  1. Yes, it it True, because the 1984 ~ 1986 were the Same, and 1987 ~ 1990 had some changes in design, engine management, wiring harness and optional equipment (More info, details & photos ~► Here) and then the late models 1990 ~ 1994 were simplier. 1990 was the Last year for Turbo EA82. Kind Regards.
  2. A little off-topic, but very kindly let me ask: Andrew, I remember seeing that Awesome Turbo Sedan before, also I have photos of it; and as far as I remember, on the Driver door's information plate, it says it was made in October 1984, isn't it? If that is the same car, its EA82T has pretty similar distributor management than the EA81T, could you post photos of it in order to properly help you find the issue? But that sounds to me like Burned Ignition Module... However I could not be sure without being there doing tests, but seeing Photos of the Distributor might help. Kind Regards.
  3. The original Air Filter Box on my '85 EA82 had that hole also; it is for drain purposes. Kind Regards.
  4. Awesome! Post photos of the Lift Kit build Process, and install, if you can... Kind Regards.
  5. You're Welcome! So, will you obtain the Blueprints? Kind Regards.
  6. He has a Phone Number under his Username, seems like he doesn't have internet for a while...
  7. Have you ever seen this Accesory? It came on a Subaru RX EA82T, This one: As you can see it, here: ~► http://www.roverclassic.com/othercarspictures.asp?id=14
  8. Well, if all the Struts are Alright, you might consider the idea of swapping the Rear Coil Springs with the Honda ones written on my Writeup; that will fix the rear sag & low sitting for shure, in a easier & Cheaper way than purchasing four new struts. Kind Regards.
  9. For EA81 and EA82 engines, Usually both main jets are 140 Redline-Weber conversion kits comes like that, also. Kind Regards.
  10. Still Waitin' God, if I ever lose hope, help me to remember that your plans are always better than mine...
  11. Yes, only the very early EJ15 and EJ16 were Carburated. So, since your EJ16 is EFi and writing about its fuel economy... the bad fuel economy and the slow response that changes to fast response only if you floor the gas pedal, could be done by some different causes; let's start from the Basics: Dirty fuel injectors and something wrong with the Throttle Position Sensor or its Wirings. Kind Regards.
  12. That is Weird!!! Are you sure that the Poppin' noise is comin' thru the Weber's Throat? All the Sparkplugs, Cables, etc... are in good shape? The Gasoline isn't very old? How does it accelerate?
  13. You're Welcome! ... ... Thank you for your kind words. The answer to your new question is: To close the opening at the Cat, and remove the flexible metallic hose. Kind Regards.
  14. Yes, seems like the Timing is Way off... 140 + 140 is the Usual jetting for EA82's Well, I kindly suggest you to not use the Return line on the Webers, it could cause gas starvation somehow... I left it unhooked since many years ago, on mine. If you still want to hook a return line, then You'll need to change the threaded fuel inlet pipe from the carb, for another one that has a smaller diameter return, in some kind of stretched "Y" shape. Kind Regards.
  15. I Kindly suggest you to start by Moving Forward the Timing at the Distributor... Despite that my EA82's under the Hood Sticker said: 8º (+/- 2º) I discovered that it Runs way better between 18º and 22º ... I run it at 20º since many years ago. Also, do you know how big are the Weber's main Jets? Kind Regards.
  16. Yes, I Agree about the Springs... That is Why I posted above (Post Nº 10) a Link with info on them, The mounting perch differences between 2WD and 4WD, etc. It has photos, but I bet that no one here has seen it... Kind regards.
  17. About how many HorsePower you can get from your impreza, remember: The more you can get, the less reliable the car will be... I've seen 1,100+ Hp imprezas, even in Latin America, from their four Cyl. 2.5L engines with some modifications... This one is on Paraguay, south america: 1124 HP: ...but if I were the Driver, I will never use that thing as daily driver, otherwise I'll expect a Blown engine anytime... Kind Regards.
  18. To upload pics: ► First, upload them to your Facebook, or Photobucket, imageshack, etc... ► Second, open the Pic there, do a Right click and select "Copy Image's URL" ► Third, start a post here, then select the tiny green square, which is under the A and the It will open a Dialog box, so the... ► fourth step is to Paste the URL on said Dialog Box ... Voilá! ... The Photo will display here.
  19. Unless it has turned back to Zero and started over again... like my '69 Mercury Coupe: more than four times and counting. Those cars' only count to 99,999 Miles. Kind regards.
  20. Thank you for such a nice article! https://jalopnik.com/this-honduran-subaru-nut-writes-awesome-how-to-manuals-429795764 Appreciated Fellows, the List of Downloadable Files which I have been sharing here since years ago, has been updated, and reuploaded, here: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/122276-the-bumble-beast/page-7?do=findComment&comment=1367468 Kind Regards.
  21. Yes... but Keep it like that: "Bubble" beast ... ... By the way, Nico, your Subaru is absolutely Awesome. I really like everything you have done to it, I've been following your build thread since the beginning. My Subie is way more old-school... Lifted and being used as daily driver on weekdays (60% usage) and as offroading weekend warrior (40% usage) still on its original EA82 engine, but Weberized... Beyond 300K miles and all these years together since 1985, and tons of modifications, it is more like a Brother than a car, for me. Kind regards.
  22. Welcome! So, 300 Hp aren't enough... Do you have Photos of your Subie? We love Photos here Kind regards.
