ea81 4speed conversion to ea82 5speed
ru4x4ever replied to mtnman38's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
mtnman38, Check out this site and look at the transaxle mod. I almost did this mod but just replaced my stock due to time. Hope this helps:brow: Good luck http://www.westcoaststompers.com/ -Sean -
The Ultimate Off-Road Roo is what ever you make it! Note the biggest powerplant or the biggerst tires or lift, its in the eye of the beholder. Like on this show about drifting on TLC last night, some of these 80's jap cars were destryoying the $60,000 built drft cars. But all just my $0.02 -Sean

dfragar, I think the ea82 is some rubber or plastic bushings! Not sure but i think i remember hearing that along the line when i did mine. -Sean

Thanks Brian, I was sad to miss the show but hopefully next one i will be there for shizzle!! Looking forward to seeing garner again, hopefully under different conditions! But none the less cool guy!!!!! -Sean

A big high 5 to garner!! He answered back to our thread for a tranny swap the same day it was posted, and i was able to drive to go and pick it up 2 days later. When 75skunkaro and I arrived at his pad, we were greeted with a hand shake, and a Black Butte Porter O' how i love the dark beers!! It's nice to know that we have a nother contact now up north, not just for parts but also for some good beer! The wagon is back on the road and running strong. A little clutch adjusting and should be perfect. Thanks again. Looking forward to hanging out when we get more time. -Sean

Yeah what Mike said, too many things to do for the mod. I have already been 3 weeks without wheels so s/r is more than good enough. -Sean

Dispite all the fun, I agree with FatBrat! If your ging to do it, this guy has done it right. It looks very nice and also FAST! But not all the primer and bondo. It looks pretty complete, I wonder whats under the hood? -Sean

Well around Southern Oregon the multi-colored imports that smoke like a diesel tractor, are all trying to be 2Fast2furious!! Im not sure what angle they are going for but the blue smoke makes me cough -Sean
