  1. Just Sharing info: My 1985 EA82 Wagon came New Runnin' from California to Honduras back then and in 1993 Both Cat got Poisoned due to the Leaded Fuel in my Country... (Here came unleaded 'til 1994) So I Removed both on March, 1993 and since then my Subie runs Better; There's no Need for Cat on my Country!
  2. Seems like Subaru's Lineup is about to Change! I Really Like the Idea of a RWD Boxer impreza: it is Part of the Subaru's "MOTION-V" Five Year Plan to Complete Renew the Brand with Brand New Models... More information Here: http://www.autoblog.com/2011/07/07/subaru-promises-four-new-models-by-2016/ And Here: Subaru’s Motion-V Five-Year Plan Includes Three New Models, a Hybrid, and More Toyota Cooperation Kind Regards.
  3. I Really Need that 2" Lift Kit (Just for the Front) pretty Soon... Edit: Also I Can buy an Used one if it's in Good Shape and has all the involved Hardware.
  4. Hi All! This is Not another "What if..." Thread, I Really gonna Rebuild that "Y" Pipe from my Weberized Wagon Soon. It has been Modified very Long time ago, in 1993, when I Removed the Cat and Re-made that "Y" to a Straight Joint of the two 2" Pipes, merged onto a single 2" Pipe that goes Directly to a Free-Flow Low Noise Muffler. Now the Welded Joint of that "Y" Pipe is Rusted and has Exhaust Leak, So I Was Toying around this Idea: I Can Do an independent Exhaust for each Head with 2" Pipe, Joining together Both pipes in the Place of the "Y" but Keeping both independent, so the Subie will have Twin Exhaust Pipes. Now the Questions are: Should I Join both Pipes onto a Single Muffler? Should I Use Twin Small Mufflers, one for each Pipe? How those Options may affect the EA82 Performance? in Case Nº1, a Single Muffler will Keep the Boxer Sound while in Case Nº2 the Exhaust Sound should be Different. Anyone has Tried this Before? ... I Really Appreciate any Idea or Opinion. Kind Regards. JesZeK
  5. If your Subie's Carb is Shot and you Need to Pass emmissions, I Believe that Maybe the Easiest & Cheapiest solution "Could Be" to obtain a Used but Known-Good Hitachi Carburetor, the same as the Stock one; maybe from a Profesional Rebuild Shop... Sometimes they can Receive your Old Carb as Part of the Price. Kind Regards.
  6. Is there any Writeup with Photos about the Engine's Crossmemer Dropage and Steerin' Shaft lenghten procedures?
  7. Thank you for your Answer... Congratulations!!! ... You've done a Good Job with that Aircleaner Retrofit, I Hope to see Pictures of the finished job Soon. Kind Regards.
  8. Welcome!!! ... Your Subies are Looking Good! I Agree! Me Neither... My other Car is a '69 Mercury Comey Caliente Sports Coupe, you can see it by Click in my Avatar / Albums. Kind Regards.
  9. Good Job, Well Done! I Agree! is Amazing how "Stock" Looks your Subie's Engine bay with the Subaru Air Filter Box Hiding the Weber... Could I Ask you Something? ... I am Curious about How the Subaru Air Filter Box Changes the Engine Sound (Boxer Engine Rumble) Comin' thru the Weber at Full Throttle, 'cos the Weber with its Small and Square Filter does make those EA Engines to Sound Very Loud at Full Throttle... and That's Something that I Like Very Much! So, the Question is: How that Subaru Air Filter Box affects the "Loudness" of the Full Throttle Weber? Kind Regards.
  10. There could be a Chance that those Relays' are Wrong or not well Connected... I Kindly suggest you to Check my Write-up about How to Swap Subie's Relays for Standard Relays... I Hope this can Help. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=90403 Kind Regards.
  11. ¡Bienvenido! / Welcome! Bonito Brat conseguiste, ¡me Gusta! / Nice Brat you Got, I Like it! Aquí hay otros amigos Chilenos en este Club. / there are more Chilean Friends in this Club. Saludos Cordiales / Kind Regards.
  12. Nice! ... but Why Scrapping? ... it seems like it could be Restored... Kind Regards.
  13. Another year Passed By, Lots of Things Changed... I Haven't Scanned more Old Pics of my subie due in part of the Lack of Time and also I've been feelin' a Li'l Depressed, since the wreck happened to my 2.7 wagon, as you can read ~► Here. Now this 2011 my 1985 Weberized wagon Reached 26 Years old and all of those Being Part of my Familiy. I've been working on my Weberized Wagon doin' lots of Changes; Some of them could be Considered "Redneck" and other "Ricer" Stuff but I'm Buildin' Somehow the Best subaru I Can from parts of the Two... I Mean I'm taking the Best Stuff from my Wrecked 2.7 Wagon, and installing those in this EA82 one... Now my Former White Wagon, the Weberized EA82 is Painted in Yellow with Black stripes, Different Tone and Scheme than my 2.7 Wagon, as you can see in the Following thread: ~► Here. Also, the Undercarriage is Covered with Special Anti-Gravel Paint, No Rust at All. Also I Did the 4Runner Suspension Swap. (More info ~► Here.) And the Rear Disc Brake Swap (More info ~► Here.) Now I Just Received a New carb Adaptor, the Trans-Dapt 2107 to Fit better the Weber Carb to the intake, So I'll Work the next Weekend modifying my Subie's intake. Wish me Luck! Kind Regards.
  14. Sweet Subie you Found, I Really Like it! Could I Kindly ask more info about that? Kind Regards.
  15. You'll need to be Creative, but the Main problem will be the Engine's Vibrations... a Shaking Runnin' engine on the Floor Could be Dangerous! if you want to Start the Engine: Be Careful... ! But to Test the HG's you can do a Compression Test on the Cylinders. Kind Regards.
  16. Thank you, I already saved those for Future Reference. Kind Regards.
  17. Thank you. I Know my '85 Wagon has the EA82 Engine ... ... I was Wondering if that Datsun Adapter for Weber / Holley Carbs will Fit exactly to my Subie's intake Manyfold, but Since I Readed obk25xt's post, I know it Works for sure, but I wanted to know more Details about it... obk25xt: Could you Post pics of your Subie's weber with that adaptor, Please? Kind Regards.
  18. Few info is Given and some Questions could help to Figure out what's Wrong, Like: -is that a Brand New Weber intended (Jetted) for your Subie's Engine? -Or is an Used one for other Engine? -is a 32/36 or a 38/38? But an easy answer could be this: The idle Screw has an O-Ring that could be Worn... also Jettings might be Wrong... I Kindly suggest you to take it out to see how are the Jets and Check for worn gaskets. Good Luck! Kind Regards.
  19. This Thread "Dropped from Heaven" for Me... in Latin America we Say that Somethin' Dropped from Heaven when it comes in the Right Time at the Right Place: "Me Cayó del Cielo" I've been Restoring my Weberized EA82 Wagon, Repainting it, etc... and during this Process, the Weber carb and the upper one from the two Adaptor Plates got Damaged by Someone who was "Helping" me ... :-\ ... I Alredy fixed the Weber Carb but one of the Threads of the Plate is Damaged. There are many options to fix that up, like Welding the Screws directly to the Aluminium, etc... but I Really Liked the Idea of the Above-Posted Link's Adaptor Plate: Because it seems like it will Allow me to use Pass-thru Screws with Nuts to Hold the Carb, while the Adapter's Bottom plate could be Directly Welded to the Original intake Manyfold to get Rid from Vacuum Leaks. Could somebody that Already have Used this Adaptor Plate on a EA82 Engine with the 32/36 Weber, confirm me if the Plate facing the Carb's Button will have enough space to use Pass-Thru Screws, Please? Kind Regards.
  20. Could I Ask about the Brake Calipers your Subie Has? I've had Problems with the Front e-Brake Mechanism.
  21. Gotta Hear That! ... I'll Like to Hear that Boxer like That, but let me Ask you Something: Old Mechanics in my Country keeps Telling that a Straight exhaust Pipe makes near to Zero Resistance to the Exhaust Valves and could damage 'em... Maybe is Something to Consider. Kind Regards.
  22. Both Heads' Hoses and PCV Hose is 5/8" and you can use good Quality aftermarket hose.
