  3. Yes, I Agree! I Had the Same Problem in my Lifted "BumbleBeast" Subaru, due to Age / Rude Use \ Worn calipers; my solutions (yes, two) were: ♪ To Delete the Front e-Brake system from the front EA82 Calipers and let them be "Standard" as you can read ~► Here. ♫ To Swap Rear Disc Brakes plus Retrofit a Good & Strong Rear e-Brake System, as you can read ~► Here. Forget about Nissan rear calipers... I found a much better & stronger option, just read the info followin' the above-posted Links. Kind Regards.
  4. But you Dropped the Crossmember, isn't it? ... How much? I bet that you're using Cheap Axles / Remanufactured Axles \ low Quality Grease. I've read here that the Best Axles you can use are Original Subaru ones, then E.M.P.I brand. Could you post more info about the Axles / Grease you're using? You'll find Axle advice ~► Here. Kind Regards.
  5. A couple of web links : ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=50400 ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=118838&highlight=legacy+brakes I Hope you'll find those Useful. Kind Regards.
  6. After I installed the New Custom Grille I made, I took my Family to a Local Restaurant, here is a Photo of the "BumbleBeast" there, featuring the New Grille... ...which Matches the "interFooler" Hood Scoop Design I made.
  7. Then back at Home, I prepared, cleansed and retouched some... ...areas behind the front Grille with Black Rustoleum Anti-Rust paint.
  8. Prior to install the New "Version 2.0" Custom Grille I made, I went to one local Hardware store to buy some... ...Rustoleum Black paint, sandpaper and Maskin' Tape, and I noticed that my "BumbleBeast" now has more Ground Clearance than some LandCruisers!
  9. Also I Like those corner lights... Clearance Lamps? ...those have many names; in Honduras we say (in Spanish) "Luces de Cortesía" which means Courtesy Lights. The Power Steering Reservoir tank looks... ...Very Good in New Ford Grey Colour, it Shines like a Plastic paint. Good Job!.
  10. Well, yes but I'll change the word "Clean" with "Proper" oil. Have you seen this Thread about Motor Oils? : ~► Here. I've opened for service many engines, and some motor oils does more Gum & Varnish buildup than others; even being the same weight, number and APi class. I've used MOTUL Motor oils for many years and that oil keep cleaner the internals somehow; I don't know how much will cost a gallon of Motul oil in the USA but here that brand has strong market precense (You can see that they even are Sponsors of many Local Motor Shows ~► Here) and isn't very expensive. Kind Regards.
  11. That Link Worked for Me ... ... Thank You! The info about my Wife's car is complete, it even includes the date and departure port when it was shipped to my Li'l country... Now I know it was running in three different States of the USA before coming here; and there wasn't any accident reported, only an insurance lost. But there's no record about my Subaru "BumbleBeast" ... it came brand new from the Dealer in USA to my Li'l Country in 1985, so the only info the site has for my Subie is the Make / Model \ year and place of building. Kind Regards.
  12. My wife's car came from USA, it was registered there its first ten years and Yes, I Followed the directions... ...exactly what I've imagined, seems like it isn't working anymore.
  13. That beautiful animal in your Hand does look like a mini Dinosaur! ... I Like it! Yes, we experienced that in Latin America... my Li'l Country has Geckos everywhere, and there are many Hippopotamus in Colombia! ... ... More info: ~► http://www.wildlifeextra.com/go/news/colombia-hippos.html#cr ~► http://www.willmore.net/hippos_invade_Colombia.htm Kind Regards.
  14. AutoCheck has 27 reports for my Wife's car while Carfax only list 23, but both sites asks a Payment to Show the Reports... Does anyone knows how to read 'em? Kind Regards.
  15. Yes... I think so... What is the Meanin' of NOS? ... Aftermarket parts? ... I'll Like to see the Link. Yes, of course! Let me know if you want to trade the second set, if you find the other one. King Springs are Special aftermarket coil springs to lift Subarus, those are made in Australia... but the Photos on those e-Bay links does Not belong to the King Springs, and the seller confirms that: it says "Generic Photo". More info in this threads: ~► http://ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=136395 ~► http://ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=123205&page=7 Kind Regards.
  16. Yes, it was! Yes, of course; it was GLASURIT brand, I painted both my 2.7 Subaru and my "BumbleBeast" Subaru with those polyurethane paints with awesome success, I use Highly pressurized Sagola air guns, it dries quick and believe me: People ALWAYS ask me if I just painted the car (every time I wash clean it) and the Yellow Paint in my "BumbleBeast" has more than four years so far... it still Shines like New. We have warm climate here, but very rainy sometimes... and as long as Water doesn't come in contact with the painted surfaces, it will hold Strong. Look Here for GLASURIT Paints: ~► http://www.basfpaintnews.com/paints/glasurit/ ~► http://www.glasurit.com/languages and about Sagola Paint guns: ~► http://www.sagola.com/?lang=en Those are the "Perfect Combo" Kind Regards.
  17. Great! ... ... I'm Glad to know that you finally got 'em! Kind Regards.
  18. Now I understand your question, sorry... sometimes I'm Lost on Translation. I've painted many times and I Kindly suggest to use Polyurethane paint; beside the amazing Long Lasting finish, it dries much faster. Kind Regards.
  19. As far as I know, those are made with a rustproof material, to maintain clean the ATF oil, maybe the oil itself keeps clean the interior, and the exterior didn't rust here due to our warm climates and no snow nor road salt. If it isn't surface rust, you should paint it but the paint might require some kind of primer coat to grant the proper adhesion of the paint. Kind Regards.
  20. Are you sure that is really rusted? ... because it could be accumulated oil and paint dirt, something superficial.
  21. I Believe that we need more info about which kind of paint and the amount of solvents, etc... you are planning to use, in order to better help you. Kind Regards.
