  1. Welcome! Let me Kindly Suggest you to read my Write-up about Suspension, I Hope it could Help you. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=110546 Kind Regards.
  2. Old Pic but its Animated! My other Subie's engine was Cracked in a Huge fat Crash...
  3. Yes! ... Thank you, it Really Helped and this... ...makes Sense, since Kias are the Korean Versions (Mechanically Talking) of Fords and Mazdas; even more, here in my Country we know that you can use a Spare Part for your Kia from Ford or Mazda. The Kia Sephia / Spectra have the T8D Twin Cam (16 Valves or DOHC) Four Cyl. 1.8L Engine that was Originally Designed by Ford. Kind Regards.
  4. Well... Many Years Ago I Discovered by myself some Suspension Mods for my Subies, I've Used the Ford Tempo Coil Springs on Both of Them without cutting anything and those Lift the Subie a Li'l while removes the Saggy. I've several Years Runnin' my Subies with the Ford Tempo and other Mods that I Explain in This Write-up: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=110546 The Ride gets Harder like a Small Truck but Handles Way Better. I Used Tempo's coil Springs from the 1994 Model, those are Almost Identical to the Subie's ones but with a couple of Extra Turns... For More info, Part Numbers & Pictures, I Kindly Suggest you to review my Write-up. Hope this can Help. Kind Regards.
  5. Fixed! Last Weekend I Had to Remove one of the Batterie's Terminals in order to do Basic Battery Maintenance (You know: Check its Fluid, Clean the Contacts... ) and when I Replaced the Terminal, the "Shift-Up" Light Returned Magically to its Normal Behaviour, like when the Subie was New: Just Comin' On only at Sustained High RMP's in Lower-than 5th Gears. It was just like "Reset" a CPU... Somehow... I Think. Kind Regards.
  6. Let me Kindly Suggest you to Read my Write-up about re-thread in Aluminium: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=73277 it Has pictures and I Hope it could be very Helpful... Kind Regards.
  7. Thank you Steve for your Kind Words, I Hope I could Rebuild it Someday but Now I have not enough money to Buy a New (to me) used Engine for it; the Body is Already Straighten but it has Missing some few parts like Corner Lights; Basically the whole car only needs a New Engine & Radiator to go back to the Road again. But here in my Country, Those are Very expensive. _______________________________________________________ I Used this Rear Disc Brakes with an Alternate Brake Caliper, sourced from another brand car but is a Direct Fit, in order to Retrofit Rear Parking Brakes (e-Brakes) on my beloved Subaru "BumbleBeast" Here you can see Detailed Photos & explanations of such Mod: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/129779-the-definitive-rear-e-brake-retrofit-solution/ Kind Regards.
  8. Thank you GD for your Kind Words. It used to be somehow "Easy" to obtain parts for Old-School Subies, 'cos the Local Dealer used to be full of 'em, but now the Story is Changing... Please follow This Link for Further Details: ~► Here. Kind Regards.
  9. ...or that issue could be Related to the Engine Swap? 'cos if the Subie now got a 2.5L engine (EJ25 I Guess by the User name) Maybe the Engine Crossmember is Loose... Just an Option... Kind Regards.
  10. if... ...Then the Oil pump is Worn... and if the T.O.D. is sung for too much time, the Hydro Lifters will go Worn too... But That Trends to be somehow "Usual" on EA82's... Gotta Lovin' those Cars! Kind Regards.
  11. I've Worked on a Couple of Friend's Subarus the past Weekends, With Brakes and Engine issues... My Everyday Warrior Subie is Runnin' Good, I Just Removed the Seats and the Whole Carpet to Wash it Clean. I Completed the Subaru Historic & Prototypes Database with Lots of Extremly Rare Models' Pictures; you can see 'em here: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=53434&page=96 Non-Subaru but Car Related activity: I did a Tune-up to my '69 Mercury and Re-Lube the Glasses Mechanism on the Doors. Kind Regards.
  12. Holy Cow! ... Good Job but: how could you keep clean the internals of that intake, from the metal debris? I Mean: if you did that Job right there, some metal debris could be Swallowed onto the Combustion Chamber with Potential Damage ... ...
  13. So sad that Subaru didn't Sell the Carb + Disty Stock EJ Engined Subarus in USA, only in the "Rest of the World". We got plenty of those imprezas & Legacies with Stock Carb + Disty Setup in the Early Models, up to 1994 and Now even the Dealer Doesn't have Parts for those Distys. I've Pics of some Carbd EJ engines and Parts Numbers in this Thread: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=101887&page=2 I believe that info Might Help, Somehow. Kind Regards.
  14. Nice Wooden Cup Holder... I Like it, but I Don't Believe the GL's Dashboard will have enough space...

  17. Could I Ask about which SAE engine Oil did you Pour on that Engine? ... the Oil Filter is New? Different Oil Viscosities make the Pressure to Vary.
  18. OE Gaskets... Forget about those Crappy aftermarket ones and Your subie's engine will be allright.
  19. Good Looking Baja! Could I Ask how you did That? ... I'll Like to Know more Details. Kind Regards.
  20. Today I Did a Complete Engine Tune-up on a Friend's Loyale EA82... Not my Subie but Still is "Subiework"... :-p ... Also I Found More Subaru Prototypes and Special Models' Pictures on my Research, and Posted Pics on This Thread: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=53434&page=96 Like the "Subaru Tortoise" (Turtle) ... ...
  21. I'm Glad to know that my Lazy Solution Helped you to Solve your Subie's Brake Fluid Leakage ... ... You're Welcome! That issue Usually is caused by the Secondary Stage of the Hitachi Carburetor. Since that Secondary Stage is Operated by a Vacuum Valve, Sometimes one of this Things might be Happening: - Loose or Cracked Vacuum Hose. - Stickin' Vacuum Actuator. - Bad Routed Vacuum Hose, so it only opens when it is Deep Accelerated. I Kindly Suggest you to Check those Tiny Vacuum Hoses around your Subie's Carburetor. Kind regards.
  22. I Like that Subie... ... I Have Lots of info about the Subaru 360 Here: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=53434&page=96 Kind Regards.
