  1. Why don't you obtain another intake manifold, with the smaller hole, thread it, and plug it with an inox screw with loctite? The problem is that the intake manifold also is a coolant passage between both heads; I don't know how safe it could be to close such a wider hole, without interrupting the normal coolant flow between heads... Kind Regards.
  2. I must confess that I've never seen a tool like that, which would be Awesome to have, especially for certain jobs, you know... I found it for sale, here: ~► http://www.championaerospace.com/products/champion-tools/plug-master-ratchet-wrench-formerly-ct-405 ~► https://www.ebay.com/i/222659423371?rt=nc Kind Regards.
  3. Thank you for your kind words; also I have been in "offline mode" lately. (Update: for those who might wonder why, please Read: ~► Here) I am really glad to know that MilesFox and You are working Together. It would be awesome to be with you there, guys. Kind Regards.
  4. And I twisted the metal base on the fender, where the plastic tab was Lost, in order to let it hold the bar in place; and I added a piece of hose to the bar, to avoid vibrations that might cause more annoying sounds...
  5. What I did, was to drill a ⅛" hole on the bar's base, and pass-thru said hole, a screw, which was placed from the inner side of the fender, in order to hold the bar firmly, in place. The screw was twisted with my pliers, after placing it, to avoid it from slipping out.
  6. Some time ago, the bar that serves to hold open up the engine bay cover, got loose and came out from its plastic base holder; also it lost the plastic that held the bar itself when it is not in use, over the fender.
  7. Simply I changed the worn out main pulley, with this brand new one, along the four bolts which holds it to the Sprocket for the timing belt, at the crankshaft; and the annoying screech noise, went away... and has been like that since a couple of months ago. Kind Regards.
  8. Here you can see the infamous -but needed- Rubber isolation: Got it?
  9. So, I obtained a brand new main Pulley. Image with part number found online: Here is it, as it came from the Local Kia Dealer:
  10. But sadly, changin' the Belts, did Not fixed the noise, as it came back the next day after the change; so I investigated further regarding these Serpentine belts' arrangement, and I found that these systems, could generate certain amount of electricity, as a "Van der Graaf" generator, (Click ~► Here for further info on the subject); and since that electricity generation is harmful for the ECU, TCU, etc on the car, the engineers decided to put a rubber isolation on the Main Pulley, in order to prevent that the belts, could transmit the generated voltage, to the cars' system. The noise was coming from the Rubber isolation, between the two metal parts on the Pulley. The reason is that rubber shrinks with age and exposure to heat; so said rubber was emiting that annoying screech noise, mainly when the system were under load, such like using the A/C.
  11. Some months ago, our "KiaStein" started to have belts' squealing noise, like if one of the two belts were slipping, increasing a lot if we used the A/C; so I thought it was time for new Belts; after all, those were changed only once, more than five years ago. For those who wonder, these are the numbers for the two belts on the second gen Sephia / first gen Spectra with the T8D (1.8L) engine, that has power steering & Air Conditioner: I obtained these New, in "Gates" brand.
  12. This thread is an index to my main write-ups, you can see it from the first page; almost every modification done to my Subaru "BumbleBeast" during all these more than three decades of continuos ownership, has been registered with photos and then, I explained them in individual write-ups, here in USMB. Despite that you can bypass the photos display ban from photobucket, using a especial extension in certain web browsers, such like Google's Chrome... ~► https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/photobucket-embed-fix/naolkcpnnlofnnghnmfegnfnflicjjgj ...Sooner or later, the photos might simply disappear; so I have been working in "Offline" versions of my main Write-ups, which I want to share here, with you. Feel free to Download this compressed .rar file, which contains a collection of my main writeups, each one has up-to-date information as they has been carefully edited and updated by me; hoping that the ideas I share, could continue being helpful, for more people. Once downloaded on your computer, extract the folder from the .rar file using WinRar, read and enjoy! Finally, if you find useful information on my write-up collection, please let me Know by hitting the "Like" Button. I ask this as motivation only, to keep sharing my works with you. Greetings from the Caribbean, Honduras.
  13. Appreciated Fellows, I've been a Photobucket user since year 2003; up to date I have almost ten Thousand of carefully edited photos uploaded there, and arranged in Albums and Sub-Albums according the Subject. I shared all those photos in the various web forums on which I am part, since years ago... After the first decade, Photobucket limited their bandwidth and started to ask almost $ 30.ºº US dollars yearly, in order to allow the photos to be displayed online. Despite of many personal problems like being jobless after fourteen years of hard working at the same enterprise, etc… I paid their annual fee, in order to let my many photos, to continue helping people worldwide, on my write-ups and posts. However, after some years paying their regular fee, Photobucket is now asking and increased fee, of $ 400.ºº US dollars, which is absolutely unpayable for me. Remember that I live in Honduras, on the Caribbean—Central America area of the world, where paying in US Dollars, results way much more expensive for us. Long story short: since my photos will fade away from internet, due to the insatiable money hunger of Photobucket, my motivation to continue sharing my ideas online is also fading away, because my many Write-ups and thousands of posts in different web forums online, will become useless without the photos. That made me feel depressed, you understand… Here you can read further information regarding the Subject: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/139920-photobucket-sucks-a-rant-about-picture-hosting-woes/ ~► http://www.kia-forums.com/off-topic-lounge/148834-photobucket-sucks-rant-about-picture-hosting.html

  18. Some time ago, I was watching the 1991 movie "Only Yesterday" from the Japanese "Studio Gibli" and it features some nicely detailed old-school Subarus, and even a Subaru Dealer... But the main one is a well detailed Subaru R2 So I made this photo collage with screenshots from that movie. Kind Regards.
  19. Awesome! I have a question regarding the Wheels, other imprezas from competitions, features a four lug setup for the wheels, unlike the civil versions; and this one has five... not all the people has noticed that. This one came like this? Kind Regards.
