  1. So Sorry for Hijack this Thread once again, but about This: Could this be the Living Proof of a Dual Range Automatic Subaru? It Came on a JDM Specs Subaru EA82 GT-II More info ~► Here. /Hijack. Kind Regards.
  2. This is the "Under-the-Hood" Sticker I was Writing About, just in case you wanna see it: Kind Regards.
  3. How About those Single Port, but MPFi Heads? OCDan, Very Kindly, Please let me Ask you a especial Favor: Could you Post a Photo of Both Heads Together Again, but from the Under Side, Where Reads EA82? I Really want to See if the EA82 is Underlined, Alone or Surrounded by a Square... That will Explain the Casting on the Gen III Heads for the EA82. Kind Regards.
  4. So This is what I'm Writing About: MPFi EA82 Non-Turbo Heads: Those aren't Intended for the TBI (Throttle Body Injection) Found on the SPFi EA82's Kind Regards.
  5. Remember that Early EA82's were offered with Non-Turbo MPFi Config also... Those are another Kind of EA82's Heads. Kind Regards.
  6. My Subaru "BumbleBeast" has been Running with Coverless Belts for long time without issues. The Clunkin' Sound also could be a Loose Exhaust somehow, so I Kindly suggest you to check it too, once it's Cool! Kind regards.
  7. You're Welcome! ... That link also shows a Slightly Cooler Temps ThermoSwitch, in case you use Twin Electric Fans. Kind Regards.
  8. Thank you for your Kind Answer... so No "Under-the-Hood" Stickers for UK Models? ... That's New for me. And I Agree with you: Kind Regards.
  9. Despite that there are Twin Intake & Single intake EA82 Heads, there are Three Generations of Single Intake EA82 Heads, As you can See, ~► Here. Kind Regards.
  10. Maybe the Shock Absorber is Fully Extended and Due to the Car inclination (I Guess, because only one side is Mounted, so far...) It wont let it go Down... ¿ ? Maybe it will work when you install the other side's one and let the car on Level on the Floor... Good Luck!
  11. According to online databases, The KYB 341232 I used in the Rear of my Subaru "BumbleBeast" does interchange with: ~► Monroe D8344 ~► Sachs 230631 ~► BOGE 27-D67-A But any other Toyota Shock Absorber could be "Visually" Identical, but might have some differences, such like even shorter travel, Harder ride, Thicker Body, etc... So I Kindly suggest you to Stick to the KYB Part Number I Provided, I can not guarantee to work the other ones...
  12. Well, Despite that CZNY used the same coil spring that you used, he did cutted a small portion from one turn... I Did not cutted anything, but I Obtained mine in a Junk Yard (Called here "Yonkers") so they were Used, Maybe yours are Brand New and Stiffer... also I used another part Number, but seems to be the same fitment. Kind Regards.
  13. Thank You! Yes, that was Exactly what I was Writing About. Kind Regards.
  14. Maybe I'm Late to post this Link, but I believe it still could be Useful: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/125754-easy-guide-on-five-steps-to-twin-electric-fans-swap/ Kind Regards.
  15. @ Nick: Yes, you're Right, Honduran fuel is a very Low Octane Fuel; but let me tell you that my Subaru came Running from USA almost New, in 1985, so it is a USDM (California) Version, and it has an "Under-the-Hood" Sticker that says set the Timing at 8º ... +/- 2º ... Also I saw the same Sticker on Local (LADM = Latin American Domestic Market) Specs EA82 Subarus from the same Era... ...So I was Curious to see what says in the "Under-the-Hood" Sticker in your 1991 Carburated EA82 Subaru; Have you seen it? Does it Says 8º or 20º? I Believe that the Timing set varies on the Market, depending more on the Emissions Control Stuff installed on the Engine, rather than the Gasoline it will use. @ Lacyjs9: You're Welcome! Sorry for Hijack your Thread... ... Kind Regards.
  16. ...for the USDM only. LADM and other world areas continued receiving Carburated EA82's up to 1994. (By the way, early EJ engines also came factory with Carb + Disty up to 1994 to LADM = Latin American Domestic Market) Nick: I found your post a Little "Contradictory" Because first you wrote: Which as far as I Know, is 8º +/- 2º is the factory specs for Carburated EA82's. But then you Wrote: So, Unless your 1991 Carburated EA82 does specify 20º I believe that you set the timing on your engine, by the EFi EA82 Specs. Could you give more info on that subject? ... I Wonder if Subaru changed the Specs for Late Carburated EA82's. Also, those of us with Carburated EA82's with Weber Carburator, use the timing set at 20º as the EFI EA82's Specs, without issues. Kind Regards.
  17. I Believe that Removing and Disassembling an Hitachi Carburator is a Good School to Learn about Carburator Maintenance, it is Not Easy to Do at all, but the main problem is not the many tricky things you'll need to realign, the main problem is the Metal Fatigue, much more noticeable on the metal alloy that hitachi used to build those carbs, so, they trend to be misaligned in certain spots, as you already noticed in the accelerator pump, but other areas also, that usually lead to certain malfunctions; such as the one you're experiencing now. What I'm trying to explain is that the Hitachi carbs are Good when they're New, but they fail very much as they get old, because the metal gets misaligned beyond the tolerances. I don't know if you live in an emissions regulated Area, that maybe somehow "Forces" you to Keep the old Hitachi carb, but if you could do an Swap, I kindly Suggest to swap a Weber carburator; not only for its simplicity and increased eficiency, but also because it will last much longer than the Hitachi... maybe even longer than the engine itself. But if you want to Fix that issue(s) on the Hitachi, you must take off it again and measure the flatness of each surface to be mated, and rectify them as needed. Good Luck! Kind Regards.
  18. When my Subaru "BumbleBeast" Flasher started to act... like Failing or Flashing speedy a couple of times prior to Fail or doing nothing, I Disassembled the Unit and Cleansed everything with an Electronics Cleaning Spray, then I Lubed with dielectric grease the moving parts and Voilá! ... It has been working good again, for two years now... Kind Regards.
  19. Carburated EA82's are intended to be set at 8º while EFi EA82's are intended to be set at 20º My 1985 EA82 "BumbleBeast" used to have an Under the Hood Sticker which said 8º +/- 2º and is FWD 5MT. Despite that, since I run it with a Weber Carburator, I set it to 20º without any issues. EA82's with Hitachi carburators shall has it at 8º Kind Regards.
  20. All those will fit on the Subaru Leone Gen III Not Gen II which is the Older Model. Kind Regards.
  21. Yes, the Ford Tempo Spring Coils works... I use my Subaru "BumbleBeast" with those since many years ago. As you can See, Here: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/106807-improved-shock-absorbers-and-spring-coils-on-loyales/ Sounds pretty interesting... Have you searched among the VW community -online- for its Measurements? Kind Regards.
  22. This writeup might be Helpful: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/129601-how-to-easily-test-an-ignition-module/ Kind Regards.
  23. The Ford Tempo Coil Springs has been working Flawlessly since many years ago in my Subaru "BumbleBeast" as you can read ~► Here. Those makes the Front Suspension Firmier & Sporty, but also I added Honda Accord Coil Springs in the Rear of my Subie, to gain the same control in the Back. More info on the above posted Link. Good Luck! Kind Regards.
  24. Could you Post Photos of said Parts? I Suspect those are for the impreza and there could be a confusion on the Catalog listings. Kind Regards.
