94' ea 82 spfi ecu wiring
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to mutantfab's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Well... I Run my EA82 without all that Smog Stuff (Using a Weber Carb) and it didn't Harm the ECU at all. So if yours Will Go to a Buggy, I Believe that you could Remove ALMOST all that Smog Stuff, Except the EFi Related Stuff, 'cos your EA82 Must be MPFi, isn't it? Kind Regards. -
Dad Called Today to me by Phone, and Told me that the Police made the "Accident Reconstruction" which is Somehow a Reunion at the Crash Site with all persons involved, to Recreate what happened. We'll Wait for the Final Report...

Thank you for your Kind Words... The Truck was insured, the 2.7 wagon No; because Honduran insurance Companies Won't give insurance to any car that is 10+ Years Old, except if it is a Certified Collectors' Car or Classic.

Thanks Again, Yes my Li'l Daughter have two years old now... Kind Regards. -
¡Muchas Gracias por sus Amables Palabras! Thank You for your Kind Words! I'm Glad that you Liked my Subie ... ... You're So Kind. Yes, I Will Try to do my Best to Fix it. The Problems Right Now are: The Subie is in the Police Yard (also the Truck) and will be There 'till the Legal Situation is Solved. is not Easy to Solve that Legal Situation, it could take Months... I Don't Know if we could get some Payment from the Truck's Company (it is a Delivery Truck) even if they have insurance. The Truck itself Didn't get much Damage other than the Front Bumper and certain Lights (the Truck had an added tube Bumper, as my Dad said) and the Truck Driver Didn't got Hurt; but insurance companies are a Nightmare to deal with. So, Wish me Luck! Kind Regards.

Thanks for your Kind Answer... Your Subie Looks Very Good, also, could I Ask you if That White Thing that sees in the Rear Seat, is a Baby Seat? I Carry a Baby Seat in my Subie Wagon for my Li'l Daughter... Kind Regards. -

Dear Friends: As some of you already Know, I have Two Subaru Wagons, my "Everyday Warrior" is the White, Weberized EA82 that is always with me as daily driver; the other is the Yellow ER27 Engined one that is my "Weekend Warrior" and it usually stays with my Parents at my HomeTown. I Work Very Far Away from Home. So my Dad Drives that Yellow ER27 Subie and I Choosed the EA82 because is way more Reliable. Last Saturday I Received Bad News: my Uncle Borrowed my Dad's Subie (the Yellow 2.7 one) to do an errand; while he was cruising in a two way Road, approaching a curve, he just Saw coming a School Bus on the other way, at the same time being Passed by a Medium sized cab-forward Truck, in Direct Collision Course with him! The Truck Driver Tried to Stop but the Tires Locked and went to the Open side of the Curve, so my uncle tried to do everything possible to Stop the car, while steer away but the 2.7 Wagon had a Direct Front impact ... ... Now my Uncle is Better, he had a big Head Hit on the Windshield's Pillar but the Safety Belt Held him Enough to not allow his Stomach to hit the Steerin' Wheel... I asked Dad about my Subie ... ... Considering all the adaption works done during such weird Engine Swap, and that the ER27 Engine is designed to Hold itself to the Front in a much longer engine bay than the Wagon's one, so we welded some sort of "Arm" for it, my Dad said that the Welded Arm point was the worst affected area because it received the Truck's Bumper Direct Hit... Long story Short: he said that the Front Bumper got Smashed in, Both Headlamps and Turn Signals are Broken and left useless, the Hood cover is Damaged, the said front arm was Broken and thus meant a Broken Engine Block; and all the Belts & Pulleys are Smashed to the Front, the external Belts are Bursted and the Timing Belt Covers, tensioners and Belts are damaged too, beside more damage that Couldn't be seen for now but you can imagine for sure... I Want to Go to see my Uncle and the Car's Damage. I want to See if I Can Repair it Somehow ... but I Can not Leave my Job for enough time to Go to my Parents' HomeTown (it takes a Whole Day to Go and a Whole Day to Come because it is a Coast to Coast Voyage) I'm asking my Vacation time to my Boss, Maybe next December... For me, it is So Sad, because too many Time, Work, Effort and Money went on my 2.7 Project since 1999 when everything Started ... You Might Laugh but let me Tell you that I even Cried... ...I am Feeling So Sad... People in my Country Drive Very, Very Bad, Like Crazy. Kind Regards.

$ 1,200.ºº US Dollars for a Set of Mud Tires is Too Expensive... Here you can Obtain a Great Mud Tires' Set for around $ 500.ºº Maybe Because We got Latin American Made Versions of Major Brands like Good Year, etc... also Chinese and Japanese Tires. Nice Thread... Kind Regards.

Well... Not Tryin' to Hijact the Thread but Sharing information: Yes they Did, but only in the Subarus with EA Engines... the Last one was the "Loyale" (Subaru Leone 3rd Gen) its Production ended in 1994. As Far as I have investigated and Readed, those EA82 Engined Subaru came with Nine (yes, 9) Different Possibilities of Transmission Versions all over the world : - 5 speed Manual FWD - 5 speed Manual FWD with Push-Button 4WD (Red button on the Lever gets you in 4WD; not available in the Wagon versions) - 5 speed Manual FWD with Dual Range (An extra Lever get's you into 4WD HI and 4WD LO; only in Wagon versions) - 5 speed Manual AWD with Central-Difflock (permanent AWD, only in the Turbo version in 1988 and 1989) - 3 speed Automatic FWD - 3 speed Automatic FWD with Push-Button 4WD (Button on the Lever; No Wagon versions) - 3 speed Automatic FWD with Dual Range (Extra Lever for HI and LO; Only in the Wagon versions) - 4 speed Automatic AWD with Central-Difflock (Turbo, except the Wagon Version, only 1988 and 1989) - 4 speed Automatic AWD with Central-Difflock AND Dual range (only on Turbo Wagons in 1988 and 1989) For More information, Visit This Thread: ~► Here. Kind Regards.

Thank you for your Kind Answer... Now I Remember that 5/8" "T" that Had a 1/4" outlet... but my 1985 EA82 (Californian Version) just got One in the PCV Hose and it had Hooked the "T" Outlets as Follows: The 5/8" Out from that "T" went to the Stock Air Filter Box, to a Little side Box that had a Rubber "Valve" that only let the PCV to "Blow" Air inside the Air Filter Box. Then the 1/4" Hose was Hooked to another part of the Air Filter Box, which had its Own independent Mini Filter Element, so the PCV only can "Breathe" thru this Opening. That is the Way my Subie came. Then the Head's 5/8" Went each one to the Air Filter Box, to a Side Pipes that had the openings nearby the Carb. Maybe there were Different Configurations for Different Markets or Year Models, I Guess? Kind Regards.

Kia Sephia Sporty
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to Loyale 2.7 Turbo's topic in Non Soob Cars and Bikes Discussion
Thank you for your Kind Answer! I Solved the Problem... For Now; let me Explain: I Searched around the Engine with a Good Hand Lamp, yesterday's Night after my Post and Found Nothing unusual. Then this Early Morning I Searched again with Sun Light... then I Found something Weird: The Air Filter Box, which remind me an Octopus due to its four Hoses: One goes from the Air Filter Box to Up above the Radiator, to breathe fresh Air... One goes from the Air Filter Box to the Fender's inner part! (to breath Dusty Air?) One goes from the Air Filter Box to the intake Manyfold. The Last one comes from the third one and goes to an empty Box, which I Assume is some Sort of Squared "Catch Can" Box. Well... That Fourth one was the Culprit: The Catch can Box had a Vertical Rectangular Hole in one Side, around one inch Wide and as Tall as the Box itself... So the Engine was Breathing directly "Fresh Air" Right from the Atmosphere, bypassing any Filter and increasing intake's Air Flow. Gotta Love those Easy Fixes: I Just Closed it with Black Electric Tape and I Drove the Car Today... All the Symptoms gone instantly, the Ride (to my Job) lasted one Hour... then in the Afternoon I Drove it Back to Home another Hour and the "Check Engine Light" (CEL) is Gone by itself!!! Now I will see if I can Find a Good Replacement for that Part, 'cos I was Considering to Resurface it with Fiberglass, but its Plastic material is too Cheap and is too Worn, so it Doesn't Worth it. Does Anybody Knows which other car has a Direct Replacement for that Plastic Box? ... it Seems to measure 3" each side. Kind Regards. -
Please excuse me if I Wrote too much... I Just tried to do my Best to Help you. OK, forget about the Fuses... Maybe there are a Bad Ground Somewhere as you Wrote first, but could I Ask: if you cannot Find the Ground that goes... ...under the Dash, Why don't you put another Grounding Line to the Ground of the Lights Circuit? Kind Regards.
