My hatch battery light is staying on. Im 100 percent sure my alternator and my battery are good, because I took them out of my daily driver hatch, I put it in my other hatch , and battery light is on, I checked all grounds and battery terminals, and alternator wires, coil, everything, I cant get it to turn off. I ddrove it ten miles no problem, I noticed that thye lights arent get brighter with higher rev .which usually means the battery is getting juice. Im not sure if my hatch has a voltage regulator? Anybody have any ideas. 87 htachback

There is 3 rubber hoses that run from the tank and hook into metal lines. All three lines crumbled the metal was rotted out. But the metal lines that run the chassis are fine. Just rigjt in the back right around the fuel pump are rotted. My hatxh is a bit rotten but i suppose I just need to get a t style fitting and just rubber and hope for the best. Lol damn rusty roo

Ok so where to begin. First mistake put am pm gas in my rig. within 20 seconds of leaving the station my car instanltyy started sputtering and runing like crap. so i got it home and parked it. it sat for about a year, I decided to drive the 2wd hatch instead, so i went bck today to get it running, turns out, the back filter got gummed up and plugged, no gas getting to the front filter. changed the filters and all of a sudden fuel started leaking out of one of the metal lines, then it stopped i started the car no leaks, then i started smelling fuel again sure enough fuel started flowing again. So I moved them and felt around and boom all three rubber hoses running form the tank tore out of the metal lines. . has this happened to anyone, and how did you fix it, did you just run rubber or what?

Water pump or head gasket?
HATCHY replied to 87.5ea82txt's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
You can see the water pump if its going bad, just watch it while the car is running it will drip water slowly from the hole on the bottom -
87 hatch ea81.... Car has been lacking power for some time now.. Dieseling after shut down. Immediate sign of bad timing, When I went to put the car into time, I unplugged the vac line, and all that good stuff, and noticed there was no vac sucking on my finger. So I figure the vac advance is not working.. Car is in perfect time now, No more dieseling, just is missing so much power in third, and fourth, This is a low mile import engine too, no smoke or anything good running.Does my Distributor need rebuild? Is this whats causing this Pain?

Extra wires never hurt anyone. Is it true that they didnt use the ej22 in japan? I was talking to a guy at foreign engine, and he said they dont import them becuase they were not used in the japanese market. ej20 was the main engine or 2.5

If you put allt he time into suspension, you need good quality tire, to help hug the road, and there is not many 13 inch tires that are performance

Trust me I know the feeling I had a pathfinder 2 weeks old. I crashed it into a post work van. Al my fault. But all I did was run intoc the side of his van . with my truck. Scraped. And somehow he had neck and back injuries and I slid out and broke the window with my head and totaled the pathfinder. 13 thousand dollars. . I didn't have insurance on the rig yet. I was just getting t ready for switxching g over title and insuring. Sucks bad

cool, ill give it a whirl.

I have ea81 4 wd distributor, My car diesels pretty good, I knoiw the weber causes this, but not to the extent of the dieseling that appenes to me, and I seem to be lacking power somewhere, a little down low and alot up top. Im out of town, no timing light, Which way do I turn my distributor? clock wise or counter clockwise, Just to get me in the ball park.. Thanks
