  1. Both are Right ... Very Kindly let me explain: Yes Nissan & Subaru used the Same Manufacturer (Tokiko) but the 200SX and 240 Nissan Caliper aren't a direct fit at all, you need to do some work to let them fit and their e-Brake (Parking Brake) Lever mechanism on the Nissan 200SX Calipers are on the Way of the Subaru's Rear Axles... While the Honda Calipers are made by a different Manufacturer (Nissin) but they are a Direct fit by Luck, and their e-Brake lever mechanism does not be in the way of the Subaru's rear axles; also they let you use the Subaru's brake pads, and their brake pump is the same size than the Subaru's ones, so the Pedal and everything else does work like stock. For those who wanna know more about that, the complete Writeup with photos is ~► Here. Sorry for Hijack the Thread ... ... Kind Regards.
  2. C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S !!! I'm Really Glad to Know That, please Update this thread with the Install info & Pics! Kind Regards.
  3. Well... Shipping from LADM (Latin American Domestic Merket) Will be even Cheaper, I drove some Dual Range Legacies, there are Few with Push Buttons, Recently I drove a 2009 Dual Range Forester here, and we're Extremly Near to USA, but the Problem is to Find the EJ Transmission alone = Mission:Impossible. Here you Must buy the Entire Vehicle. More info ~► Here. Kind Regards.
  4. I'm Glad to Know that the Ski Wagon is Driveable again ... Good Job! Yes, I've seen many Subies with Rear solid Axle Swap here... I even posted a Thread about them in the Old gen Subies forum. My Neighbour used to Own -for years- a 1981 Celica "Supra" which came factory with an in-line 6 Cyl 2.0L engine... Lightweight & Fast. Kind Regards.
  5. Holy Cow... BrainFart! ...again, You're Right: is 4X114.3 I Just Fixed my Posts.
  6. Yes. (maybe not exactly 2" because it depends on the Life and Bright of the Coil Springs too) And also your Subie will need a New Alignment, as 86 Wonder wedge stated up. Kind Regards.
  7. Hi Mark! ... Yes, I'll do that, but let me tell you that if AUSDM received them, I bet those are The Same for the LADM: Subaru offered Dual Ranges Worldwide, except USA due to their Taxations, Legal Regulations and Car Classification (indexation) you know, as I explained in previous posts here... Yes, it is very Good Idea, but let me Tell you that is Much easier to buy the Whole car than Parts from any Subie here: is Extremly Rare to see anyone parting out an old car and Local Junk Yards does not carry Local Car's Parts, only parts that they bring from USA. Thank you! Kind Regards.
  8. Yes, they'll fit but the 4WD Shock Absorbers does have the Base for the Coil Spring, Welded Two inches Above from the position of it on the 2WD. So 4WD Shocks will Lift two inches your Subie. It is Something you must be Aware of, because if you change only the Rears, the front will be sitting 2" lower, and viceversa. More info: ~► Here. Kind Regards.
  9. My Wife's car - the "KiaStein" - has been monitored with a GPS + GSM Vehicle Trackin' & Disablin' Device, Without our permission! ... ... See Photos & Technical Data in the Following Thread: ~► HERE. Kind Regards. ► Edited to update the Link
  10. Nice Subaru Loyale you Have, it look to be in Good Shape. A Li'l off-topic but... About your Subaru Loyale Wagon on a "Capital-One" card: I am surprised that no one commented about that yet, I guess that only age-old USMB Members will remember about the relation between Capital-One and a Subaru Loyale Wagon; I first thought it was a Joke when I first saw that card, but I didn't commented waiting for someone else to do that, but seems like that relation has been Forgotten... Let me Show you: Yes, I really Hated that Capital-One TV ad, they destroy a Nice Subaru Wagon like yours on it. There even are Threads about that: ~► Terrible Capital One Add.... - a post of that thread: ~► Ea82 wagon gets it in credit card commercial - a post of that thread: So, I find that card... "Interesting" ...somehow. Please, don't get me wrong: No offence intended, I only wanted to Bring back and Share some History with you... Kind Regards.
  11. I Had to Edit some of my Older Posts because the New Website's Software doesn't allow me to post more than Ten Photos per post, also my writings shows small letter size while I used a Bigger one, and other Bugs like Photos scrambled as Web Links, etc... I'm tryin' to fix everything ASAP ... I Hope you Understand. Kind Regards.
  12. Thank you for your Kind Words, and Yes, you will do a Great Job too! Kind Regards.
  13. You have described my Weber's Behaviour and I find that very interesting, since my Weber does Not have any Choke, nor the choke's butterflies, hardware, etc... I sent 'em New to another USMB member in Australia. So, I thought that Behaviour was due to No-Choke issue; but Since this thread shows me that it isn't exactly related to the Choke, it worth Share how I deal with that issues: This Simple procedures fixed that problem for me, maybe it will help you: ► When I want to start my "BumbleBeast" on cool mornings (Engine Cold), I let the electric fuel pump to bring enough fuel to the Line by turning the key to "ON" until the fuel pump noise dissapears, then to "OFF" and back to "ON" a couple of times more, then I press the Gas pedal to the Half and release it before Starting the engine: The EA82 starts at once, at Low RPM but I let it idle for half minute, then I accelerate it for another Half minute before driving it. ► When I want to Start my "BumbleBeast" on Hot (normal engine temps), I keep the Gas Pedal pressed 1/4 and the EA82 starts pretty fast. You're Right, if I pump the Pedal or floor it on Hot Starts, it will take many starter turns to start, and the Rest of your description is the same here; so I Kindly suggest you to try those simple procedures to Start your subie, and please let us know if those helped you. Kind Regards.
  14. The Chilean Peso, 1 Chilean peso = 0.002083 U.S. dollars. Look here: ~► http://themoneyconverter.com/USD/CLP.aspx So, 9,690,000.00 CLP = 20,122.50 USD Kind Regards.
  15. Congratulations, that is a Good Lookin' Subie which will be improved by You, a really Nice Project for Diy. I Like the Colour but I don't see it Purple, I see it like Ochre Colour. I have a writeup about that rust in body restoration, maybe you find it Helpful: ~► Here. Kind Regards.
  16. I've been painting with New Anti-Rust Black Paint, certain areas of the Engine bay of my "BumbleBeast" Subaru.
  17. Do you want to Know More about the LADM Specs Subarus with EJ engines that came Factory with Carburetor & Distribuitor? Do a Click on my Avatar and You'll reach my Public profile, where I posted many Downloadable Document Files; Scroll down to Reach the Link for a Compressed .rar File which includes -among more files- the Scans of the 1992 Factory Service Manuals for those, and I found it in english for your easy reading pleasure. (Local FSM's are in Spanish) Kind Regards.
  18. Original Subaru Distribuitors are "Mitsubishi" Brand... as you can see on early posts of this Thread. I know that some people made the EJ engine to Work with Ford Escort Distribuitors.
  19. I Agree, Absolutely. Here came on the Toyota Dealer. About the Turbo, look ~► Here. Kind Regards.
  20. We have those Daihatsu Rocky / Feroza here... but I really like much more the Subaru Hatchback! ... Nice Find and Great restoration Project! Kind Regards.
  21. Thank you for your kind answer... I believe it is smart to buy a whole car for parts, it is easier than search each part individually. Kind Regards.
  22. Unless you see the World like the Australians: ... ... upside Down!
  23. The car seems to be in Good conditions to be a Good restoration project. (But is hard to tell by a single photo) I want to ask you very kindly: Why don't you restore it? ... too many Soobs? Kind Regards.
