He will not sell many parts, so he should be glad for a nice offer for the whole car. You need to convey this message to him, (he should already know it) Todd
  8. I just loosen the bolt and pop out the lower ball joint. One bolt. A bit easier and it still gives plenty of room to get the axle in.
  9. Very nice Stage 1 specimen!!! Is there anyway to get it? Does the yard still have the title? Someone needs to get this....it looks too good. I have no room, or I'd jump on it. Whats the condition of the floors? How long has it been sitting? (Maybe the owner knows) At the very least, there are many elusive stage one parts there!! Todd
  10. The fog lights were an option on the car. They should not be part of a safety inspection. But if you had one on and one off, that might not be acceptable. I'd remove both till after inspection. Did you get your grill? Todd
  11. I changed out one of my wagons. You just need a 5 speed from a 77-79 car and the 5 speed shifter rod. It's longer than the 4 speed. Now this is easy for 2WD, but 4WD is a completely different ballgame and would require major mofifications. I don't know of a gen 1 4WD that has ever been converted. I just bought an extra 5 speed/2WD for $200 that had 54K on it, It's my spare. I found it through www.car-part.com Todd
  12. Thanks for the pointers and re-assurance! Todd
  13. Welcome! The oil dipstick is located directly behind the intake manifold, toward the passenger side, ON the engine. (It is shorther than the trans stick.) The trans is the other one, on the drivers side of the engine. (It is long) The differential stick is a very short one, way down on the transmission/passenger side. Todd
