  1. Backfiring! ... ... Have you checked if the Spark plugs are wired in the proper order? Kind Regards.
  2. Congratulations on your New Forester!!! ... ... This thread deserves good photos of it! I wish I could find such bargains here in my Country... Kind Regards.
  3. Although there is already a posted link to an excellent article, about changing the hubs from four to six Bolts; in this Other article, you can find additional information that could be valuable if you decide to go thru that route: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/128105-offcial-6-lug-re-drill-thread/
  4. Check for corroded connections, they need to be clean. Also, if you already changed one of the two sockets for the Headlamps' bulbs; the other one might be in same conditions as the other was, so it worth to change it as well. Did the Grounding cable, snapped while the engine was Running? Kind Regards.
  5. Here you can find ideas to Test a Distributor: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/129601-how-to-easily-test-an-ignition-module/ Kind Regards.
  6. Here you can grab some ideas to Lift a little / Reinforce the suspension of your '91 Loyale: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/106807-improved-shock-absorbers-and-spring-coils-on-loyales/ Kind Regards.
  7. Welcome Matt! Nice Subarus, keep us updated regarding the Repairs you're doing on your L series. Kind Regards.
  8. Recently my "BumbleBeast" reached 31 years with us; and my little Daughter's birthday was nearby; so I took this Photo, of my Subie with the costumed Girls, that came to liven up the Birthday party.
  9. It is not easy to diagnose a car that is thousands of miles away, with a frugal description; however, by looking at the photos, I am not sure about how did you wired the ignition coil, but seems like the polarity is inverted, somehow... I can only suggest you, to double Check if the ignition coil has been wired properly, and / or test to start it with the old coil; as this Accel one might be wrong. This issue needs further testing to be properly diagnosed / solved. Kind Regards.
  10. I kindly suggest you to use a two inches Diameter piping, and a free flow muffler, only. I've been runnin' my "BumbleBeast" since 1993 with that setup, with great results. ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/71510-ideas-on-swaping-a-weber-carb-on-ea82%C2%B4s/?do=findComment&comment=1027113 Kind Regards.
  11. Welcome! Nice photo, Thanks for sharing. Kind Regards.
  12. Royal Purple is Amazing, and Expensive; as far as I've read. Never tested it in person, but here you can download a Comparison chart, done with lab tests, at the end of this article, which also might enlighten your path, to choose the proper SAE weight oil for your Subie's engine, during winter times; according to a chart, depending on the climate in your area: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/126284-how-to-determine-which-is-the-best-motor-oil-for-your-car/ Kind Regards.
  13. Regarding the USMB store, I've read in the past, that the new USMB system, not always lets the administrators to know when a payment has been done, in example, for a membership subscription; so I guess that the same happened with your Purchase, the administrator might not know about it. So I kindly suggest you to contact via private message, to Shawn, he is very kind but always very busy working at RetroRoo; he might not know about your Purchase, due to said system's issue. Kind Regards.
  14. Yes, to change your well known, well maintained car, for an Unknown one, is always a Bad idea, unless you have a "Backup" car and the one you obtained was something you Really Wanted / Needed. Exactly the same here; especially having to transport my Li'l daughter. Kind Regards.
  15. Download it from page five of my "BumbleBeast" build thread, whose link is on my signature below. Kind Regards.
  16. Basically talking, to retrofit a Weber Carburetor on a SPFi engine, requires a Carb intake, to change the Fuel Pump for a lower pressure one, and the Timing / ECU management. Back on Topic: Where did you Purchased it online? Sometimes the Shipping information is delayed online, but the item has been sent. Worth talking by Phone or sending en eMail to the sellers. Kind Regards.
  17. You're Welcome. I would start by checking the Battery / Alternator status, and the Groundings. Kind Regards.
  18. You're Welcome. You should follow the wiring harness, going from the mere instrument Cluster, it should go to the EJ22 engine's ECU / Engine Bay. Sometimes the Flasher makes the Tachometer to Jump, more likely for one of this three reasons, or a combination of them, might be causing such situation: Low Amperage delivered by the Alternator, Bad Groundings on the Cluster / ECU wiring, and Shared power supply wire on the system. Kind Regards.
  19. Nice Video, thank you for Sharing it. At the beginning, there is a confusing metallic rattle sound, that doesn't seem to come from the car itself, sounded more like something loose on the Roof Rack, but nothing seems to be loose there... Kind Regards.
  20. The only other thing that needed replacement so far, were the Parking Brake Cables; because the Honduran rebuilder used the old, rusty covers from the Junk Yard ones, and the steel cable never slide smoothly into those. Despite that only one broke, I decided to change the Pair, you know: Left and Right, in order to have peace of mind, and long lasting parts there; otherwise the other old and rusty cable could fail soon. ► The Left one has this Part Nº 0K2A2-44-420E ► The Right one has this Part Nº 0K2A2-44-410F Here's a couple of photos taken with my cheapo cellphone, of the old Cables next to the new ones, at the aftermarket Store's parking lot: Now the Parking Brake Lever moves Smoothly, like never before. Besides that, everything has been Performing Flawlessly, so far, thanks to God. Kind Regards.
  21. 2½ years Report / Update on the Rear Disc Brakes' Swap! After more than two years and a half, and around 40K miles of hard and rude usage, including many daily short trips, and very long voyages across almost all the Central American countries, which is documented with Photos on this "KiaStein" Build thread; the rear Disc Brakes finally needed the brake Pads to be Changed for the first time. This is how the Rear Brake Pads looked like, after all this time and Mileage: That is Truly Amazing for this Sephia, when you compare such long lasting parts plus the Excellent braking Performance of the Rear Disc Brakes, to the Lousy rear Drum brakes' that it used to have, which needed rear shoe brakes every three months, and monthly adjustments.
  22. Look what I've Found!!! Browsing the internet, I found in Japan, a second gen Kia Sephia Toy, it looks almost identical to the Real Thing, except the mere engine, which looks like the Sorento's one; also the Wiper Blades' motor, is on the wrong side, but That's it. I'll Love to have one of those ... ♥ ... Kind Regards.
  23. As you can see here: Now the Center Console is Quiet, and looks like this:
