  1. I Really Like the Transformation... Could I Kindly Suggest just a New Paint Job? ... That Brat would Look Better in a Fresh Finnish, but still Looks Very Nice like that! Kind Regards.
  2. Thank you for your Kind Answer! That Sounds GREAT! ... ... I Really Like it soo Much! I`ll Love to See Pics of the Carb Setup and Videos of it in Order to Hear that Engine too... Great Built Subie For Sure! Kind Regards.
  3. Wow! ... ... it Looks Very interesting and for the Pictures you Posted, it looks Very Proffesional and Clean Job, Well Done; Congrats! Could I Ask: Which Disty you Used? ... `83 Ford? Here in my Country did came a Carbed + Disty Version of the EJ Engine from 1989 up to late 1993 in Earlier Legacies, but Those cars are Still Running in Good Shape and here, due to no Salt on the Roads, the Cars seems to Last Forever... the Dealer doesn`t have any replacement EJ Disty; so seems to be almost impossible to Find one Here, Unless some of those Carbed Legacies Crashes and then Sold as Parts or Something like That... Also: Could I Ask for a Picture of your Dual Carb Setup? ... I`ll Like to Know more about the Performance of that Engine and other Details as Long as you Can. Kind Regards!
  4. I`ve Done the LED and the HID Lights along Many other Things... but that two Could be a Great Idea, Specially if you Choose HID Lights Designed for the Headlamp and those have Low and High Beams with No Glare, to avoid Blind the incomin` Driver. Also HIDs are Better in Yellowish Colour. I Suggest to Look at my Thread about That, for More info: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=89661&page=8 I am not Sure about the Lights on your XT, but if yours Uses the Sealed Headlamp known as "Sealed Beam" (As the XT models that Came Here) There are Lots of Aftermarket Headlamp Replacements, with the Shape, Size and Fittings of a Sealed Beam but Designed to Hold the 9004 or 9007 Bulbs, Those even can Hold HID`s Bulbs too... See: http://www.racinglab.com/headsealbeam.html Those are Very Popular Here... Seems like e-bay got similar ones too: http://motors.shop.ebay.com/items/?_nkw=85-91+SUBARU+XT+XENON+EURO+HEADLIGHT+CONVERSION+KIT&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg= Kind Regards.
  5. Nice to Read That About your Coupe! I Really Believe that it is Very Beautyful, it Looks Soo Nice in the Pictures I Saw... Could I Ask you What do you Plan to do with it? Kind Regards.
  6. Once Again I Have to Say that Those were Available here too, in latin america ... ...
  7. No, 1990 is Not the Early ones Design I Was Writing About, so your Subie Must Not has that Pressure Activated Switch for the Fan, it Works Just by the Relays Already. 134a? ... Those Subies were Designed to Use Freon R12, So I imagine that you Already installed a Retrofit Kit for 134a ... isn`t it? Kind Regards.
  8. I Really Agree with This Idea: But Also You Said that when you Switched ON the Halogens, the Problem Started Again... So, in order to Help you: Could you Tell More about your Subie`s Halogens Wiring?
  9. Which year is your Subie? Early EA82 Models with A/C has a Problem with the Wiring for that Fan: it was originally Designed to Kick ON when the A/C System Gained some Pressure, Not Directly by the Relays, so Those Early Models (Like Mines) Got a Pressure Switch that Send the Power ON Signal to those Two Relays Behind the Strut Tower. The Pressure Switch is Located Nearby the Passenger`s Side Headlamp, Below / Behind it, on the A/C Pressure Line, it Looks like a Round Relay with Two Pin Connector with independent single Wires each one... (Near it there`s Another Pressure Switch but That is the "Sensor" that Stops the A/C when there`s No Pressure on the System, it Looks Different Due to a Rubber Base Attached to its Connector Wires.) ...I Suggest to Look at That Area. That Pressure Switch is so Simple, is just a Permanent ON Bypass that Works like This: its Two Wires are Always Connected (ON) and That Keep the Fan Always OFF. Just when the Pressure Raises Up with the A/C ON, that Switch Release internally the Bypass, that Lets the Fan to Kick ON. if you Leaved one -or the two- Plugs removed from that Pressure Switch, Your Fan will be Permantly ON untill you Remove the Key: That seems to be the Behaviour on your Subie. Subaru did an Adaptor to Correct that bad design, it Consist on Two Wires, Each one has Female Connectors in one Side and Male Connectors in the Other; that Pair of Wires Share one Wire from one to Another between them and is Designed to be Plugged Between the Original Relays Behind the Strut Tower and their Plugs. The Idea is to Bypass that Pressure Switch and Let the Relays Power ON the Fan Directly when you Power ON the A/C like Usual in other cars. So, I Suggest you to Check for unplugged Tiny Single Wire(s) to the Pressure Switch located Behind / Below the Passenger`s Headlamp in the A/C Pressure Line. If there`s an Unplugged One and you Notice that the Fan Comes OFF when its Plugged; if so, That is the Cause of your Problems. Let me Know the Results of that, in Order to Continue Helping you to Solve the Problem. Good Luck! Kind Regards.
  10. Absolutely Beautyful! ... ... Really Nice! I Really Like that Chocolate Lookin` Paintjob, Have you done any Videos Yet? Kind Regards.
  11. They Look Great! ... Could I Ask: No Rubbing... Even if the Subie is Loaded? Kind Regards.
  12. So, you are Trying to Run an SPFI EA82 Engine with the Intake & Carb + Disty from the Carbed EA82 Engine? I Believe that There are other Background Differences Between the Carbed and the SPFI Engines` Setup, for Example: The Fuel Pump and the ECU. Did you Changed that Too... if Everything Related to the Carb is AllRight, you must Know that a Bad Timing in the Timing Belts (For Example: a Theet Off) Could make the Pistons to Blow the Air/Fuel Mixture... Was the Newer Swapped Engine a Runner?
  13. Nice Looking For Sure! ... I Like it and I Noticed the Sticker... ...IRON MAIDEN !!!
  14. That Tundra is a Nice Lookin` Truck for Sure... ... Here People Dislike too much Tacomas Because their Weak Steering Parts, They trend to Break While Driving! but you must Know that our Roads are Pretty Bad...
  15. Thank you for your Kind Answer! ... ... Also for the Other Nice Pic... So you and your Family own over 15 Subies, isn`t it? ... ... Wow! ... That`s Great!
  16. Nice Brat! ... So Now You`ll Put there Chromed Tailpipe Ends?
  17. I Like That Subie, but Specially This Picture: Seems Like you Really Like Old School Subies! Could I Ask about the Tire Size? ... Are those 14" Pug Rims, isn`t it? Kind Regards.
  18. Absolutely True! A Li`l bit off-Topic but let me tell you that the Weirdest Engine that I Have Worked at, is a Friend`s Ford Taunus (Yes, you read it Right, Taunus with N -Not Taurus- The Taunus is German Ford) V4 Engine. See This Link, is Very interesting: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Taunus_V4_engine Sometimes I Wish I Could invent some sort of Gears to Swap instead those Timing Belts... but at Least the EA82 is a Non-interference Engine. Kind Regards.
  19. That is a 2nd Gen Subaru Rex... (a 3/4 Scale Justy, the 1st Gen were Rear Engined) ...Here we have Many of Them, they came even 4WD too... Nice Video, Thanks for Sharing! Kind Regards.
  20. First of All: Check the Oil Pressure Wire Comin` from the Oil Pump`s Sender Unit, for a Grounding... if the Wire Somehow is Grounding, the Gauge will go Up and Stay there... if it Stays there for a while due to a Grounding, then the Gauge`s electrical Resistance will get Damage and then the Gauge will Drop down Below the 0º when Engine`s Off... If There is no Grounding on the Wire, maybe the Sending Unit is Damaged, or there could be a Problem with the Oil Filter... But I Hardly Believe there could be a Problem with the Oil Pump that Could Manage it to Raise to High Oil Pressure While doin` Cruise Speeds... Damaged / Sucked Seals Maybe? Good Luck. Kind Regards.
  21. That Carb Looks A Li`l bit Confusing... For Example, above the Accelerator Plate there`s a piece that Looks like if it Had a Side Choke instead of the Front one... also it seems like Mounted over some Sort of an Adaptor Plate... Very Un-Hitachi... Hmm... Could you Post More Pics of it, from the Other Side and Without the Air Filter? Have you Seen any Name / Number on it? The Starter Seems to be in the Wrong Place Somehow... Oh my God! ... ... Post Links to See That!
