  1. We ended up going on the run 3 subarus and 3fords. It was one of the funnest trips I've gone on in a while, at least this time no one blew out their clutch or ran out of gas on the trail, for those of you who know what i'm talking about. Anyways there was about 2 feet of snow at the highest point I ended up getting as far as a 2003 ford f-350 with 35s. I even blazed the trail for 1/2 mile but the snow started packing up in the grill and ratiator and the old brat started to over heat. I got a butt load of pictures and I'll post those up real soon. Jeff
  2. Since I don't have a computer at home, If anyone wants to come along you can give me a call @ 1-360-661-7638. Jeff
  3. On sunday Jan 8th 4 or 5 of us subies are going up to baker lake right up by concrete wa. There has always been good snow there. last year I was pushing snow with my hood. It was the coolest thing ever. There will be all my buddies with there Fords there too, but They tend to just sled on the main road and dink around. If anyone wants to come up or down feel free its always fun to show up the full size fords:-p. We are all going to meet at the buzz in steak house @ 9:00am as it stands now, it's at exit 227 head west for 1/4 mile and it's right by Lowes and Dairy Queen. We'll have breakfast and then head up. Let me know If anyone wants to go. Jeff
  4. My '82 brat has got 259,600 on it I bought it last december, with 240,000. Thats 20,000 miles this year, really thats even more than 20,000, since I've had 30x9.5x15s on it since april. Jeff
  5. My stuck story, everyone has had it happen once or twice. I got stuck in the skagit river, With the tide coming up, in my '79 brat the first day I owned it. That sucked. The best stuck story of all time was with my '69 chevy 2 wheel drive, I was on my way home from Darington and saw this cavinaugh pass. That would have been the fastest way home. but it wasn't. I drove off the road. And walked from lake Cavinaugh to Oso, 9:15 to 11:45 by my self, in the snow. I thought I was going to die, by the cold or a cougar. but I made it. That's my worst stuck story. Jeff
  6. I don't think I'll be able to make it that day, but there is always a chance I can do it still. Jeff
  7. I used longer shocks on mine. The shocks are from my buddys lifted brat that had a 6" lift on it, that were originaly off a '76 landcruiser. They seam to fit just fine. Jeff
  8. I'd like to go but I would not be able to make it on the 27TH (have to repaint the inside of my house, just what I want to do) I could make it for the Dec. 4TH run and I could maybe bring 4 or 5 other soobys w/ me too. Jeff
  9. I don't think I'll be able to make it this time I checked out my brat after last week, cause I had this knocking sound on the way home from down south, anyways come to find out I ripped 2 of the 3 blots that screw into the body off the lift, and I also just broke my 16th cv axle since buying the brat 1 year ago. I would like to go but can't. The hatchbrat is still waiting for a clutch kit too so we are both out. Jeff
  10. If I can get mine put back together and weld the rear end, I'll go down there. Brian is going to get his Hatchbrat from down south, and he's gonna fix it tonight so he might wanna go too. Jeff
  11. Buckley, enumclaw, sumner, Mt Rainer, Wilkison. Kinda all in that area, east of Tacoma. 2 1/2 hour drive from Mt. Vernon. Jeff
  12. I went on that trip and it was hell. Brians car is still down wilkison. Woody (teal wagon) ended up breaking a rear cv alxle, and while we were runing to get gas I blew out one of my tires. and if you ever go to Evans creek with a shell card the nearest shell is in Auburn, a one hour drive. This was one of the coolest trips for wheeling but camping out and all the stuff that went wrong kinda over rode that. I finnaly got home at 10:20pm. It was fun though. I'll be down to do it again. Got a lot of bugs to work out this week. Jeff
  13. There might be room w/ one of us, we might have 4 coming down now. Woody wants to go (the guy with the lifted teal wagon). So someone might have an extra seat. Jeff
  14. Yes we are coming for sure, There might be three of us but two for sure. we're all planning to leave here (mt. vernon) early very early and get down there. That would be cool if you'd give us your number we can all convoy down there. is any one else going to go down too from your area. This is going to be the first hardcore wheeling test for my brat since I've lifted it. I've done a little here and there but no trails or good stuff yet. I'm looking forward to this. Jeff
  15. I'm ready, just today all of us where talking about going down there with todd martin. Funny I look an the board and bang here we go. I'll try and get a few guys to go too like brian and woody. sweet Jeff
  16. Rust, as long as the inner fenders have been in it, it shouldn't be all that bad. But If it has set for a long time look out. I got a '79 BRAT right across the river from concrete and it was the cleanest straightest one ever. I think it's just kinda hit or miss. Just buy all the subarus good or bad that's always kinda been my deal. Jeff
  17. I have 30s on my brat and they got the crap chewed out of them. I got a pic. of it cranked all the way over and it ain't much I even chopped the fenders. Take a look http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showphoto.php?photo=871&sort=1&cat=500&page=2 I have a 4" lift on it now but it still rubs. Jeff
  18. We could always try for the weekend after that. That would be the 9th or the 10th of oct. Just want a few people to show so the date is very flexible. Jeff
  19. A couple of us up here want to get a few guys together and hit the jeep trail for Oct 2nd or 3rd. I kinda want to get up there before it gets to wet, cause if I recal there was one trip up there and it was all crappy and nobody went nowhere, don't get me wrong I want a challenge but you know. Anyways hope a few people sign up it should be killer. Jeff Just to add on it too. It's burley stock subies will not even make it around the gate, well they might but you will never open your driver side door again, so I just had to add that.
  20. Oh I think I'll look into it then. :-\ It could have real big problems now. Jeff
