    I Kindly Suggest the Same as GD Said: Go Weber! You might Consider that the Actual Bad Carburetor has a LOT to do with that Slowish issue. The Weber Carb will Help to make it Faster. Kind Regards.

    Well... the Wrong one... That Happens, but You might Consider that Usually when one Side Fails, the Other one is about to do the Same Soon... 'cos Usually both Sides where Put Together. So it was a Good Job. Kind Regards.

    if the Subie Moves... ...even a Little, I Don't Believe it could be a Broken CV Joint, because if So, a Loud Grinding Noise will come out from the Wheel's Area and the Subie Won't move an inch; also you Wrote that you Drove it and I Guess that you Didn't Heard any CV Joint's Noise, isn't it? So I Guess the Transmission is Having some Troubles. is it Automatic? ... Let her Check the ATF Level and Shape, using a White Paper Towel to Describe Better the ATF Colour... Hope this can Help.     You're Welcome! Holy Cow! ... if you Had any Car Overchargin' for a Long Time, the Battery itself Might Explode!

    Overchargin' Alternators are like SuperNova Stars: That is the Behaviour of a Dying Voltage Regulator, so you can Spect an Alternator Fail Soon. The Regulator is integrated into the Alternator itself... To Drive your Subie at 18 Volts could Fry the Stereo and eventually the Light Bulbs; plus any other Electronic Sensitive Equipment. (Think About the Dashboard Circutry and the ECU too) I Kindly Suggest you to take the Alternator to the Car Electric Shop, to Change the Worn Parts of the Built-in Regulator; or Search for another Alternator at a Junk Yard but you can end with Two Bad Alternators ... :-\ ... Also you can do an Alternator Upgrade, using the Nissan's Maxima 100 Amps one; useful if you Plan to Run Extra Halogen Lights. (There is a Complete Write Up about it Here) Good Luck! Kind Regards.

    Usually those fine tubes got a small bent in Old Clean Jobs and they Continue Working like That without Notice Untill they got Clogged... You can Disassemble the Carb and Try to Straighten it a Li'l Bit with a Very fine Steel Needle, but be Careful 'cos the bent tube can Break. Maybe you can Replace it... or even Better: Swap a Weber Carb There! Good Luck! Kind Regards.

    Not Thread Hijack intended, but Sharing some interesting information... ...Let me Tell you that here, in Honduras, the Cost of the Repair is Paid ALWAYS just for the Complete Job, No Hourly Payments here. So you Pay just for what you want to be Done... Kind Regards.

    Holy Cow! ... That's Expensive ... ... Here Prices are Very Cheap, I Used "Glasurit" Brand Paint (Made by BASF but here, in Central America) Polyurethane Paint to Paint Both my Wagons, and My Mercury Comet with Great Results, but the Materials Price Won't go over $ 250.ºº Each Car... Since I Painted them by Myself (with some Friends Help to Sand and Polish) That was a Cheap Paint Job... But a Paint Job done in a Professional Garage must be Between $ 500.ºº and $ 750.ºº Depending on How much Body work is involved. Now I Know Why Lots of Honduran Professional Car Painters goes to Work in USA...

    Well, if you... ...Overheated the Transmission, the Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) Must have Loosed its Chemical Propierties and / or Create Gum Deposits that Could make that Behaviour... I Kindly Suggest you to Check the ATF and if it is Lookin' like Dirt Water, I Suggest Clean the Transmission, then Put Fresh ATF... it Might Help. Good Luck! Kind Regards.

    I Had that Problem, but Now is Solved, Using a Better Kind of Grease does increase the Lifespan of those CV Joints. You Might Consider the Quality of the Grease Used, which has Much to do with the CV Joint's Life... I Use Graphite Grease designed Just for CV Joints, Like the one in the Pic Below: Kind Regards.

    To the Latin American Markets for Sure... Along Other car Brands. I Agree, Specially for Classic Cars... True, the Only Emissions free Vehicle I Like is the Tesla Roadster. But Maybe Someone Start Selling successfully, an "Electric Conversion Kit" for Older Vehicles... Or FaceBook ... ... Kind Regards.

    You're Welcome! I Believe that the EJ Series would be Keep Alive for more Years to Come... Subaru Developed Certain EJ Engines with Cosworth: ~► http://www.speedalliance.com/catalog/Cosworth-High-Performance-Long-Block-Assemblies.html the New Generation of Engines are Nice Lookin' : But the Newer Gasoline Boxer Engines are Named the FB Series... The New Engine, according to Automotive News, will range from 2.0 to 2.5 liters and will, in Some Variations, get Both Direct injection and a Start-Stop system—as well, of Course, as TurboCharging in sportier models like the Impreza WRX and STI. It's likely that the Naturally Aspirated Versions would be Considerably More Powerful than the Current EJ Lineup. And according to Subaru, it gets a Lower-Maintenance Timing Chain System, instead of Timing Belts... ...Now that's a Huge Advantage in my Own Opinion. More info ~► Here Kind Regards.
