  1. I was watchign cops one time and the cop pulled some dude over in a white 3rd gen wagon.. The guy had like 3 condoms full of crack in his mouth, and teh car was stolen. and http://imcdb.jexiste.fr/photos/Subaru-Justy_Divine-mais-dangereuse.jpg my french is a lil rusty, and yes that IS a Metro, but in Europe, they are sold as a Justy.
  2. Where's it at? My book is next to NO help when it comes to the XTs...
  3. EVerything else works, high beams, flash-to-pass, parking lights, etc.. but the low beams don't work at all. any ideas???
  4. Yeah I dunno what is up.. Carrie's car, when you turn the key off it stays running and THEN everything shuts off (lights stay on and everything) after like a second or two..
  5. dude. Josh. Call me, I leave for wyoming in 11 days...
  6. WEll I went out and looked at it. One of the fuses is only showing 2 volts on either side of it (Middle row of fuses, closest one to the door) Dunno what it does cuz the fuse panel door is gone... But I checked the pump and there is 12V at the connector... Gonna go back tomorrow with a known good pump and see if it's the pump, or the wiring...
  7. I thought the EA81T was used in the Brats up till 85 or 86... I could be wrong though. I know it came out in 83.....
  8. I have an 82 4WD sedan, and it's a manual . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . but it used to be a 2WD automatic, And the parts are out of an 84 wagon...
  9. I am pretty sure (although not 100%) that the AXLE SHAFT itself is the same, just the joints are different, if that is the case then it would be a simple matter to buy a inner boot kit and put the 23 spline inner joints on the XT6 axles......
  10. if the guy broke it, it should be HIS responsibility to find one and replace it, and pay for it.
  11. The 85 wagon I had that I sold, crapped out the other day. So I went over to his house to check it out, and I discovered that the fuel pump is not running. I had him cycle the key while I felt the fuel pump, and I couldn't feel it vibrating. I checked all the fuses and found one that was blown, so I swapped it with the power lock fuse, and the door chime started ringing, but the fuel pump still does not run. I didnt' have a voltmeter so I couldnt' check to see if the fuel pump was getting power, nor could I check the fuses properly. I've heard there is a fuel pump control unit, but I'm not sure where it is, aside from it being under the dash somewhere. Anyone know where this is, and anything else I might want to check???
  12. Hey Josh, sounds like a coil or a distributor problem to me. Take your cap off and see if the shaft wiggles, if it does, your bushings are shot. Although we might have to go bonyardin for a dizzy since I think you got my last one! PS my # is 541 990 8697
  13. I had this happen on the EA82T in Jessica's car (Actually, the old heads off the Turbowagon). I got some things from sears that you drive onto the broken bolt with a hammer, then I buzzed them forward-back-forward-back a bunch of times very lightly with the impact gun, then buzzed them out. This was after a good soak with PB Blaster.
  14. so where's it at Laurel? I should get my buddy to bring his 325i, he's good at getting that thing squirrely...
  15. does the person he's irked at have anything to do with whomever caused the mud pit at the Subaru show to get shut down? I'm kinda irked at whomever that was since I only got two runs in
  16. Check the PCV valve, if it is bad it will make it burn oil and it's like a $2 part. So you put the fuel injected motor in the 85, did you swap the fuel injection, or did you put the carb stuff on the fuel injected motor? If that is what you did, did you use sealant on the manifold gaskets, and the carb gasket (if you took the carb off) because if you didnt' seal it properly it will suck water and make it smoke. The fact you have decent compression in all four cylinders, and it's teh SAME in all four cylinders, leads me to beleive it's not a head gasket.
  17. the temperature sending unit, adn the fuel sending unit are different between the analog and digital. I have a working EA81T digidash, the wiring in the back is loose but I just need to resolder it. I also have about six of the damn things that don't work...
  18. white EA82 wagon, with an air dam, and a black hood, with 14" steel craptacular wheels on it.
  19. Rather than punching out your cat; replace it with a piece of pipe (Kinda hard to do on the Y pipe, but you can have an exhaust shop do it if you take just the pipe in there and tell them it's for an off-road only car) because just hollowing it out creates turbulence which creates more backpressure than the cat does. Another alternative is to replace the two cats with a single, three way high-flow catalyst. That will keep it legal, and give you a little more power. You can get a little more power out of it by putting a hotter coil in it, some 8mm solid core wires, widening your plug gap a little bit, and cutting the bottom of your air box out. And yes, all Subaru 4 lug wheels with the exception of the Justy, are 4x140mm lug pattern. There are some differences in offset that make some of the wheels not interchangeable (for example, EA81 white 8 spoke wheels won't fit on an EA82 car in the front because they won't clear the caliper).
  20. Last time I had to do this, I put a lug wrench out of a full size van into teh lug studs on teh drum, and jammed this to teh ground with a piece of exhaust pipe. I then put another piece of exhaust pipe on my craftsman breaker bar and it came right off. Other time I did this I just had a buddy stand on the brakes, but in the above instance the front brakes were gone so it didn;t work. Although I think my engine removal method takes teh cake. Needed to pull a motor, so Russ (Caboobaroo) and I hunted around for something big, finally found a piece of a steel rack (Like what teh JYs use to put engines and stuff on in their shed) and we used that + 4 lift gate gaskets off 4 Toyota Corolla wagons, and one of us on each end of the steel rack piece and we lifted and sidestepped it out. Got a good laugh out of the forklift driver lol
  21. With all of the people standing around the mud pit when I was out spinning around in my Turbowagon SOMEONE had to get some pics or video or something., I wanna see what my mud slinging looks like from outside the car!
  22. Man, did anyone get any pictures of me out ripping it up in my turbowagon? I still don't have ANY pics of my Turbie out playin in the mud :-( Good pics Brian :-D
  23. What does Amanda do when she coughs or whatever??? Adn I was the dude with the white turbowagon who was picking your brain about the MEgasquirt stuff.. (Andrew/Hondasucks)
  24. I'm diggity down. Especially if there's pics of my wagon, preferably when I was playing in the mud!
  25. Yes, thanks to all for a good show, this was up there with WCSS3.. The mudpit was a blast, my turbowagon is STILL covered, got some weird looks on the way home. Some guy in a green Loyale drove by our caravan that I caught up with and was giving us the "Holy crap there are more Subaru nuts than just I!" look... Got some cool pictures of the line in the rear view, gotta get the film developed. Thanks to Ed for finding me a dash plaque, and thanks to John and crew for the awesome mud pit (Although someone got stupid on Sunday and got it shut down, don't know who, hopefully they let us have it next year.), Thanks to the fairgrounds for teh facilities and the food, and Thanks to IPD and PK Davis for teh free shirts. Awesome show guys, let's try and top it next year!
