if you Already set the Timing Belts using the Three Marks on the Flywheel, and you are Sure that Rotated 180º one Head's Belt from the Other... the Failure cause could be Somewhere Else... I Kindly Suggest you to Start Checkin' the Electric Basics, in Example: the Fusible Links, the ignition Coil and the wire that comes from that coil to the Disty... Could be Broken. Kind Regards.

Oil Catch Can in EA82
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to Loyale 2.7 Turbo's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Ok, the Oil catch can Finally came. When I Purchased it in e-Bay (with the Kind Help of a Friend) it said "15mm Fittings" that Equals to my Subie's 5/8" Heads Hoses... But the Thing came with 9mm Fittings... which equals to 3/8" ... Smaller sized fittings. I know that I could use a Small piece of 3/8" Hose in those fittings to make the 5/8" Hose plug over it, but the Question is: Will this 3/8" reduction be too Restrictive for my EA82 engine? I've Tested (with my Mouth's Vacuum ) the Oil Catch can flow and is somehow restrictive by itself. Kind Regards.- 42 replies

MY LIL' ROO (93' legacy wagon) !! w/ new pics !!
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to iamvandemon's topic in Off Road
Could I Ask about the Shortened Back... Was it for Off-Roadin' Purposses? ... to have a Better Angle? The short Legacy Looks Nice! To Post pics here very Easily, first Upload them to a Photo Host Site like Photobucket, then Open there the Pic and do a Right Click / Copy. Then: To post the Pic here, just Right Click / Paste it in the Post. Kind Regards. -
Sometimes people are very Busy with other Threads... in Example: I Posted a Couple of Years Ago that I was Painting my White Weberized Wagon in Yellow, but not like my Other Yellow Wagon (The ER27 Wagon was Dark Yellow) I Painted my White Wagon in Bright Yellow and Black, I Posted a thread in the "Playground" forums we had after the Site went Down for a While, in 2008... Then I Posted This Thread a Couple of Years Ago, Tryin' to Bring back that, but No one posted a single Reply... Then I Posted This Thread about my First 25 Years Owning my Weberized EA82 Wagon, but also seems like it wasn't very interesting... I Understand that there are other more interesting Threads... I'm Here Trying to do my Best to Help Others with Ideas and Share my Experiences & Knowledge... well, that's the Idea of this Forum. Kind Regards.

Biggest tires i can run on my stock 96' legacy?
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to DanteC's topic in Off Road
Thank you for your Kind Answer... My EA82 Weberized Wagon now Runs with 205/60 R 15 (25") without Rubbing, I made Somehow a Custom 2" Lift just by Swapping the Suspension, as you can Read here: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=110546 Your Subie does Look Good with those Chrome Rims... My other Wagon (the ER27 engined one, now Crashed as you can Read here) has a Set of Chrome Rims too... Kind Regards. -

Does that Tires Rub? ... I'll Love to See Pictures... Could you Post any? -
Nice Subie! Yes, it Really Needs Bigger Tires... I Run my EA82 Wagon with 25" (205/60 R15) Tires without major Modifications except the Rims and their Lug Pattern. Couldn't you Find a Set of Peugeot 4 X 140 Rims? Kind Regards.

Any NZers looking for wheels?
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to Ross's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
I Really Know and Like those "Cheviot" Rims (Made in France) I Used to own a Set that came from a Renault, 4 X 140 ... Fits incredible Well in a 4 X 140 Subaru. Then, with time one Broke... Well, I Don't Like to have a Car with Mixed Rims, So I had to Change 'em, but I Still have this Age Old Photo, You can see one Cheviot Rim on the Rear of my EA82 Wagon: Kind Regards. -

Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to mimouss's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Yes... Old Renaults & Peugeots had the 4 X 140 Rims, like Old Subarus Did. The "Loyale" model name for USA and certain Latin American Counties (such as Chile), for the Rest of the World it is Known with other Names, but the most well Known is "Leone" Kind Regards. -

Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to tailgatewagon's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Subaru Continued the Production of EA Engines up to 1994. Sharin' some info: here in Latin America, the Subaru Body Known in USA as "Loyale" came factory with the Followin' engines: Sedan DL: 1.3L (EA65) on FWD and 1.6L (EA71) on 4WD Wagon DL: 1.6L (EA71) on FWD and 4wd. The 1.8L (EA81) on 4WD DL's was an Option. Sedan GL: 1.6L (EA71) on FWD and 1.8L (EA81) on 4WD. The 1.8L (EA82) was an Option. Wagon GL: 1.8L (EA81) on FWD and 4WD. The 1.8L (EA82) on Both FWD and 4WD was an Option. Luxury GL10: 1.8L (EA82T) Turbo, both Sedan or Wagon. So here were available those engines in the Subaru Lineup Untill 1995... not only in that Body Shape but also in the Hatchback (Except the EA82 for that Body) You can Confirm the EA Series Engine Production, Here. Latin America has the Same Options that Subaru offered in Asia and Australia... Not Sure about Europe; but in USA the "Loyale" went with Factory EA82, but some few ones Went there with Factory EA81 engines too. About the EFi in those EA engines: Subaru only offered it first in the EA81T (Turbo) and then in the EA82 but as an Option, because the Buyer was able to Choose if the car's engine came with Carburetor or Not. That was mere a Price factor, 'cos no Pollution artifacts, like Cathalytic converters are needed here. That "Carb or EFi" option Lasted up to the Legacy lineup (with EJ engines) Let me Explain: First gen of Legacy came to Honduras in Late 1988 as 1989 Model, the EJ engines came with Stock Carburetor and Distribuitor up to the 1994 model. Then, the EFi was an Option too... Kind Regards. -
Thank you for your Kind Words...
