Problem. With loyale
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to Craigsti's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
So it is not Timing Belt and if it is Getting fuel, the Fuel pump is not causing the problem. Are you Sure it is getting Spark? My Subaru "BumbleBeast" EA82 has the Same problem and the Culprit was the Ignition Module, inside the Distribuitor, even if you change the Disty, both could be bad too... You can read about that, ~► Here. How to Test an Ignition Module? ... Easy Procedure explained, ~► Here. Also: a failing Fusible Link could cause that, Have you Checked those? Good Luck! Kind Regards. -

Yes, I Know. The Interior pics of your Safariwagon... ...Looks Nice with the Black paint, Good Idea! My Subies came with the Dark Blue / Light Blue interiors: So they has Contrast, but I Wish I had the Brown interior... Brown combines better with the Yellow Exterior. Kind Regards.

Weber Fuel Economy Question
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to benjamachine's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Nope, it should work OK, just be Sure to plug the vacuum advance to the right port on the Disty and on the Carb. Nope, if you close it, the Fuel tank's & Lines pressure goes Up to a Dangerous levels... I did that mistake and every time I went to the gas station, I had a lot of pressure coming out from the Gas Tank when I opened it to pour more gas... I only placed a Small air filter in the vent line and let the other side open, routing it down, aside the Brake booster... no gasoline odors at all. That is not "Normal" somehow... Let me tell you that the Main jets on the EA82 Weber kit I had, came stock with both Primary and Secondary at 140. Ignition Timing does a Very much Noticeable Difference, let me Explain: Even if the Subaru's sticker under the Hood says to place the Ignition Timing for a Carbureted EA82's at 8º (+/- 2º) ... with the Weber, the Best performance is Gained placing the Ignition Timing at 20º like the Fuel Injected EA82's. I Kindly Suggest you to Try advance the Timing up to 20º with Premium Gas and let us Know if there is a Difference. Kind Regards. -

Good BRZ Review
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to Mugs's topic in BRZ and its Sister the Scion FRS/Toyota GT86
I Really Think exactly in this Way: So I Agree, Absolutely. Also about the "Beta Testing" GD is Right! ... I Never Buy the First Gen of Nothing, which includes Electronic Devices, etc. B is for Boxer, R is for Rear-wheel drive, Z is for Zenith, as in the best... The Subaru BRZ has a New Engine, The engine is an all-new design called the FA, with a perfectly square stroke of 86x86 and a variable-valve control system that Subaru calls AVCS, for active valve control system. The FA was developed for and only used in this car, "at least for the time being." On the required premium gas, Subaru's numbers are 200 horsepower and 150 pound-feet, with reps at a loss to explain why Toyota rates the same engine –that Subaru builds– at 197 horsepower. The FA is smaller than the Impreza's FB engine, achieved with items such as a shorter and lower intake manifold. Some Pictures to Share: ... Prtty Nice, isn't it? ... -
That was the Reason to do an Rear e-Brake Retrofit: I Had to Got Rid of the Front e-Brake system on my Subie. The Solenoids and Controls you Describe is Good Idea to Prevent the Wheels from Spin Free in 4X4 Rude use in hard Conditions, so you can Manually "Transfer" power to the ones that needs it. Look on the Older posts of this same Thread for more information that has been already posted on that subject. Kind Regards.
