  1. I am Really glad to read that you fixed it easily. Also I, please let us know. Kind Regards.
  2. Your "Woody Wagon" Looks really Beautiful. And it is on the Right hands! Kind Regards.
  3. Well, in my Case, I used the Traditional thick paper gasket, previously smeared in Shellac, which is Gasoline Resistant, on both sides, and that thing works awesomely Perfect, plus is fast and easy to do, also it doesn't need any time to cure, just smear, put and go... I've used gasketless seals on transmission's oil pans, smearing Mega Grey or Ultra Grey Silicones with great results; but the kind of gasketless sealing you're doing on the Carb, is something new for me. I hope it will work fine for you, and that it will last many time... Kind Regards.
  4. Depending on the Area / Bolt, this ideas might be Helpful: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/70589-idea-to-re-thread-in-aluminium/ Kind Regards.

  6. If not mistakenly placed 1156 instead of 1157... I bet that there is a short circuit between the two contacts, inside the mere socket. Kind Regards.
  7. Awesome! Thank you for sharing the story and the Pictures of your Really Beautiful Subie. Kind Regards.
  8. I have used Shellac several times, including on my Weber install, always with Great Results. ~► http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/permatex-indian-head-gasket-shellac-compound-2-oz-20539/7160106-P Kind Regards.
  9. Yes, I believe so. When you did the Weldings, are you Sure that no wire got melted? ... If not, then you might start tracking those wires... Maybe there are some crossed connections, some wires has similar plugs. Kind Regards.

  12. Nice "Award Winning" Subaru, I Really Like it! May I ask more info about the Award? Kind Regards.
  13. OK, in that case, let me Quote here another post from another Thread: Also, the in-line external Fuel Pump that Napa sells for the Dual Tank Ford F-150, and other EFi vehicles, has Part # 2p74028, you only need to change the 3/8" nipple in one side, with a 5/16" one. Kind Regards.
  14. It is important to know if your 1989 Subaru DL Wagon, has the EFi or the Carbureted Engine. Kind Regards.
  15. Assuming that your car is an EA82, (There is not enough background info) Yes, look for a Worn "Main" A/C Relay, under the Dashboard, up above the internal Fusebox Area. More info & Photos, here: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/87523-how-to-swap-the-old-roundie-relays-with-standard-bosch-relays/ That relay sends the Power signal to the Two relays outside, on the engine's bay, for the Fan and the A/C Clutch. Kind Regards.
  16. Somehow I Agree with You, but they look surprisingly Great onto the SVX. do you have more information about that SVX? Kind Regards.
  17. Want to see photos of Honduran Subarus? I posted a bunch, at the Legendary: "Strange & Weird Subaru Stuff" Thread. Kind Regards.
  18. Honestly, if the Fuel Pump is getting bad, it could left you stranded in the Middle of Nowhere, so your only "Cheap" alternative to a Genuine, brand New Subaru Fuel Pump, was already pointed by MilesFox: Use one for a Dual Tank Ford, it also is External and could come from a Junk Yard Car. Kind Regards.
  19. As MilesFox wrote, the Fuel Pump is outside the Tank and easy to Change, look at it next to the Tank. It also could be Loose and / or having a clogged Fuel Filter issue. Worth starting by Changing the Fuel Filter... Those were on Private Messages... You're Welcome!
  20. Great! Thomas, please let me know if you Like the new Suspension's Behaviour of the SafariWagon. ...and bring home more Trophies this Year!!! Kind Regards.
