  2. Good Luck! ... and Don't forget to Post Photos here. Kind Regards.
  3. You're Welcome! I always thought that the Boxer Rumble Sound coming thru a Single Weber Carb in the Middle, Compared with the Boxer Rumble Sound coming thru Twin Weber Carbs, one on each Head, shall Be like Comparing Mono sound to Stereo sound... isn't it? EA81S = the StereoBoxer! Kind Regards.
  4. The rear Right Side (Driver's side, 'cos it is in New Zealand) has the letters "GALANT" ... So it is a '73 Galant? ... Cool! NZ Currency: 1 New Zealand dollar = 0.8209 U.S. dollars, so 9,000 NZD Equal to 7,405.84 USD Kind Regards.
  5. Thank you for your Kind Answer. My Subaru "BumbleBeast" also has Halogens for the Reverse Lights, but I use the Bulb that you can see in the Following Photo... ...marked as "Halogen" ... it came with the 1156 Base already, and the Box said that it also will melt the Plastic if it is Lit for more than three Minutes. Kind Regards.
  6. Factory Twin Carb Subaru EA Engines were available since the EA62 (1300) engine which came on the Subaru FF-1 "Star" or "G" versions, that engine came with dual carburetors as a factory option for the Sport Package, but the valves and everything else came equal to the Standard version engine. But both the EA71 (1600) and the EA81 (1800) engines that came optionally with Twin Carburators from Factory, and those were defined by a following "S" at the end on their engine codes. This was Subaru's way of calling it the Sports model. The engines were completely differently designed to the standard models. The "S" models had Dual Ports and Opposite Valve configuration, which means different cams and rocker gear. They were available in Japan in the Subaru Leone GSR and in the later first gen Leone RX Models. These engines has Higher Compression Ratio and had ~10% more power output. They were used heavily in the late 70's and early 80's Rally cars. Do you Mean like This? (this is an EA71): I've seen such conversions, even done to EJ engines... ...Usually to be Mounted in VolksWagens... Yes! Yes, it is this: And this are Photos of the Car on the 1983 Safari Rally Race: When Subaru Developed that Head-Mounted Twin downdraft Weber Carb EA81S engine with Reversed Valves, they already had the Turbo EFi Technology; so, very Few of those EA81S with Twin Webers were made, since Subaru started to sell the "Turbo Traction" Models in 1982 in Japan, and in 1983 worldwide... Very Few Twin Weber Carb Models were Available for Sale, mainly in Japan and New Zealand, like This one, which was for sale some months ago: I'll Love to Own one of those Second Gen Leone RX with Twin Weber Carbs! Kind Regards.
  7. Nice Rugged Wagon... but Why the Chevrolet badge? Also, I'll like to Know how you fitted the 9004 Halogen Bulbs onto the Reverse lights... Kind Regards.

  11. You're Welcome! Yes I live in Honduras, the local Lada Dealer (was named: Alvarez-Cross Automotríz) was very successfully selling the 2104, 2105, 2106 and 2107 Fiat-Based models, and the Samara; but the Best Seller was the Niva 4X4... untill the Hurricane Mitch (during year 1998) literally "Erased" the Lada Dealer offices and Storage area, and lot of new, unused Ladas were "swallowed" by the River (The Lada Dealer was Next to a River) so all the Lada Survivors, had to be Modified, usually with Toyota Parts. A friend of mine used to own a 2104 with Toyota engine & transmission, it was called "LaToya" a Mix from Lada & Toyota. Kind Regards.

  13. Your post contains Useful info, Thank you for Sharing. By your Description of the Subaru Options in Iceland, I noticed that we have almost the Same here in Latin America; Turbo Models does not come with Dual Range, and we also have the 1.5L (EJ15) and 1.6L (EJ16) Imprezas, with optional Dual Range. Kind Regards.
  14. Your post contains Useful info, Thank you for Sharing. I Quoted it in post Nº 75 of this Thread: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=101887&page=8 (sorry for Hijack the Thread) Kind Regards.
  15. Nice Video, I like how it Sounds under Hard acceleration. Beside the 75 (or 76) Hp Version of the 1.6L EA71 Engine, that site also doesn't list the Efi EA71 available from up to 1994 in the Loyale Lineup, outside USA in certain areas. Kind Regards.
  16. A Li'l off-Topic, but sharing some info about this: Not exactly 4X140 but looks Close... Even the "REAL" Subaru for Rally does come with a four Lug Setup (The street versions are five lugs) I have some photos: 4X114.3 Closer View: The Reason: Four Lugs are Faster to Change than Five Lugs. Almost nobody noticed that difference between the Rally version and the street version of those cars. Sorry for Hijack the Thread... Kind Regards.
  17. Your Subaru is Really Beautiful... and What you've done to it! I Did not knew about those Rare metal parts for the Roof, that's New for me. Did any EA82 Sedan really came with 5X100 Pattern? Kind Regards.
  18. This one Looks Cool! ... ... I Like it! I Wish I could obtain a pair of Corner Lights like the ones on that Violet Subaru. Kind Regards.
  19. This car is gonna go to a good home, I know... and I Agree that Matt should continue with the Updates! Kind Regards.
