  1. yeah I get some funny looks with that sticker on the back of my Dodge )
  2. brings new meaning to the term "out like a boner in sweatpants" HAHAHAHAHA
  3. 3B7KM23C8NM559959 it's for my 1992 Dodge Ram and the 81 Subie JF1AM43B3BB438909
  4. I've never cooked anything on the Subaru, but I did cook a pair of oil filter pliers on the turbo in my truck haha..
  5. Funny thing is, there is NO federal standard for fuel cleanliness, be it gas or diesel fuel...
  6. I like that Cheetah Jet thing.. would be really handy for tailgaters, etc.. Hit the button n watch 'em slow down
  7. umm, the ice might be melted by the time she got the top offa the air filter.. What I don;t know is if the car loses power as in electrical power, or loases power as in engine power.... *shrugs* if it loses engine power, then I'd be going after the fuel filter.. Iso HEET works good for absorbing water, dump a bottle or two in and see if it helps lol.... oh and not all of us Automotive Technicians are JACKHOLES thankyouverymuch! :-P Just some of 'em....
  8. My Turbowagon has no muffler, then I put a cherry bomb on it.. then the cherry bomb flew off around a corner and we never found it, so yah now it has no muffler. Sound pretty good, beefy enough to scare the ricers
  9. My friend found this on NJ Four Wheelers: http://www.njfourwheelers.com/pictures/photogallery5/pages/brat1.htm lifted blue gen2 brat....
  10. man I need to dig through my old VCR tapes, cuz I know somewhere I have at least one tape of the Disney Channel from 1987 that my grandparents recorded for me, I should scan through it and see if there are any Subaru ads in there :DI wonder if anyone on here has any old Subaru TV ads, that would be cool
  11. I'm from Albany, but I'm in Laramie right now going to school (Wyoming Tech) but I'll be back to Oregon in March of 2006... Although I'll be back to visit for Christmas..
  12. I get 12.5 in my Dodge up here in Laramie.. Stupid elevation.. (7200').. I wish I got 24MPG! USed to get 17 in town, now I get 12
  13. In Japan it's either the Vivio or the Pleo that comes with the 2 cylinder engine.. the other is a 4 banger.. I think that's what this motor is, it's doesn't look air cooled, and I don't think the 360 motors were OHC...
  14. I had an 84 4WD wagon that died at 343,000.. Original drive train too.. Blew up cuz a heater hose blew, and I didn't know it cuz the temperature gauge never worked right.. (Always read right below the low side of the normal range) and one day it read in the middle and I was like oh hey it finally figured out how to warm up.. then it started pinging and then it died.. Never ran again more than 10 miles with that motor :-( I coulda fixed it but at that point I was like GRR so I just dropped another motor in) And my GF's car has 319,000 on it, not the original heads, but everything else is original (I *ThinK* the tranny has been replaced, not sure) but it all works
  15. Yes that is a 4EAT.. PRND32 = 4 speed (there is a "hold" button that keeps it in 1st or 2nd), PRND21 = 3 speed slushbox and I think those metal wings are ricey, ESP on a FWD car (I know the RX is AWD, but Hondas aren't) where all they do is either create downforce on the REAR, but in most cases those wings are for looks so all they do is add DRAG
  16. *runs and gets his Hunter alignment book from the car* okay.. 86-94 Subaru wagon, 4WD w/o air suspension: lug nut torque - 58-72 ft. lbs FRONT SPECS: Caster 1.83 +/- 0.75 (degrees) Camber 1.67 +/- 0.75 (degrees) Front Toe -0.5 +/- 0.1 degrees or -0.25" +/- .005" no spec for SAI or Included Angle REAR: Camber : 0.0 +/- 0.5 degrees Toe 0.0 +/- .2 degrees or 0" +/- 0.1" The Toe specs you can approximate with a tape measure (Although this will give you Total Toe, not individual toe, which is measured from tire to centerline of vehicle) but an alignment would be best. To adjust rear camber: Loosen three bolts holding outer arm and inner arm, and change relative angle between innner and outer arm with pry bar To adjust TOE loosen three bolts, move innner arm assy forward to toe in, and rearward to toe out. BUT before you tinker witih the alignment, get under there with a pry bar and make sure that you don't have any bushings that are worn, etc.. that will affect the alignment. Alignment, in most cases, does not change unless something is damaged/bent, springs sag, or a balljoint, etc.. is worn out.. Disregard this statement for modified suspension (i.e., if your car is lowered) There is a nifty little diagram in here but I cant scan it until I get my scanner hooked up.
  17. okay I'm putting the pictures in my Webshots album, the URL is http://community.webshots.com/user/hondasucks1982 it takes a little bit for them to show up, so if the "81 Wagon" album doesnt' show up in there, then just wait and it should be up in a few hours to a day after I post this (8:30 Wyoming time, 10/14/04
  18. well, Dad replaced the rubber fuel lines and now it runs liek a champ sooo soon I Will have $600 coming my way for the XT
  19. YEah but his 1.3 probably puts out as much HP as our 1.8.. we started getting bigger motors to make up the power lost due to emissions, etc.. And the 1100 and 1300.. EA61 and EA62, 1400 was EA63
  20. no, 1 & 3, and 2 & 4 fire at the same time. each plug is connected to one end of the secondary coil winding in the DIS module, so the spark comes out one side, across one plug gap, through the block, across teh other one (Relatively easy since it is not firing under compression), and then back into the other side of the coil. This is the reason why this DIS is referred to as "Waste spark" since one spark is "wasted" on an empty cylinder. (As opposed to coil-on-plug which uses a coil for each plug.. Very efficient, but at 90kV+ you do NOT want to come across it!
  21. So my dad dropped the tank, blew it all out, and put it all back in, and it ran fine. Here is the deal. With the fuel pump unbolted and hanging, it runs like a champ. bolt itback up, and it dies. I told Dad to replace the rubber fuel hoses cuz that is all I could think of. What is the little round metal thing tha is in teh line at the pump? Some kind of dampener I heard but not sure, could that be the problem? Is it safe to take out?
  22. hmm well either one, doesn't bother me too much, since we won't be converting it until this summer anyways most likely. If if behaves I'm gonna cruise it back to Oregon for Turkey Day (SHHHH!)
  23. Well, on Saturday Russ and I went over to Wyotech to help Bill with his Brat, he had picked up an 81 wagon with 90,000 miles on it for the motor, and so we put the motor in the brat, and I bought the wagon offa him for $50 :-) so I now have an 81 2WD GL wagon, nasty oxidized blue.. with a rusty driver's door, but every thing else is solid, just the driver's door is rustified on the bottom. I'll upload some pics after dinner...
