  4. Fusible Links! Worn and / or Rusted Contacts on the Fusible Links could Cause That Behaviour. Also Bad Starter Motor with Worn Carbon Contacts. I Kindly Suggest you to Start by Checkin' Carefully those Fusible Links. Kind Regards.
  5. I Just came across this LADM (Latin American Domestic Market) Subaru Legacy. It has a Factory Carb & Disty EJ18 Engine, but this one also has a Turbo! The Owner, who Lives in Argentina; Restored it. He Started by Removing the Engine for a Complete Reseal: I Really Like how that Engine Looks: Then, he Prepared & Painted the Body: Finally, Reinstalled the Renewed Engine: And here is the Final Look: More info, ~► Here.   6. The Timin' Belt Fail could be due to a Worn or Stuck Tensioner, so I Kindly suggest you to Check 'em Carefully Before installing New Belts there. Kind Regards.

  13. I've Noticed something interesting... I Measured the 205/60 R 15" Tires on my BumbleBeast and they are 25" and I Found that with those, my BumbleBeast performs Very Well On-Road and Off-Road. The Steering became noticeable Softer ... ... it was Harder, Before the SJR 2" Lift kit install, when my subie Rode on Fat 13" Tires. Also the Weberized EA82 sometimes asks for downshifting from 3rd to 2nd Speeds when I Drive Uphill on our Steep roads, but the 2nd Speed really Feels more "Powerful" (torquier) and faster than before. So, Since I Drive 60% on Road on City Streets & Highways (is my Daily Driver) and 40% off-Roading on Weekends... Seems like those 25" Tires are the Best Option for such usage. So I Decided to Keep 'em 'till they run Bald! Kind Regards.

But Let me Tell you that I Believe that the Engine you want to Put on your Subie, is very Tall and maybe Large for the Engine's Bay. Kind Regards.

  16. Sounds to me like the turn Signal Shifter is Loose, also the contacts... you must remove the Cover from the Steering column to verify the Connections and re-tighten the Screws. Also check for proper Grounding, maybe that connection is Loose or the Bolt where is placed is rusted, preventing the Good connection. Good Luck! Kind Regards.
  17. That is the one I mentioned as the "A/C Vacuum", because beside the Idle actuator, it makes to work the Button Controls of the A/C on the Dash: Those are Vacuum operated. Kind Regards.

Close all the Vacuum ports on the intake Manyfold and the ones on the Weber itself, then plug just the Following ones: - The Vacuum advance must be Plugged from the Weber's front (the one to the Right side) to the Distribuitor's advance port. - A/C Vacuum Signal goes to the intake Manyfold. - Brake Booster Vacuum to the intake too. That's all the "Needed" Vacuums, others must be closed. More information: Click on my Avatar to Reach a List of my Writeups and I Kindly suggest you to review the one about the Weber Swap, it is Plenty of Pictures and Guided explanations. Also you might consider two Things more: - That your Weber carb could have a Vacuum Leak... so I Kindly suggest you to check all around for Vacuum Leaks sprayin' Carb cleaner and watch for any RPM's change. - The Accelerator Cable could be too tight.   19. That is Good Advice, I Use one on each car since Years ago, with Great Results. Oh, Now I Understand better the Situation... So the Car Didn't move by itself at all. Couldn't it be some kind of Joke from a Prankster friend of yours? Kind Regards.
  20. The FWD 5MT models came with Gear relations so High that their RPM's will drop very low on Higher Gears... My EA82 BumbleBeast is like That, 5MT FWD and it has a 32/36 Weber Carb and Free Flow 2" Exhaust pipe with No Cat nor "Y" pipe Filter and the Silencer is just an Empty Box filled with Sound Supressant Fiberglass. Runnin' on 205/60 R15 Tires makes it to made around 35 Mpg average of Mixed Driving but if I only Drive it on Highways, at cruise Speed in Fifth Gear, the RPM's drop and it makes more than 40 Mpg... if I Drive it alone. But if I drive it Loaded (Five persons in total, plus luggage) it will reduce the Mpg's to 28, Specially due to our Steep hills and the Fact that I Need to Downshift, even to Second Gear, very Frequently.
