  1. Well, when I first removed the Cat located in the middle of the "Y" pipe, plus removed the Cat at the middle of the Pipe, the Exhaust sound of my EA82 changed a little to a more deep burbling sound, despite that the Subie still ran with its original muffler for a while. I didn't knew that... Kind Regards.
  2. I didn't need to change them with my 2" lift, only removed the mechanical fan's frame, because I dropped the Engine's crossmember and the fan blades were impacting there. Kind Regards.
  3. But other people like to ... (well, add your favorite adjective here) ... them:
  4. Well, too many trashed Subaru photos has been uploaded here none by me until now. I came across this photo on Facebook, some time ago: Somewhere in Canada, as far as I could remember... I don't like to see Subies like that. Kind Regards.
  5. That is a Factory Decal on the Sides? It says "SUBARU" instead of "BRAT" While it says "BRAT" on the License Plate... Kind Regards.
  6. The MPFi EA82 engine is Rare in the USDM (united States Domestic Market), but very common in the AUDM (Australian Domestic Market), and LADM (Latin American Domestic Market) so, your subie's engine bay looks similar to this one, isn't it?
  7. I removed both catalytic converters on my EA82 wagon more than twenty years ago, and welded there straight 2" pipes, the thing has been working awesome since then, it improves the exhaust flow (faster engine response times) and decreases the workin' temp a little, while adds a louder tone, but I don't need to pass emission tests here. So, since EA82's and EA81's are pretty similar, I bet that welding a straight pipe there, is the way to go; 'till you can obtain another catalytic converter; maybe a junk yard one in good shape will be enough. Kind Regards.
  8. That's a bunch of things, well done! About the Catalytic converter... I removed both on my EA82 wagon more than twenty years ago, and welded there straight 2" pipes, the thing has been working awesome since then, it improves the exhaust flow and decreases the workin' temp a little, while adds a louder tone; but I don't need to pass emission tests here. So I bet that welding a straight pipe there, is the way to go; 'till you can obtain another catalytic converter; maybe a junk yard one in good shape will be enough. Kind Regards.
  9. You're Welcome! Try with other web Browser, or try to Clean the Cache from your computer; I use a free program known as CCleaner (Crap Cleaner), it works awesome to clean not only the web browser, but all Windows' system from garbage and junk, also fixes delays by cleansing the registry. See it Here ~► http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner Kind Regards.
  10. That is Something New for me! Thanks for sharin' the info. Kind Regards.
  11. Since EA81's and EA82's are pretty similar, I suggest to run the Weber with 140 on both Low & High and try driving it in mixed conditions; if your mileage is poor, maybe you might reduce the low one to 120... The original craptachi carb on my EA82 came jetted from factory with 116 on Low, as far as I remember. Kind Regards.
  12. You're Welcome. I bet he had idle problems, maybe he changed both mains to 200 while kept the air needles stock and weren't enough to keep that engine idling, and thus might explains why he drilled a hole on one butterfly... The mains on my Weberized EA82 are 140 in low and 162 in High, but Redline-Weber sells their kits for EA82's with both @ 140. Good Luck! Kind Regards.
  13. The photo didn't worked this time. For Photos: ► On rich text format: use their Direct URL and paste it on the dialog that appears after hitting the green square symbol ► On non rich text format, paste the image's "IMG" code, given by the Photo's hosting web site. You're Welcome! Yes, the new software has Glitches, I discovered that button months ago, and after it decided somehow to let me upload videos, it worked in three seconds, despite that I went back to the ritch text format, and my internet connection... sucks! I'm glad that we found a solution to the Videos issue, keep comin' the Awesome 360 Videos! Edit: Try uploading photos as I wrote above. Kind regards.
  14. I see that you posted a Video while I was writing the above's post, and this time worked. What did you changed?
  15. Once again worked for me, I believe that you have problems with your Web Browser (Software) on your computer. To get a preview of any post, after you wrote one + paste any link you might want to display, hit the "More Reply Options" button, instead of the "Post" button, that will generate the Preview I wrote above. I Kindly suggest you to use another web browser, if you're usin' Internet Explorer, why don't you try with google's Chrome? Kind Regards.
  16. Let me try again, this time I will upload a video From my own youtube's channel, using the shortened url: By the way, this is a LADM (Latin American Domestic Market) Specs Subaru Legacy with factory Dual Range and Factory Carb'd + Disty EJ20 engine. Kind Regards.
  17. Worked for me, I just needed to hit the "Preview Post" button and be patient enough to see if the USMB's system displays the Video, it took around three minutes and the video displayed well on the preview, then I hit the "Post" button, and Violá, I see the Video on my Post above. I Hope this works for you. Why don't you try to upload a video here? I kindly suggest you to use the complete Youtube's link, Not the Shortened youtu.be one. Kind Regards.
  18. You mean postin' videos from youtube? ... ... Let me Try:
  19. Welcome! Could you post a Photo of the MPFi's MAF Sensor? Kind Regards.
  20. That is weird... and yes, it could be the cause, because it lets more air to get in, despite the butterfly is closed. I Kindly suggest you to obtain another butterfly and change it. Kind Regards.
  21. Five Years? ... you mean you drove your subie with worn Ball Bearings for Five Years? Once I had a Ball Bearing issue on the same side (rear / Passenger) of my EA82 Wagon, after a month of making noises, I was planning to change 'em the next weekend, suddenly one of said bearings decided to fail and the rear wheel immediately stopped spinning without mercy; I was drivin' ~ @ 30 Mph during late night in a Boulevard and the car stopped in almost straight line. The car won't moved forward, but I managed to drive in reverse few meters 'till I heard a grind sound; then I was able to drive slowly forward to my home (Few blocks away from the fail place) where I did inspected everything the next morning. Long story short: I had to replace the whole trailing arm, because the bearing damaged the spindle beyond safe repair... Since then, I change any noisy ball bearing as soon as possible... so I am amazed how yours lasted working worn for five years... you're Lucky! Kind Regards.
  22. Thank you for the explanation, I did not knew about that. Seems to be a pretty bad idea for our Subies... Kind Regards.
  23. Please excuse this question, but seems like I'm lost in translation: What is a Hockey Puck lift? Kind Regards.
