  1. Wow! ... ... that is Extremely expensive, especially if you compare with our Latin American Prices, here people never want anything for an Hour nor any timing, only for the Job done; in fact for welding the same, at an excellent quality shop, I only paid the equivalent of $ 15.ºº US Dollars, in our Currency, the Lempira. Kind Regards.
  2. Sounds like a Vacuum Leak on the idle air control (IAC) valve, but it could be done by other things; however, as you describe the past problem with the IAC, I would start by checking it. Also it could be a Vacuum leak around the intake injector... worth check and give us feedback. Kind Regards.
  3. Yes! ...and don't forget to share a bunch here Kind Regards.
  4. Now it got re-organized somehow, here: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/forum/30-ultimate-subaru-repair-manual-the-knowledge-base-of-usmb-complied-posts-and-writeups-to-common-problems-and-projects/ Great, the more information Useful here, the Better it gets. I wrote some information regarding how does the different ATF additives affect the Differential, on Automatic Transmission, you can find it, under the "Transmission, Axle and Brakes" section, here: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/148220-automatic-transaxle-lubrication-the-differential/ Kind Regards.
  5. This issue Could being caused due to a Bad Temperature Sensor. With engine cold, measure the resistance (ohms or Ω Value) of that sensor, to be sure it is according to specs, otherwise, change it; it could be sending wrong readings. Kind Regards.
  6. This is how the "BumbleBeast" sits now, with Cheap 15" steel rims and 25" tires ... ... I had to sell the 15" alloys ... Kind Regards.
  7. I like the '80's decade look, that this louvers provide to the Subaru Leone RX Turbo
  8. I like the '80's decade look, that this louvers provide to the Subaru Leone RX Turbo
  9. Thank you for sharing those wonderful photos, I bet that those contain lots of great memories... Hitachi carburetors are Good, while they are New or unmolested for years, But once those get worn or has been "Touched" frequently, They become Craptachi... usually. Kind Regards.
  10. That makes sense. Thank you for sharing the Photos and the information, So the Switch pictured above, which I found on an Early Local GL-10 Turbo EA82 Sedan, Could have been a Dealer installed Fog Lights... that switch was also used on XT / XT6 as far as I know. Kind Regards.
  11. Welcome! We love photos here, so don't forget to share photos of your Subies... by the way, would you mind to share photos of your dad's Subaru 360? That would be Awesome! Kind Regards.
  12. You're Welcome! Would you mind to share a couple of photos of your... ...Subaru powered Barchetta 595, here? Kind Regards.
  13. I'm glad to know that your Weber carburetor retrofitting, went well. Kind Regards.
  14. Also, here you can see the Ford Tempo Coil Springs I have on the Front. More info about those, ~► Here.
  15. Something pretty interesting happened to my "BumbleBeast" after I returned the Geometry of the front to closer to stock specs as possible: the Steering Wheel became Way Softer than ever, and the car feels super easy to maneuver now. I bet that the new steering shaft has nothing or almost nothing to do with that new steering sensation; it must be that everything on the front suspension and steering being super closer to stock specs now, has relieved the stress on such parts; also as an extra benefit, the cheap "Clicking" axles I have in the front of my Subie, somehow became Quiet as new, after the first 1/4 of mile driving ... and then I drove the subie all afternoon doing many errands, without any clicking noise from the cheap axles! It is Amazing how half inch of angle, could change things for worse or better, beyond than we could imagine.
  16. I Agree with Gloyale, Welding the Aluminium Adapter to the Aluminium intake manifold is your best and easier bet; I've done it several times, always with great results, you only need to close the water passage that is on the intake manifold, for the old hitachi carb, prior to the welding job; also by welding, you avoid future vacuum leaks due to worn seals between the intake manifold and the adapter plate. Kind Regards.
  17. As I still have the car jacked up in the Air with the tires hanging, to easily Crawling under it and tight the Nuts, I took a photo, using my cellphone's camera, to show you how the '92 Legacy Steering Shaft looks already installed on my EA82 "BumbleBeast" it does Not need any modification at all, and due to its longer size, it is Perfect for Lift Kits that lowers the engine's Crossmember between 1" and 1½" ... Now I'll change the motor oil on my "BumbleBeast" and call it a day. Kind Regards.
  18. The Rear Alignment is already successfully done! The Bolts for the Crossmember's Blocks shall be 5½" instead of 6" Long ...or shall have a longer thread... I had to use the 6" long ones and due to their short thread, I used a bigger sized nut as Spacer on each one. Everything is already assembled back together.
  19. As I collect lots of information and photos from internet, daily, I don't remember clearly who scanned those images ... but it was someone who posted them in a closed Subaru enthusiast group at Facebook, and I saved them, edited the colour and Contrast, then re-uploaded the scans on my albums, to share those here; because not all people in USMB has facebook nor access private groups. I thought it was Good idea to share those scans here, I sign with "Loyale 2.7 Turbo" all the photos I have uploaded on my photo albums, because I've had bandwidth issues in the Past with my picture hosting servers, as you can read here: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/139920-photobucket-sucks-a-rant-about-picture-hosting-woes/ Kind Regards.
  20. I just finished to Reassembly everything together I'll do a Rear Alignment in Home... ...and take the "BumbleBeast" for a test Ride, then to an Alignment Shop for the Front, as soon as possible. Kind Regards.
  21. Here you can see one of the old and one of the New engine's Crossmember Blocks together:
  22. I am More than Satisfied with the Great Quality of the SJR 2" Lift kit I have. I removed it after all this thousands of Miles and years, and it is absolutely Flawless; the reason it came with a 1" engine's crossmember blocks, was to gain more ground clearance, but I'm changing those 1" blocks, with 1½" Blocks, because in my crazy country, Honduras, is very difficult to find good quality Axles, and I need to keep them as close to the Stock Geometry as Possible, in order to elongate their Lifespan. Now the strut blocks received a fresh coat of paint, and are already reinstalled; also I already installed the new engine's crossmember Blocks, let me upload a couple of photos to share here... Kind Regards.
