  1. No, it must be the Other one on the Other side, let me Explain: My Wagons are Left Hand Drive, so the A/C Line is Behind the Left Headlamp (Passenger's side here in America, Looking from the Front of the Car) on them, but here goes a Hint: The Pressure Switches are in the Line that Goes to the A/C Filter, that must be the Other Line. (there are Two Lines, one is Low Pressure and the other one is High Pressure) Look for the A/C Filter: its Shaped like a Dark Bottle with a Hole in the Top, which really is a "Glass "Window" that allows to watch for Bubbles on the A/C Gas + Oil Mixture. Have you already checked for a Loose Thermoswitch wires Connector? ... Because it could be the Culprit too, as I Explained above. Kind Regards.
  2. Thank you! ... I'm Glad that you Liked my BumbleBeast Good Luck! Kind Regards.
  3. But do you found the Line, isn't it? ... Just follow it 'till you find those Pressure Switches, Both looks like Temp sending Solenoids. ALSO: if the Thermoswitch's line is disconnected and the Plug touches bare Metal, the Fan will stay on with ignition too. The Thermoswitch is the one attached to the Radiator, it could have two different connection Designs: Twin Spades on the Thermoswitch itself or a Pig tail wire with connector on the End. Look ~► Here for Mo' info. Kind Regards.
  4. You didn't specify if that Rear Disc brake Setup that your Brat has, came from the XT6 or the Legacy, because the Above posted information is aplicable to the GL10 / XT Turbo EA82 Rear Discs, which are the ones I have. I don't know if the Legacy / XT6 Rear Discs uses the same Calipers... I don't think so. Kind Regards.
  5. Somehow I am in the Same boat, Lookin' for Rear e-Brake conversion too... As far as I Know, the Nissan 240SX (a.k.a: Nissan Silvia) Rear disc Calipers fits better than the 200SX ones on the Subie's Rear discs, 'cos in the 4WD subies, the 200SX ones had a Problem with their e-Brake arm: it will hit the CV joint's base, but the 240SX ones Won't. Kind Regards.
  6. Nope, since they were Moved from the Hosting Server... Try to Contact Him Directly, maybe he will re-Upload 'em: http://david.thurstenson.com/ Kind Regards.
  7. I mean the Piping (Line) that Goes and Comes from the Condenser with the A/C R-12 Gas Pressure... Look Behind the Headlamp, a Little bit down; you'll Notice two Pressure Switches in that Line, The Big one is to avoid the A/C Compressor to Spin on Low Gas Pressure, and the Smaller one is to turn on / off the A/C Fan on EARLY EA82 models only. Newer EA82's has the A/C Fan activated by the Relays that are under the Windshield's base at the Engine Bay... in Fact: Subaru sold a Rewiring kit (a couple of Male / Female connectors to place between the Stock Relays and the Stock Plugs) to make the Earlier (1985 / 1986) EA82 Models to activate the A/C Fan with the Relay Signal, Bypassing that in-line Pressure Switch. Kind Regards.
  8. Well... I Didn't mean it won't Work. The Swap Could Work and if the Mounting points on the Body of the Subaru models with Air Suspension are the Same and in the same placement as the Standard suspension models, it could be Easy to do. I've never worked on a Subaru with Air Suspension, there are Few of them here. Kind Regards.
  9. There is a Small Pressure Switch (aside a Bigger one) on the A/C Line, if it has one (or Both) Connectors Loose or Disconnected, it will act just like you Described. So, I Kindly suggest you to check all those electrical connections on the A/C Line and Fix them in Place if one (or More) became loose; then try the Ignition Switch again. Kind Regards.
  10. I Asked him the Same, he told me: "in my House... I haven't had time to Figure out how to put it there, yet..."
  11. ►The "Three Five (555)" Brand is a Japanese Brand made by SANKEI INDUSTRY CO. LTD.; JAPAN; is Well-Known here and has Good Reputation, but recently Chinese imitations started to appear on our Market, so the Original Three Five (555) Brand has Holograms on their Sealed Bags with the Parts inside. http://www.sankei-555.co.jp/ ►The "3F" Brand is Cheaper, Made in Hong Kong Auto Parts. http://www.3f-automobile.com/Html/Main.asp ►MOOG is almost Unknown here, in my Country. http://www.moog-suspension-parts.com/ But This: Explains why you've Received two different Brands inside MOOG Boxes; isn't it?
  12. It is Behind the Engine, in the Bellhousing; you'll see a Little Rubber cover in its upper part, just remove the Spare Wheel and you'll see it. Have you Tried to use a Lockin' Washer there? Kind Regards.
  13. Answering your P.M: My Writeup about Suspension improvements (it is, ~► Here) Was mainly intended to Reinforce the Coil Springs & Shock Absorbers on a Standard Suspension Subie, so I Don't know how Hard or Easy could be to install those Parts on a Subie equiped with Air Suspension. My Idea was to Improve the Stock Subaru GL / DL \ Loyale Suspension with the Purpose to be used in Rough conditions, like Off-Roading, or to handle better the Loads... That Swap Lifts the Suspension a bit in the Front and More in the Rear, which adds Stress to the Axles, Specially the Rear ones; which means that the Axles will work in certain Angle and that leads to wear them faster. The 2WD Subies (the one without Rear Diff & Axles) won't suffer from that Stress in the Rear and the Front lift is Minimum. Also the Feeling comparing a Stock Suspension Subaru Vs. the Swapped one with the Parts listed on the above linked Writeup, is the same like Comparing a Stock family sedan Vs the Police Version of the Same Model: Harder & Firmer Suspension but Better Handling. I Really cannot be sure how that Swap will Work on an Air Suspension Subie. Kind Regards.
  14. The Lack of a Good Subaru Dealer here in my Country, force the Owners to be Creative... He told me that the Previous Owner Never found the Needed Parts to Rebuild the Original EA71 engine. Now take a look at this first gen Brat: Another owner in pretty Similar Situation. Kind Regards.
  15. The Engine is Toyota 4A, Fits perfectly but he had to Modify the Engine crossmember by doing an Hybrid mix using the Original Subaru one on each side end and the Toyota one in the Middle. A Funny detail is that the car Still has its Front Subaru e-Brake working and now also has the Corolla's Rear e-Brake feature on the Rear Drums... but it has not attached the Rear Cables... Doing a Four Wheel e-Brake will need a Custom Handle or Twin Handles, each one with its own Cables... Believe it or Not, the Car is Fast, maybe because it Still has the Original Toyota Engine + Trans + Rear Diff and 13" Wheels, so Relations are under the Corolla's Specs; the Difference should be the Overall Weight.
  16. Now is Pictures Time! The First three ones are the Older ones already Posted, I Repost 'em here to give the Complete Idea. This is How I Saw the RWD Subaru DL Wagon: a Close Looking on the Same Picture: Another Picture: These are the New Pictures, the Guy was very Kind and let me Take some Pictures of his RWD Subie on the Shoppin' Mall's Parking Lot: The Corolla's Shock Absorbers were too Short for the Subie, so he Welded the Bar from the Original Subaru Shock Absorbers to them, so they Reach the upper attaching point: What is the "Feeling" you have seeing an in-Line 4 Cyl engine on a Subie's engine bay? He had to be Creative to place the Clutch's Main Pump, 'cos it is Hydraulic on that Toyotas. So the Brake Master Pump had to be Mounted on an Extension Pipe that he Welded to make Space enough for the Clutch's Pump. He Used a 1999 Honda Civic Master Brake Pump: (Master Cylinder) Also, this Subaru Doesn't Run on Gasoline... it Runs on LPG! Look on the inner side of the Fender: And the Shifting Stick ended some inches moved to the Front:
  17. So, that Subaru has the Rear Solid axle / Diff, Leaf Springs, Rear Drum Brakes, rear Shock absorbers, Transmission and Engine from Toyota! Pictures in the Following Post. ~► I'm Uploadin' them to Photobucket right now.
  18. I'll do an abridgement of the Very Long Story: The Taxi Driver is the Owner and Modifier of that Subaru. The Subaru started its life as a 1985 Station Wagon DL 1.6L (EA71 - We had more engine choices in Latin America) Front Wheel Drive (2WD) Manual Trans, which worked fine untill the Rear main seal (crank) failed and that problem with time leaded to a complete engine failure. The Actual owner had a 1982 Toyota Corolla RWD Wagon with the Taxi Number, which was totaled in a huge fat crash, So He purchased the Subaru with the Blown Engine and started to Swap the entire Corolla's Drive train to that Subaru.
  19. Well... here will come your Answers. As I Promised: Let me tell you that During my Gout Foot attack (More info ~► Here) I drove my Wife's Car, the "KiaStein" (which is Automatic) instead of my "BumbleBeast" to complete some of my Job's errands; During one of those, I went to a Huge Shoppin' Mall and Guess what I've found there! ... ... The RWD Subaru Taxi from the Above posted Photos. The Driver was Leaving some Passengers there and I Kindly asked him about the Rear Wheel Drive Conversion, and so the Long Conversation Started ... ...
  20. I Believe that your Brat Looks Beautiful with those Leather Seats, Good Score! That is Because Daewoo became Chevrolet ... we have Plenty of those Korean Chevrolets here in Latin America. http://www.autoblog.com/2011/01/20/officially-official-chevrolet-replaces-daewoo-name-in-korea/ Kind Regards.
  21. You're Welcome! ... ... I'm Glad to Know that your Subie will Work great Soon, have you obtained the New Fuel Pump? Kind Regards.
  22. As Far as I Remember, I Read first about RetroRoo on Shawnw's Linkedin Profile, some time ago. Kind Regards.
