  1. Under your rear seat in your car there should be a little plug in the middle, if you pull that off there is a 19mm bolt if you tighten that all the way it will pick up the back of your car, I don't know if you've done this before or not, but I'll keep going with this. anyways, If you put 2" blocks in the front and your torsion bars up all the way up in the rear, it will sit flat and about 2" higher, we did this with my buddy mikes rig and this is what it looks like Again there is no lift in the rear just the torsion bars and 2 2" blocks on each side in the front. That's a nice easy way to lift it and not put any extra stress on the rear axles of the EA81's Hope that might give you a bit of an Idea for a little lift!! Jeff
  2. This is what he drew up if you can read it you'll get the idea Jeff
  3. Not to bad, 3eyedwagon cut some at 15deg and there is no camber issue. These ones are straigh so they will kinda ware funny but for the most part it's not a problem. Jeff

BF all terrians are the best tires in the snow Ever. 27x8.50x14 are around too you can order them at les Schwab, and you can get an account there. so there is no reason not to get a good set of tires, 50 bucks a month and you got a good set that should last you for 2 or 3 rigs. Not only that you can drive them on the road and offroad, no more changing over to Atv tires once you get to your wheeling spot. Jeff
  5. How many lifted ones have you had? I've seen you have a lot of stock ones with the fenders cut, but once you have one that's lifted with the Square tube then I may take some of what you say and think about it, till then................... Mike, Rick, Me, Chad, And Cody all have the 2" tube lifts and none, have ever had an issue with the blocks....ever, Mike even jumped his and no problem, his wheel bearing went but not the lift blocks. Jeff
  6. John needed a little help on lifting and getting his Subaru running right. So I let him bring his rig over and stuffed it in the Shop, My buddy Rick also helped out, and this is what happened. Before And now with 3/4's of a lift The rear is sitting on a jack still, one strut hated all of us and did want to be on this car anymore so we got to get one more strut and then She is GTG......(good to go) Maybe tomorrow I we can get a shot of it outside the shop, there aint enough room to get back far enough to get a good shot. Jeff
  7. Well we are going to meet in Monroe at 9:30am and wheel for probably most the day. If you where to give us a call I'm sure me could meet up with you guys somewhere along the line, I'll PM you my Cell phone number and you can give me a buzz while we are up there, and meet you guys at the parking lot or something!! Jeff
  8. That's a bummer looks like your going to miss out on a good run! Jeff
  9. For all the Subaru Show's I've gone to, there have been places to shower and tent up. For the most part the places picked are nice places. It's always good to see that Iowa shows up for the WCSS's. I've met McBrat before but it would be cool to see more Iowans come out for it. It's always a blast!! Jeff
  10. A bunch of us will be up at reiters pit that day. If you came over hwy 2 you could meet up with a bunch of us there!! Jeff
  11. I started on the Maroon one yesterday and I figured out that the timing belt was broke. I replace that and found that she is running on 3 and one or more of the freeze plugs have popped. Looks like this one is going to take a little more work to get her road worthy. I'm heading back out there to pull the motor and get some work done on it. Jeff
  12. Looks like this should be a big group. Jeff

a 195/75/-205/75/14 is where you'll have to look for sizes. you'll have a hell of a time finding tires that are aggressive. C78-14 bias plys are your best bet. Jeff
  14. Are there some pretty good streams up there? Do you think the rain/snow issues could have an effect on that area? Jff
  15. Also the further you get the intake up..........the more power you'll get. Jeff
  16. Southside brake & clutch in Tacoma outsoursed where EMPI makes their axles or better yet where they get their parts, and they will ship them out from the store. I can get them for 57 bucks, other wise they are 70 sum bucks. Jeff
  17. I quit drinking so I just replace my alcholism with compulsively buying cars. These last two I bought are number 60 and 61. And I'm not kidding. Jeff
  18. I got the hitachi on it still, I took the bracket and flipped it over and ground the welded nut off the bottom, then I spun the dist. 180 to get the vac adv out of the way of the thermostat housing, I then had to retime it like hellen keller since I didn't use the EA82 bellhousing....tooth for tooth, and no timing marks:dead:, anyways I had the same problem with the intake hitting the middle of the the motor, so One side has got a few intake gaskets, and No I don't have power steering. I have the scars all over my hands to prove it. Jeff
  19. I just went through all this last week, I ended up replacing then wheel bearings, brakes, rotor, hub, strut, and I think that was it, well a fuel filter but that had nothing to do with the noise. If it sounds like a trian on the railroad track, that's what it is, sooner or later it will start to drive where it wants, thats an unsettling feeling. Jeff
  20. Just wanted to give this a bump, in case there are more people that want to come!!! Jeff
  21. I got an EA81 in my Maroon Wheeler wagon too. I used an EA82 intake on it though so there are a few thing different. I should have just used the EA81 intake, but It gave me a little practice an how to do an EA81 SPFI swap. Is your carbed or injected? Jeff
  22. Ya but a D/R is considered a transfercase. They charge more for that. maybe it is 100 bucks. PAP will some times pull a fast one on ya, On the sheet of paper it says, Axles 11.50 , but in all truth they charge 18.50 and a 3.00 core. The guy who works there in Arlington told me to call and not just take the paper and assume that is the correct price. Jeff
  23. Probably not on this run, I'm going to go 4" instead of 2, the big tires just rub to much. Or maybe 6" then I can run 31" tires!! like Bill does on the Beast. I replaced all the wheelbearings on the Wheeler wagon and now the LF tire rubs like never before. Jeff
  24. No I hear ya, I'm on a mission to own every subaru in Skagit county, I got 17 again and I think that's about 5 too many. I think there is a guy that wants the white one already....so if it went that quick I won't worry about it. As for the Maroon one it is going to get lifted, I might put my SJR Maroon Wagon for sale after I get the lift and everything else done on the other one, I just replaced the drivers side doors and hatch on it, it needed it, but now it looks like the car of many colors. 8 cans of flat black will make er look just like new! Jeff
