  1. I got it now and it seems to work great. It only issue is removing or replacing the motor you don't have any room to work with, you cant jack the tranny up or you'll break the axle. other than that it's good to go!! Jeff
  2. Ok you were right they are 235's I could have sworn that they where 30's, anyways I got it running about a half a hour ago. She runs great. And with no timing belt covers whats so ever. I have a few other little things to take care of on it and it is ready. I'll get some more pics in the morning of the motor. Jeff
  3. right on I'm gonna try the axle slide idea that sounds like it would work thanks to everyone who replied. If the axle idea doesn't work I'll just start making my way down the list and try the motor mount Idea and so on and so fourth. Jeff
  4. I recently bought Scott's 2" lifted 86 GL wagon. I bought it with a bummed motor, no biggie I just put one together and started to drop it on tonight and the bottom bellhousing studs on the engine Start to go in but as you shove the motor back the motor mounts start to hit the motor crossmember. Most of the time once this happens I would just jack the tranny up a little and the motor slides in where it is supposed to. but in my case with the 2" lift the axles cant take the tranny going up any further or they will go snap. Should I take the motor mounts off and them put them on once the whole deal is set up in the car or is there something else that I could do to get the motor in corectly? Jeff
  5. There is always Medford Pit too there are a few places where you can make trails and drive right through the woods with creeks and everthing. Jeff
  6. We used to have a place on fir island we went to Called northfork right along the river on the north fork. Anyways it got shut down because all the meth heads moved down there so now no one can go down there. that was the best place in the world. now it's gone. Jeff
  7. I recently moved into the "Getto" myself, I had a Semi-truck at my house parked in the driveway and some kids wrote Westsidekings down the side of the trailer. It took me about 2 hours to clean that off. I wish I could have found out where they found the paint at cause it was the nicest blue I've ever seen, I just kinda clashed the white and orange truck. Jeff
  8. 30X9.50X15's not 235/75/15 the 30's are about a half inch taller. Just got the timing belts on,Chris is grabbing the intake manifold and the disty needs to go in. After that she is getting dropped in and should be ready for wheeling. April 12th thats a Saturday, Walker Valley how does that sound Scott? I set up a post in the trails and events area if you are up for it or we could go up in Wills area (Concrete). Jeff
  9. Here is where we are at now The motor is going in today, Chris and I went and got the head gaskets and couple of other gaskets to get her going this after noon!! More pics to come!!! Jeff
  10. I'll get a better pic later today. It is sitting on that narrow area between the house and the fence can't get any good shots there.:-\ But I will get one. The whole way home it never overheated but I let it run in the driveway for about 7 min. and I thought she was going to catch on fire. I have never seen a car overheat like that before. It was Amazing:grin: but it's all good, I'm going to go to napa on monday and finish up the motor and drop 'er on in. Then we will be ready for a wheeling trip!!! Jeff
  11. The good news is you stayed with subaru, so many times you see guys just give up on all subarus because of one bad deal with them. Always remember there are always more Subys out there. Jeff
  12. They are redrilled toyota six lugs, with 30X9.50X15's on them. My buddy had them on his chopped hatch but the hatch is in a better place now, RIP, but I got them and they had been sitting on my 4"lifted 83 wagon and I got this wagon today from Scott and he said 30's wouldn't fit. Oh but they do! Jeff
  13. Scott I got the 30's on your old car check it out. I figured since the motor is bad, Why not put big tires on. Before After What do you think? Jeff

  21. Sorry did mean to turn your thread into how drunk can you get and wake up the next morning with a whole new car:) Jeff
  22. I just got real drunk and fired up the die grinder I cut right along the lines where the fender flares out in the front and in the back I trimed the edges. I would recomend not getting to drunk to do it cause you might think the next day you went a little to far. Not only that I fit 30x9.50x15's on it without a lift This was before the lift And after Jeff
