  1. Double platinum plugs should last 100,000 miles. In a lot of vehicles, especially fwd cars some of the plugs are a major job to change so the manufacturers went to double platinums. However, platinum is not a very good conductor of electricity. Plain old resistor plugs will give a better spark. Iridiums are the best of both versions- they last as long as double platinums and produce the better spark of the plain resistors.
  2. That part number is an ATP (automatic transmission parts) number, not a NAPA (Wix) oil filter number. $19.49 on NAPA's website.
  3. The guys in the machine shop by me have the same opinion of Penzoil, and after seeing the small block Chevy engine that they tore down caked with black crud I don't recommend it either. They asked the owner of the engine what oil he used and it was Penzoil. We rarely sell any Penzoil. Mostly Valvoline, Mobil1 and now that we carry it, Royal Purple. I noticed my Subaru dealer uses Castrol, wonder if that's corporate or up to invividual dealerships.....
  4. Upstream O2 sensor at NAPA 142 bucks, downstream 106 bucks.
  5. Overall quality is great, no squeaks or rattles, everything fit together well. As for the back seat....not sure about that. I'm the only one in the car, although when I took the parents for a ride Mom said the back seat was very comfy. For a 10 minute ride anyway. I have my seat almost all the way back, doesn't look like much footroom back there. All I can say is I love driving it.
  6. Yes, I have one. I had a Civic EX 5 speed before this, and the Impreza rides so much better and quieter, it's easier getting in and out of, no cables between the shifter and transmission and best of all, torque. VTEC is nice if you are always in the upper end of the tach, but there is no substitute for torque. The only drawback so far is the mileage. I did kind of get used to over 30 mpg around town in the Civic. But, the Impreza is way more fun to drive. I just wish we'd get some snow here i sw MI!!!!
