Oh at the end of the pigtail on the tumbler switch, I never even thought of that either. Jeff
-
Rear window is plastic and I think the TPS is TU. I havn't done any thing with it yet. The guy I got it from said it ran real crappy, so he parked both of them and started driving a mid 80's 4 banger mustang, I got 12 motors so if worst comes to worst........ SPFI EA81!! Jeff
-
The white one is a 91 loyal and the maroon one is an 88 gl D/R:banana: Jeff
-
The maroon one may become my new Wheeler but I hope to sell the white one for a reasonable price. It runs like a top! Jeff
-
I'm going to try and straighten out the head light a little more, but this is what the fender looked like once we got it off. Jeff
-
I wish I would have got a pic of the white one in the begining, It head light had smashed through the battery, the hood fender, head light, marker light and grill where all gone. I wish I had a White parts car but I had a grey one instead so I replace all that stuff. Jeff

Sort of, it's south about 15 or so miles. Jeff

Check out what I picked up for under, well under 200 bucks As you can see this loyal had some pretty good smashes in the front.....nothing we couldn't handle Aint perfect but sure is a lot better than before. This bad boy runs perfect too!! Jeff
-
Right on.... It seemed as though there was a grounding out issue between the key and the starter on that black w/ the red wire I just bypassed it and she seems to be good to go. Thanks for the help though guys, any info always helps!! Jeff

It wasn't really even that Scott, you just landed wrong and pop....... other than that for the most part it was just like normal.................... Jeff

Winter storm damage to the XT! No's!
one eye replied to Mr. Carb's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I think the XT in Smokey Point is gone now so don't bother going there, ferrels junk yard in Mt. Vernon has 3 or so XT's in it too just as a super duper back up plan. Jeff -
I got one for sale for 150 buck right now. If you go to PAP in Smokey point WA they are 150 bucks. 500 is outragous. Jeff
-
I figured out what it was..... the wire that goes from the ignition (key) switch to the starter (black w/ red line) must have grounded its self somewhere along the line. I cut the wire at the back of the ignition and jumped it to the starter. Jeff
-
I got it to turn over with a screwdriver but it still don't work with the ign, and key the dash just blacks out. Jeff
-
So far I've checked the starter, replaced the ign (key area) checked the fuseable links, and still no start, is there anything else to check? Everything seems to never been taken apart, Just can't figure it out. While turning the key over all the lights come on the dash that should, you can hear the fuel pump go on and off, and as you turn the key for the starter it was making some clicks under the hood, near the TPS, but nothing happened with the starter. After taking the starter out and having it checked at schuck, where it tested good, I put it back in. Now once you turn the key to spin the starter the whole dash goes black and nothing happens. kinda gets a guys goat, I just hope the wires are not all screwed up. Jeff

Sounds good to me..............!! Jeff

I got 2 rears I'll bring both, and give you one to keep, I'll also bring my wiring stuff and all my Wheeling tools, So far it looks like Me chad Rick and I'm going to slam to try and get Dennis's made. I bought two more Wagons today, and 88 D/R wagon and a 91 Loyal, bofum run just need a little work here and there, I bought one for Dennis about 4 months ago, but I've been messing with mine as of latley, fuel filter, wheel bearings, brakes, strut, so on and so on, But I really want to get dennis's going for him he is iching to go out there, I got all the parts for it I just need to do it. anyways that's who is going for sure I also left Reid (88subi4x4) a message on his myspace page to remind him, so maybe him too. Have you talked to Rob? Jeff

I guess we should all have a meeting place,So all the guys coming from the north, We could meet at Conway Shell like last year about 8:30? that will give us some time to get down there since I can only go about 55,the shell is located at Exit 221 on the East Side of I-5. Then all of us meet in the main parking lot at Reiter, around 10:00 am How does that sound to everyone? Jeff

I would have to say that there is something up with the EA81 Axles, one day Rob Broke 3, I broke 1, Will broke 1, and woody broke 1.. All of us wheel different, I would figure that there is somthing that causes them to go. I gave up on wheeling my Brat just for this reason. GD has a post up on how to swap out the EA82 bells to the EA81 axles it is supposed to lenthen them a touch. I looked for that link but, I cant find it. Maybe shoot GD a PM he may have the link saved. Jeff

Looks like some of the heavy hitters are going to come out for this one!!!:banana::banana: Jeff

3 years as a wheeler and still going. Just shows that if you fix all the things that break, and have a good upkeep on them they will last. Crazy thing is there are very little dents in it............. I think I have gone on 98.453% of the trips this car has gone on. It has served it purpose very well, We can only hope to see it for the next 3 years...........or more!!!!!!!!!! Jeff

Just dive in head first, the best way to learn is by trial and error. Either way you'll be able to make it.....just make sure you got a buddy that could come with you, that way you can have a spotter in the tricky spots. Jeff
