Nice Idea! ... Post Pics of your Subie with it, Please! -
I Use both sides 18" on both my Subies... Larger Blades seems to Fail to Rub in their tops due to the Windshield's Glass Curve. Kind Regards.

I Have information & Pictures Posted in This Thread ~► Here, regarding the Development of the EA81D (Diesel) and the EJ Engines in the Washington University, Starting in my Post Nº 170, 174, then more info on post Nº 359 (Page 36) also I Posted This Link http://vri.etec.wwu.edu/ In Post Nº 341 I Posted This Picture of the First EJ Engine Prototype, seems to be like an EA81 with Overhead Cams and Timing Belt Drive... like the one Described back in this Thread: Look at the Fuel injectors' place interesting, isn't it? Now I Know, after Reading this thread, that the "Quattro San" (or "Mr. 4" in English) is Not the same Subie that Jackie Chan Drove in the 1982 Movie "Cannonball Run" but, it was there too... Could Anyone re-Upload the Missing Pictures of this Thread, Please? There are any News about the "Quattro San"? Kind Regards.

Bump! I'm Not Sure about the Relation Between the ECU and the Engine Start Control... Could Anybody Answer this, Please? Kind Regards. -
You're Welcome! I Preffer the Zip Ties 'cos I have had many Troubles in the Past with the Sharp Edges of the Metal clamps... they could Cut the Boot... Also those Zip Ties are Widely Used here in my Country... I Have Traveled very Long Trips all Across Central America Drivin' the Subie with Zip Ties on the CV Joint's Boots without Any Fail. Kind Regards.

Car-like 6lug rims?
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to 4x4_Welder's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Could you Post Pictures of it? ... Thank you! -
Yep! I Have over a Decade Runnin' my Subies with Zip Ties... ...Without Any Problem; Long Time Ago, when Those Big Strong ties (as you can see in my Subie Pic above) wasn't Available here in my Country, I Used to put Two thin Ties in Each Boot's End, without Any Problem. Also I've Serviced other brand Cars (to Change Boots & Grease, and / or Axles) and the Zip Ties Does Hold there for all the Boot Lifetime... Also they Doesn't have Sharp Sides that can Cut the Boot and they're easy to take off if you want to re-grease the axle... Well, I Just Wanted to Share my Own Experience. Kind Regards.

Thank you for your Kind Answers OK, OK ... So I Can Grab the ECU and Remove it from the Subie without any Problem... I Was 98% Sure of That except for the Ignition Start Control, 'cos a Friend of Mine Told me that the Subie Won't Start without the ECU... ...is that True? ...How is the Engine Start Related to the ECU? Kind Regards. -

...and the Battery Base, that was Very Rusty. Again: The Magic of SandPaper & RustOleum: I Hanged it There After Painting and it had Two Hours at the Sun Light, Then started to Rain... Also I Glued a Thick Rubber Over it... it is a Great idea that this Kias have a Removable Battery Base, just three Nuts and Voilá! -

Just for information: I serviced (just Oil & Filter Change) a recent Mazda 3 and every part says: FoMoCo ... Kia does Not use the "Original" FoMoCo Parts but their own made Versions... the Main Difference between those Products are the Body Design, 'cos even many parts are interchangeable. Kia Shares some Parts with Hyundai... (Kia & Hyunday are the Same since 1997) ...All that Facts makes Very Easy to Obtain Parts for a Kia, you can Choose from which Brand and Aftermarket you might Want... -

Yes... You're Right: Kia / Mazda \ Ford are Somehow producing Versions of the same car, like the Li'l one you Had, Which became one of the "Most Wanted" in the Used Cars Market... They are Long Lasting & Economic to Drive. The same case is the Ford Focus / Mazda 3 \ Kia Sephia (Now renamed as "Spectra")
