  1. That usually happens when the wire that comes from the Sender unit at the Oil Pump, becomes loose and does touch the Ground, sending all the ground signal to the needle: It pegs up and then stretches the coil behind the needle, so it sits down below the 0 mark when power is turned off. You can fix & isolate the wire from the sender, also you can "Move" the needle on the dash, to let it sit in 0 again, but it will always be reading lower due to the damage to its coil; however, you can Swap the Oil pressure gauge from another cluster... Kind Regards.
  2. That is the Reason why I wrote that there 'could' be a short-circuit on the Turn Signal wiring. Also, the Original Poster wrote: and that made me believe that there 'should' be some kind of interaction between those two Different Circuits: The HeadLamps one and the Turn Signal One. Also, I believe it is related to the positive (+) signal of the Headlamps ... I imagine that Maybe when the Headlamps are 'on', their positive are barely grounding (Like salty Humidity between wires) somewhere nearby the turn signals' wiring, in the lamp's area, but that is not a "Complete" short-circuit... yet, or the fuse would have blown. Good Luck! Kind Regards.
  3. I use my "BumbleBeast" 60% on city driving during weekdays, and 40% offroading during weekends; I go Wheelin' to the Mountains almost each Weekend I can, and its EA82 does run Coverless: Both timin' Belts are completely "Naked" and I Never experienced any problem with them so far ... ... you can read much more info about that, plus photos & Videos, ~► Here. Kind Regards.
  4. I believe that the Left Turn Signal Lamp's wiring could have a Short-Circuit nearby the HeadLamp, in the area where all those wires are wrapped together; sometimes that wrapping or the wires, get crushed between parts, and with time they develop short-circuits, so I Kindly suggest you to start searchin' for a Short Circuit, from the Bulb's Socket and continue followin' the Wiring 'till it reaches the Firewall. Kind Regards.
  5. Yesterday, I took the Family in my "BumbleBeast" to a huge Shoppin' Mall where is the Biggest "Walmart" in Honduras; I was Searchin' for some Christmas gifts, also searchin' for the Limited Edition Subaru Brat, made by Hot Wheels... ...and I ended spending Half Hour searchin' on this Huge Pile of Hot-Wheels-Only Cars, from the Floor to the Roof: ...and Nothing ... ... but being at Lps 39.00 in "Lempiras" our Currency, equals to $ 1.90 US Dollars each, I purchased a Nice VW Brasilia. Well, at least the Family spent a Great afternoon... This Picture was Taken from the Small Electric Train that runs on the Mall's Second Floor, (I took a Ride with my Baby Daughter & Wife): Merry Christmas for You All!

  7. How about a Legacy Sedan V8? ~► And its Burnout: ~► Another one: Legacy Wagon V8: ~►
  8. I Believe that one of the Biggest Engines ever fitted onto a Tiny Subaru, is the V8 Powered Subaru Sambar... ~► ...Especially if you Consider that it came factory with a Two Cyl. 600 Engine!
  9. The Worse part of using 2.25" Strut Lift without Dropping Engine's Crossmember, is the Excesive Axle wear it gonna develop, also Alignment problems...
  10. Those are Nice Photos of a Nice Subie, I Like how the JDM Fender Mirrors does Look on your Subie! Did you use 1156 LED Bulbs in 6000K for the Corner Lights? My "BumbleBeast" is 1985, so the Mirrors are mounted in the Door, around an inch far from the Glass, and it does cover the whole area. Let me Post a Photo to Show you.
  11. Beautiful Pictures... Even from a Cellphone's Camera; I like how your Subie does Look in the Snow! Kind Regards.
  12. This: Is an Awesome, Clean and Well Done Retrofitting Work! I Almost can not wait to see the Results... Thank you for keeping us Updated and for Sharing such Great info! Kind Regards
  13. Yes, sanding the whole Back is Good Idea, I Kindly suggest you to use fine grain sandpaper (~600), in order to avoid scratches; then you can use a Carnauba Based Wax to polish the Sanded back. Don't forget to place the front of the Cluster's area, over a Soft cloth on a Level Surface, again to avoid damages. Keep us Updated! Kind Regards.
  14. Dear Friends: The Early instrument clusters on those models got an Amber Background illumination, but after ~ the first couple of production years, subaru switched to a Green Background illumination on those clusters; I thought that the Amber Clusters did not had any tint behind the Numbers and that the Amber tone was due to the incandescent Bulb's tone themselves; while the Green clusters does have a green tint painted behind the Numbers. Amber Clusters have a thin layer of Amber Tint behind the Numbers, but that Amber tint layer is way much thinner than the green tint layer on Newer green Clusters. Recently I did the LED Bulbs' Retrofit onto another Subaru Loyale (Not Mine), Also I used the same T-10 (194) White (5000K) Multiple Led Bulbs on another Non Subaru Cars' Clusters, and noticed the Difference; Specially in my Wife's "KiaStein". The "KiaStein" did have Light Blue Rubber Caps -Condom Like- Covering the original incandescent Bulbs, to give a Whiter Background Colour over the natural yellowish of the incandescense; I swapped 'em using the Multiple LED T-10 Bulbs without any rubber cap, and That Cluster really is untinted... This is how you easily notice the Difference: The Resulted illumination in the "KiaStein" resulted in a Cool White Colour, while in my "BumbleBeast" resulted in Warmer White Colour, but way much whiter than the incandescent bulbs. I Really, Really preffer the Looks of my "BumbleBeast" Cluster over any other I've retrofitted so Far... Next week I'll do the Retrofit onto another non-Subaru Cars... My Friends really Liked my Idea! Well, Let's Continue with the Updates. Kind Regards.
  15. Great! ... ... subscribed. Thank you for sharing those Amazing Videos. I wish I could go Wheelin' there with you all... Kind Regards.
  16. Those does look identical to the ones I placed on my Subie, Good Job! Kind Regards.
  17. Just once in a EA82 and once in a J10 Justy (Beside more Non-Subaru cars); maybe because the pretty Bad Roads that we have here, you know... there are Potholes even inside the Potholes in certain areas, and traffic jams in others, so maybe the Brakes shall be used at least 3X more than in USA, I believe... What happened is that when I installed the new Kit for those Master Cylinders, they still loosed pressure, specially under heavy braking... I Agree, Absolutely... Cheapo aftermarket Master Cylinders could be Dangerous, I always suggest to use original Master Cylinders or Repair Kits from the Subaru Dealer. However, I Agree that the Subaru Master Cylinders rarely fail. May I Ask if the Bleeding process was done seeking the Cross Pattern for EA82? ... Because once I fixed a Low Pedal in a EA82 by doing the Cross Pattern bleeding; if it is not done like that, the Brakes could be Low. Kind Regards.
  18. More info about what Car are you writing about is Needed in order to correctly Help you. If you're writing about an Old-School Subaru, EA81 - EA82, no one came without Brake Booster; and I Kindly suggest you to Replace the Whole Master Cylinder instead of changing the internals, because it is made of Aluminium and it wear out along the Rubbers, so Usually they loose the Straightness. The EA82 uses a 15/16" inner bore Master Cylinder. Kind Regards.
  19. Tortoise... Turtle... Tortuga... (French' date=' English, Spanish) ...You mean like This one: From El Salvador, Central America.
  20. Yes, I used RainX on my Wife's car Windshield, years ago, the A/C wasn't workin' and it Helped to keep it Clear on Rainy season.
