  1. Beside DL, GL, RS (imported from USA), RX (Especial Order from Japan), The GT was the Luxury Turbo Wagon (Equal to GL-10 in USA), and the ST was the Luxury Turbo Touring Wagon. On the EA82 we also had GTi in Latin America, for Coupes: Kind Regards.
  2. Welcome! We love Photos here ... ... Don't forget to share some of your Subies. Kind Regards.
  3. I bet that instead of "2105" she wanted to Write "2015"
  4. Welcome! Nice Subaru, You'll enjoy the great fellowship on this worldwide forum. Greetings from Honduras.
  5. Also, I use Flösser Bulbs on other lamps of my Cars, Such like the H4 for the Head Lamps... ...and the 1156 / 1157 bulbs: Kind Regards.
  6. It is Awesome to see Rear Disc Brakes retrofitted on a '74 Subaru! It must have Front Disc Brakes Already, isn't it? Could you share more details on the Retrofit? I'll like to know where did these Rear Discs came from, and how hard was the Job. Kind Regards.
  7. I removed the Lousy H3 Bulbs that came with the Lamps, To place the Great quality ones instead. Take a Look of this comparison photo of both together
  8. First I obtained the Cheap Halogen Lamps... ...and the Great quality H3 Halogen Bulbs...
  9. The clear Halogens I installed on the "KiaStein" years ago, got tired and since we drive in Mountain highs that usually have dense Fog during night times, I decided to change the Old, worn clear Halogens, with a pair of Yellow ones, also placed under the Bumper, for better light spreading pattern.
  10. I am very Deeply disappointed with the Lousy quality of the "Kia Genuine Parts", specifically the two Brand New rubber hoses with inner braided core, that the local Kia dealer sold to me, for the Automatic Transmission's Cooling Lines... I purchased them right after I finished to change the Differential, when I did the complete Transmissions' internals cleanup, three months ago, more information & photos on that subject, in previous posts of this thread. The Old transmission cooling hoses were dry, hard, but in Good Shape for being the original ones of the Car, but I decided to change them with newer ones from the Kia Dealer, which used the vehicle's Vin number to sell me the appropiate parts. Long story short: I noticed that the new hoses were very thin, in fact, they looked like a condom with thin braided nylon, extremely flexibles... and they lasted less than two months and a half of average driving: suddenly, one of them ripped out, in the middle of a Trip, leaking two full quarts of the fresh ATF to the road, and my wife noticed that 'till the car went to neutral in the middle of nowhere. My wife used her cellphone to call to the insurance company, for a tow truck, to bring the car back to home again... 70 miles away. The two Reason why I wanted then, to install original Kia replacement hoses, were: . The Braided Hose must be intended for Hot Oil in High Pressures, and I thought that there won't be nothing better than original Kia replacements. The Hoses had many diferent intrincated curves, shaped to avoid hitting anything on the engine bay. But the Old hoses were triple thick than the New ones. When I removed the two "New" Kia hoses after two and a half months of use, the two looked "inflated" to two sizes more from their original diameter, and came out extremely soft... including one of them ripped out. So, I decided to search for a suitable hose replacement, it must be designed to bear High Temperatures of Hot Oil at High Pressures, and I found in a local car parts' store, a "GoodYear" brand hose for Hot, presurized oils (Hydraulic use) which beside the inner braids, also has an external, protective braid: Despite that this hose comes without any curve nor shape, it was pretty easy to install it, without touching anything on the engine bay, so Problem = Solved. Kind Regards.
  11. Maybe the 7/8" Master Cylinder would have been enough for this Kia, however the 15/16" is the one that the Kia Engineers used for the models that came from factory with four wheel Disc Brakes... Kind Regards.
  12. Somehow, the Black Handles were Standard in LADM (Latin American Domestic Market) Specs, but I recall to have seen Black Plastic ones, on the Later Models... or their metal wasn't as heavy as the chromed ones... Kind Regards.
  13. Thank You, and I Agree! Also I Agree. I believe those are Jackman Rims, see this Thread for Further Details and Photos: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/141075-teach-me-about-jackman-rims/ The best way to share photos here is uploading them to a photo hosting website, such like Photobucket, Facebook, etc... then once you view the photo there, do a right click over the photo and copy its URL address, then come to do a post here, you'll see in the Tools of the post window, a small green square, under the A and the ... hit it, a dialog box will appear, then erase the http:// that the dialog box has, and paste the copied URL address of the Photo. That will display the photo here. Kind Regards.
  14. Your Subaru Looks Beautiful! Kenya also got the Black Plastic door handles, like Latin America. I like how the Hiace rims looks on your Subie... May I ask you which coil springs you used? Kind Regards.
  15. Thank you so much for your Kind Words, which I Really Appreciate ... ... I decided to make individual Writeups for each different Modification, instead of making one single Huge Thread with everything, where useful information could get lost among pages... and this thread is an "index" for those writeups. Also I have another family Heirloom car: Click ~► Here for info & Photos. Kind Regards.
  16. No, I did Not painted anything on the instrument Cluster and your eyes are not fooling you. My "BumbleBeast" is an "Early Edition" 1985 Model, and thus explain the reason why it has Amber tinted instrument Cluster + Dashboard buttons from factory, instead of the factory Green everything, found on Later models. Here you can see a Comparison between the Newer and the Older instrument clusters on the same car, that is Not my photo, I found it online, and in it, both instrument clusters are lit with regular incandescent Bulbs: On previous page, post Nº 65 of this thread, you can see Photos and even a Video of how it looks the original Amber instrument cluster of my "BumbleBeast" after I changed all its incandescent bulbs, with white, multi tip Leds: Kind Regards.
  17. So, I decided to change the Whole set of Coolant Hoses on my Subaru "BumbleBeast" and I found that the water inlet pipe, known as the thermostat housing, was covered with some kind of scales plaque, and when I tried to clean it, a chunk of metal broke off from it. This is not the first time I dealt with a broken inlet pipe, I managed to get made a brand new one for my '69 coupé, long years ago; that was made of Brass. So this time, I decided to get another one "Made in Honduras" but this time done in thick aluminium; So this is the Results: I made this Photo Collage, just for Fun: The original material from those Thermostat Housings, is known as "Pot Metal" The upper threads aren't needed on my Subie, so the new aluminium inlet pipe looks cleaner; also I don't use thermostat on that engine, since late 1985, it isn't really needed in the Caribbean climates... The full story is Here: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/99881-what-have-you-done-to-your-soobie-lately-please-post-in-here-and-keep-it-going/?p=1275128 Kind Regards.
