  1. Seems like the Correct Translation for "Ebanista" is Cabinetmaker...
  2. Type of Wrenching: Started Helping my Dad since I Can Remember, he is Professional, Now I'm "Semi Professional" Mainly on Old School Cars, Almost all Japanese and American Muscle Cars... Now Working "Shade Tree" almost Every Weekend due to my Job. How long doing it: Started very Young, I Remember my First Valve Adjustment Job was in 1984, also Brakes Pump Change, etc... 1985 was my First Year with Subarus, when my Dad Purchased the EA82 Wagon that Now is my Everyday Warrior. so More than 25 Years of Experience Now. I've Done Complete Engines Rebuilt (includin' Diesel ones, which I Don't Like) and Lots of Swaps... My First Swap was the Disc Brakes Setup on my 1969 Mercury Comet, (which can be seen here) Also: I Paid all my University Studies Fixing Cars! ... ... Other skills: Ebanist, Woodcraft, I Build Wooden Custom Speakers Enclosures and Wooden Parts for Cars' interiors, like Wooden Dashboards and wooden Frame Adapers for Stereos, (which can be Seen Here) Also I'm Electrician and do Plumbing Works on Houses and I'm Musician, I Play Piano & Keyboards. (can be Seen Here, on post 59) Also other many things... except Sports... Kind Regards.
  3. if it is a EA82 engine with Carburetor, the Fuel Pump + the Filter are Located Down under the Car, Nearby the Gas Tank. Search Behind up the Passenger's Side Rear Wheel. More information of your Dad's Loyale Model will be Helpful... Kind Regards.
  4. I've Helped a Guy Long Years Ago, to install an Aftermarket Steerin' Wheel, 'cos the one on his Subie was Bented on a Small Crash he had (and it got Ugly when he Tried to correct that). That was the Steerin' wheel that only have Two Support Points Going Down (Early GL's) So, I only Took out the Stock Steerin' Wheel with a Puller and he went to Search for an Aftermarket one with it, in order to Get the Same Bolt Measurement. There are Many Aftermarket Steerin' Wheels with Many Bolt Sizes to Fit . So I Kindly Suggest you to Remove your Subie's Steerin' Wheel and Search for the Same Measurement to Fit = Forget about Adapters. Kind Regards.
  5. is easy to find AfterMarket Steerin' Wheels, like the Cool one in this Pic: Kind Regards.
  6. Thank you for your Kind Answers. I Already wrote to Scott, he is so Kind and did offer me just the Needed parts for a good price. But I Still Need to see some Writeup or Explanation for the Procedure to Drop the Engine's Crossmember and lenghten the steering shaft, (With Pics, if Possible) because I never have done that Job before and I am Little Afraid to Damage Something; Safety is my Nº 1 Priority: I Transport my Li'l Baby Daughter in this Crazy Honduran Streets with that Wagon. So, if Anybody can Help me to Explain that Procedures or point me to a Write up (I Searched and Didn't find anything exactly related) I will be more than Thankful. Kind Regards.
  7. I Kindly Suggest to Check the Fuel Lines and Fuel Pump + Filter... if Everything is OK, Check the Timin' Belts, Check if the Disty's Rotor is Spinning. If Everything is Allright and you're Sure about That, it could be a Loose Disty Coil's Wire or Maybe the Coil itself went Bad. Finally: Fusible Links. There you have my Suggestions... I Hope those can Help. Kind Regards.
  8. Long time ago (as you can see the Background Story ~► Here in a Short thread), I wanted to do a Li'l Front Lift of 2" to level the front of my "BumbleBeast" because with my Suspension Mods (Which can be seen ~► Here) it gained two inches of lift in the Rear... Back then I Couldn't buy the 2" Lifting kit because Paypal Didn't Had Honduras in their List (Four Years Ago) But Now, that story is about tho Change... I Really Need to Lift Two inches (2") the Front to Level my "BumbleBeast", but Without Loosing the Safety and proper Camber / Caster, also I Want to Keep the Axles' angle the more Straight Possible, So, I Believe that a Pair of 2" Blocks at 15º for the Front Struts, plus Dropping the Engine Crossmember 1" will do that, isn't it? I am Kindly Asking your Advice, Because I Really Need to do a 2" Front Lift but as Cheaper and Easier as it could be, without Sacrificing the Subie's Safety + Alignment. Please, Help me... Any Advice will be very Welcome! Kind Regards. ► Edited to add the Tags for the New USMB Search System.
  9. if You're Searchin' for six Lug Rims, not Only Toyota but other car Makers had them, like Chevrolet, Isuzu, etc... I Believe that those might be Easy to Find in a Junk Yard; Not only original but also there are plenty Aftermarket ones. Kind Regards.
  10. Yes, you can Swap there another Steering Wheel... is Easy to take it Off, just a Nut and Voilá (I Mean, after Taking the Horn Cover Off)
  11. Does it Make an Accelerated high Pitch Sound while Cranking? ... if So, it should have a Bad Timing, even if Belts are well installed, the Disty could be Off... I Kindly Suggest to Check the Disty Timing. Good Luck, Kind Regards.
  12. Thank you for your Kind Answer... I Never Heard about "El Sobrante" seems to be a Nice Town with a weird spanish name. Yes, I Kindly Suggest you to leave the cable Disconnected and try it for a Couple of Days to see if the HH stop Leakin' Give us Feedback then... Kind Regards.
  13. Thanks to all of you for your Kind Words... You're Right. I Asked my Dad to Take some Pictures, I Want to Know (seeing) how Really looks my 2.7 Wagon after the Crash, but the Police didn't granted him access to the parking yard ... ... I'm Still Asking my Vacation time at work by December, to go for a couple of Weeks to my Parents' HomeTown, I Hope my Boss will let me go... Kind Regards.
  14. Welcome! ... Pics Please! Have Fun in the Snow!
  15. Let me Tell you that I Had the same Problem... But I Only Disconnected the Cable that goes to the Hill Holder Valve and the Thing haven't Leaked Any single Brake fluid Drop in Three Years. So Maybe you Don't need that "T" Fitting. But if you Decide that you Still Need it, You'll Find it in a Store that Sells Brakes, hoses & Hydraulic Stuff; here in My Country we have certain Stores dedicated just to that Stuff and they have it for Sure. You can Bring your subie to one of those Stores and Ask to the Salesman to see your Subie's HH and ask him to Test a "T" that fits its Lines. Could I Ask: Where is "El Sobrante"? Kind Regards.
  16. It is located Behind the GloveBox. You must need to Remove it, but Maybe the Heater fan isn't Working due to Fried Resistors... That Happens. Does yours Work in Any Number Position? Kind Regards.
  17. If the Carb is OK I don't Believe it would need any Adjustment, but if you can Weberize it, your EA82 Will Perform Much Better. Kind Regards.
  18. EA82 came with Both Hitachi and Nippon-Denso Distribuitors... Could you give some more Background info? Which one does your Subie Have and Which one did they offer to you? Also Both came Stock in 2WD and 4WD Kind Regards.
  19. Yes... I have seen some Nissan 240SX locally, but very Few. It will be very Hard to find one of those at a local Junk Yard... Kind Regards.
  20. Great Paint Job! ... Nice Lookin' Subie! Those are 15" Rims, isn't it? ... Could I Ask more info about the Tire Size? Kind Regards.
  21. You're Right! No News for now, except that there's a Huge Rainstorm at my Parents' HomeTown Area, so I'm Afraid that maybe the Subie has been left with the Windows' Down at the Police Parking yard... They don't care for anything.
  22. Those are... Very nice Pictures, I Like them, sees Lot of Fun!
  23. The Subaru Bighorn has Nothing to do with Toyota... but with Isuzu (Follow the Links I've Posted) And it is a 4EAT Dual Range. About the Diesel Boxer Engine, I Only have Readed and Heard Bad Comments ... I'll watch carefully when I See one in Person, beside the Dealer's Place.
