  1. Found online a Couple of A/C Hitachi Compressors, Both Remanufactured: http://www.tomsforeign.com/p-20509-ac-compressor-subaru-loyale-85-86-87-88-89-90.aspx a Close View of its Part Number: But it seems to be Known as Part Nº 682-58245 I'll continue Searching for a Suitable Replacement from other car Brand or for its Rebuild Kit, 'cos its almost impossible to find here the Original Part. Kind Regards.
  2. Agreed, Silicone for Maintenance, but I Suggested Those Oils 'cos I Believe the Mechanism could be Stuck Somehow and those could aid to Free it. Kind Regards.
  3. This is Good Idea to Try that, Specially if the Steerin' Lock got Stall. Also I Kindly Suggest to Spray some Lubricant inside that ignition Switch, Such as WD-40 or PB Blaster; it could help to Free a Stuck Mechanism. Good Luck, Kind Regards.
  4. Thank you Eulogious for your Kind Reply! That's a Good Question, I'll take all its Numbers tonight and post 'em here, maybe someone can help me doing the... Good Idea. Well, I have a Mailbox in Miami, Florida (USA) there's an international Mail Shipping company named "G-Box" from "Gutierrez Logistics" that gives to anyone who needs, their address in Miami and you only add your Name to it, No monthly nor yearly payments, you just pay the Fees and Shipping Costs to their Honduras Office from miami for anything that reaches onto your Mailbox. That's How I Received my Weber Carb, my Special H.I.D. Kit, etc... So the USA Shipping will be only to Miami, and I Pay here the Shipping Cost from Miami to Honduras when I Pick up the Packages. That way Becomes Cheaper than a Direct international Shipping. I'll Do that, Thanks! Nope, yours got the Rare Setup, which have the Panasonic / Matsush¡ta (or Wynn) Brands A/C Compressor at the Right end of the Belts. This is my more Common Setup, which have the Hitachi Brand Compressor Between the Alternator and the Power Steering Pump: That Won't work, because the Problem with my Setup is that the Alternator is Held by the A/C Compressor Bracket. But Thank you, I Really appreciate your offer, You're So Kind! For Now, I Believe that maybe the Route I'll Take to Solve this Problem could be to Ask to a Store online to Send me Not a Complete Compressor but the Rebuild Kit for it... Any information about those Hitachi compressors Rebuild Kit, or about another Compressor which can Work fine in my Wagon, will be more than Welcome. Kind Regards.
  5. Welcome! I Agree, I Did the Weber Swap some Years ago and I purchased my K-731 Kit from Redline Weber online, it came with no Problem to Honduras, Costa Rica is Nearby. I Kindly suggest you to see the Writeup I Did about the Weber Carb Swap on the Subaru EA82 engine. Here: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=74206 and as Spenser said: Avoid Turbos and Automatics, Specially with the 3EAT Transmission (The 4EAT is Better but Scarse) Kind Regards.
  6. More background info needed: Does the Key Turns the ignition Switch or is that Switch Stuck? or it turns and anything happens? if the ignition Switch turns and does Nothing, I Kindly Suggest to Check the Fusible Links. Kind Regards.
  7. At a Junk Yard, and I Believe that connector came in other Places, not only at the Fuel Pump. I can Suggest that if you couldn't find it, you can Change Both Connectors, Male & Female to a Brand new Ones... I've done that by cut and Soldering the Old Wires to the ones on the New Connector, using a Soldering Gun; is easy but you Must be Careful to Work around the Fuel Tank with a Soldering Gun. Kind Regards.
  8. This will be Better Posting on the "Subaru Stuff Wanted" Section. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=37 Kind Regards.
  9. Cool Wagon Tom, I Like it. Those Huge Wagons are Very Common here, in my Crazy Country; but... ...Yes, Turbo Diesels... Gasoline ones are Really Hard to Find here; The New 'yotas Diesels got Hydro Lifters, so No Valve adjust anymore. (Toyota is the Nº1 Car Brand selling here... I wanna see the Face of those Toyota Mechanics when they receive the First BRZ Coupe rebaged as Toyota while Looking to a Horizontally-Opposed engine that says: Subaru. ) Also Automatics are Really Hard to Find, except on the Smaller Model Named "Land Criser Prado" and the Luxury "Lexus" Versions. Kind Regards.
  10. Thanks for the Replies. The Freon R12 is Plenty available here in my Country, so I Believe I'll Stay with that. Now the Problem is the Compressor unit itself... it sounds really bad and the Rebuild kit isn't available. A salesman at one large A/C Store here told me that they are able to Bring a Rebuild kit for that Hitachi compressor, but it will cost Much more than to Purchase a New one! Our Local Junk Yards (Called here: Yonkers) Doesn't have many Subarus and the Few they Bring, are New Gen only... (They bring all their Cars & Parts from U.S.A.) ...so there's no Chance to Find a Good Workin' one around. Plese, Could you Tell me if there's any "Direct" Swap Compressor? I Mean, if any Nissan -or other brand- came with the same Compressor (I Wrote Nissan due to the Subaru Partnership in the 80's) that I can Just Swap and will Work the Same... ...Or if is there any Known A/C compressor that Will work fine with the EA82 setup? Thank you for your Help. Kind Regards
  11. Holy Cow! Why? ... Broken Timin' Belts? Do you wanna buy it? ... seems to be a Fun restoration Project.
  12. Sounds Like one of those belts is one or two teeth off...
  13. It is Done! I Successfully retrofitted an Awesome Rear e-Brake (Parking Brake) system fom another non-Subaru car, with Awesome Results, you can see the Writeup on the Subject, plenty of Guides & Photos, following the web link below: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/129779-the-definitive-rear-e-brake-retrofit-solution/ Kind Regards.
  14. Everything was Solved! Thanks to God. Not only the Timing belts' Problem plus running them Coverless, as you can read in the previous posts above, but also I finally Solved the Front e-Brake Problem that I Mentioned at the First Posts of this Thread, and since every solution deserved its own Thread, please Look here for the Solution to the e-Brake (parking Brake) Problem: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/98476-help-please-direct-front-brakes-swap/ Also I Did reinstalled the P.C.V. system in the proper way, (I Disabled it for a While as you can read on Posts 25, 26... of this thread), for more information and photos, please see this thread: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/114260-oil-catch-can-in-ea82/page-2 And Finally, let me tell you that I am running my EA82 engine, without the timing belts' covers, since I installed them in 2009, as you can read in the Post Nº 36 of this mere thread, however, I started another thread only for sharing experiences regarding running Coverless belts on these engines, and How to properly set the Timing, without having the mark that were on the back covers. The thread regarding Coverless Timing Belts, is here: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/123470-timin-belt-covers/ Kind Regards. ► Edited to fix the Web Links, due to the new USMB system, .....for further information, follow the web links above. THREAD CLOSED!
  15. Remember that the Original Subaru Gasoline Filters are designed to be used on 5/16" Hoses, not all "universal" ones measures that, they usually are for 1/4" hoses.
  16. This is How I Placed the Oil Catch Can on my Subaru "BumbleBeast" Driver's side to the P.C.V. Valve and smaller Detour to Air Filter: Passenger's side Hose, directly from the Head to the Air Filter Box: I Hope this could be Useful. Kind Regards.
  17. On the Picture's Left you can see the 3/8" Fittings that came with it; the ones at the Picture's Right side are the 5/8" ones I Made, Using Brass Couplers. (Those also are shown on the above picture too)
  18. Here you can see Both Together: The Upper one in the Picture (Roundy) with 3/8" Threaded Holes, is the one I Sold new, unused. The other one (Squared) is the one with the 5/8" Threaded Holes; that last one is already on my EA82 Wagon:
  19. Well... also I Hate to not obtain the Parts that are Advertised... and you paid for. Now Think about that happening... Twice!!! Let me Explain: First, as Suggested, I tried to obtain 5/8" Fittings for the First (Roundy) oil Catch can that came with the 3/8" ones... but the Tiny 3/8" threaded holes on that where too restrictive for a Proper Flow, so I ended Selling that 3/8" Oil catch can and Purchased another one ~► Here, this time I Double Checked that it Really said 5/8" Fittings. The New (Squared) Oil Catch can Came, Built in Thick Aluminium and it has the Right 5/8" Threaded Holes... but Again, it also came with 3/8" Fittings! Could you Believe That? ... Maybe Lightning Strikes Twice! (as Iron Maiden Said) But this time I was Lucky, because since the New Catch can came with 5/8" Threaded Holes, I was Able to obtain both 5/8" fittings using Brass couplers; the new catch can isn't restrictive at all, maybe because is Huge and surprisingly Heavy weighted to be made of aluminium... I believe the builders exagerated using such thick aluminium there! ... it must be Renamed as: Oil Catch Tank. Kind Regards.
  20. Cool Project! Some time ago, I saw this one on internet: Kind Regards.
  21. I Replaced the Bolts on my EA82 intake Manifold, using this ones I Found on Napa: They have the 1.25 Pitch number printed in the Box. Kind Regards.
  22. Nice, it Looks like New! if you Really Wait to the EA82 to Die Before you Throw there a EJ22, then you'll Wait for Many Years to Come... I Never Knew about a "Subaru University" Passport, Could you tell us More about That? 14" Wheels 4X140 only came Stock on very Few Models, I Just have seen one EA81 that came with those Factory 14" Wheels and those were very Shiny! You can Run Peugeot (a.k.a: "PUG") 4X140 Wheels or do a 6 lug Redrill... beside other options, as a XT6 Rotors Swap. Kind Regards.
  23. I Use those with the "Y" and it only means that the Spark Plug's Electrode has a inner Shape, Supposed to improve the Spark's Diameter. Just like the Nippon Denso's "U" Groove. Could be just a way to attract the Market too... Kind Regards.
