So I, with a quite a bit of help, Figured it out. The fuse for the Ign-Coil is supposed to be a 15amper and someone had a 20amp fuse in its place. With that being said, I hooked the radiator fan up to a harness with power so it would run full time, that harness ran off the same fuse as the coil and ign. after the Brat would run for close to 20 mins with the fan and motor running the Coil would crap out, Once We plugged the fan in and had the smaller 15 amp fuse in it would blow the fuse, So I figure that the coil was not getting the correct voltage while running and over working the coil to make spark...................... I've made a few lifts and I think its great to make sure everyone has the info to do it, since there are only about 2% of the people here on the board that will really do it anyways. I have whored out the 2" lift to make it known that anyone, ANYONE can make them, rather than someone withholding all the ways of making it, let it be known. It makes you look like a very greedy person for what you have wrote, But I guess some people are like that.................... Brian, Me, and Will are the kind of people that will Help and not look to make money off of our hobby. Not only that the guy only has 5 post, That was a nice welcome there. :-\ ======================================================= I looked just a few post down and saw this http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=94854 Its for a forester but it will give you and Idea I hope that helps a little.................... I keep blowing coils on my 82 Brat, I did a search and have conversed with Bill and a few others but still I can get it to run for more than 17 mins before it pops another coil. I have replaced the dist, the alt. the coil(s) and even made sure there was a red fusable link in the right area.......... I'm almost at a loss here, I tried 3 different distys but I have no Idea, everthing reads right on the voltage and everthing. I just dont know........ any help would be good Jeff

Locked rearends in the snow can save you, or screw you. You have to be very aware of how the car reacts, and it could be just the slope of the road or spining the tires that will send you off the main road and right down F st if you know what I mean. It wont mess anything up driving down the road with a welded diff, I have 3 or 4 rigs with welded diffs and I drive them everywhere, the chirp of the tires gets everones attention at the gas station and they think you have something wrong with your rig that about the only thing that sucks............... Jeff

I dont know if I am going to have any cash for gas to get up there this saturday........ I have a few things going on where I might come up with some, But Either way, I'm going Wheeling.............. some how Jeff

There are about 8 of us that have ran with the belts open, only one time have we had problems, and that was Woody, the 8" lifted car, he was driving through snow and it got built up on the cam gear and knocked the timing off, he was pushing snow with his bumper, the good news was it took 4 sec. to put it back on................. I'm not 100% sure if Loyals and DL's are the same but I thought I would try this with an 87DL Wagon, and Put the GL style dash in it. I found right off the bat the the plugs are totally different, the only way to do it would to be, rewire a ton of stuff. Dont get me wrong I'm sure it could be done but it looks to be a huge can of worms................... Jeff

GL = Grand luxury, tach , oil pressure, volts,T-Tops, D/R and a clock DL = Disapointing luxury, more dash board, No T-Tops a different steering wheel and a S/R Jeff

I have the same thing going on with my Brat, Everytime you swap out the coils your good. I am on the third one........... in three days. I cant figure out what it is, I swapped the dist. alt. and even put a red fusable link in the red area instead of a green one. I can't figure out why it keeps doing it, I havn't had this one poop out on me yet but I'm a little scared to go out on a trip with it. Jeff -
