  1. Dear Connie: Let me Suggest you one last and simple Thing that Might Help you: Reinstall the Digi Dash Back in the Car, and Try Again. Yes I Know that could sound weird, but Sometimes the Cause of a Problem is not located on the Usual Spots, which have been covered already; so Try to connect the Digi Dash, maybe its wirings have Something to do with the Power Lost. I Really Like your Li`l Subie, I Wish I could live near of you to go Fix it... or Buy it from you! Good Luck! Kind Regards.
  2. Yes, if you Didn`t that, there could be the Place of the Closed Turn that I was Writing about...
  3. in Order to Help everyone with that same Downloadin` Problem, I Downloaded the File and Uploaded it to another Web Server, that is called "MediaFire" and is the Equivalent to Photobucket but to Share Files. So, the New Link is This: http://www.mediafire.com/file/4mgfwmeiv0g/weber_manual.pdf I Really Hope this can Help You! Kind Regards.
  4. two more: Kids! ... I Guess ... ... That`s the Idea Behind of the Subaru Exiga' date=' Like the Older Peugeot Wagons; Folding Seats in the Cargo Area.[/color'] That is Part of the Great things to have a Wagon instead of a Sedan...
  5. Could I Ask more information about that Pressure Plate? There is a Huge Difference Between 20 Years and 6 Months for a New Clutch Cable... I Still think that maybe there is some Closed Turn in some area of the Cable Placing...
  6. Really Nice Wagon, I Like how it Look in Blue Colour. The Impreza Radio can be installed there, you just need to do some Wiring. I Suggest to Run new Wires for each Speaker, `cos Older subies doesn`t have independent Ground wire for each one and some Newer Stereo units doesn`t work well with that Common Grounding. The only thing I`ll Change from that subie is the 3EAT Automatic trans for a 5 Speed Manual, leaving it FWD and that would give to your Subie a Li`l bit more Powerful feeling and use less Gasoline... Well... I have to Agree...
  7. It is not Normal for a new Clutch Cable to only Last Six Months ... ... it Took twenty Years to broke the Original one in my EA82. So I Suggest you to Check the Cable Position when you install another one, a Rubbing Part can make its life to be Shortened; usually a bad Turn near the cable Ends can make it Rub hard inside during each use. Or it wasn`t a New cable?
  8. Well... I am not Completely Sure, because seems like the Older EA engines have a Flow Direction between Heads, like the EA71 Diagram in the First Post. I Thought you was Asking about an EA82, because the Thread`s Title...
  9. No, it won`t as Far as I Know and I Tried that too... So, your EA82 Subie is Weberized, isn`t it? ... if So, I`ll Suggest you the Way I make it Work in my Weberized EA82 Subie. I Know and Understand the Important thing that is to Extract the Poisonous Acidic Crancase Fumes, but the Stock Carbed EA82 Subaru Air Filter Box Design doesn`t have the PCV Directly connected to the Head`s Hoses, so Doing that will make Your Subie`s PCV to Swallow Oil, Specially in Higher Mileage engines... When I "Weberized" my EA82, those Hoses where like this: the Two Head´s Hoses was Connected to a "T", then with another "T" I Connected the P.C.V. hose to Them, and then the Remainin´ Open end, to the Air Filter Box. So, when I Changed the Oil Pump, the Oil Pressure Reached Higher, and some Oil where Blew from the Head´s Hoses to the P.C.V. Valve... :-\ ... that was a Problem. So, the Solution that I Wanna Share, is this: To install an independent / Good \ Cheap air Filter just for the P.C.V. I Searched, and I Found this: The Vendor said that is Designed for a Dodge (Dakota? ... ...) it is Small, Nice, Metallic, with a Fiber Element (Non Replaceable) inside (Just as the Standard Air Filter´s are) and it has a 5/8" Hose inlet, the Exact Size to match the Subie´s P.C.V. Hose. and it just Cost 80.ºº Lempíras (Our Currency, equivalent to $ 4.ºº US Dollars) This is how it Looks installed: This is it Backwards, just to see its Openin´: (but I Leave it as the Above Picture) Also, a Li´l Problem Remained: How to do a Better Connection of the Head´s Hoses? ... ´cos the Air Filter Box´s Tiny plastic Plug was just 1/2" ... the Subie´s 5/8" Hoses fit too Loosen... and the Turn wasn´t Helpin´ ... So I Did This Solution: First, I Purchased some 5/8" Fittin´ and some 1/2" one, and a 90º Turn Coupler: Then, I Welded ´em Together with Brass: Then I Cutted 1/3 of the Wide, of a Washer, and I Tighted it to the Air Filter Box´s Base, it is Light Weighted, even if it seems to be Heavy Weighted. This is Another Perspective: And this is How the Whole Thing, ended up: So, Now the Heads are connected with a "T" right to the Air Filter´s Box, now with a Direct 5/8" Plug , and the P.C.V. has an independent Air Filter just for its own... Just similar as the Original Stock subaru Air filter Box was... My Subie Runs Great and Smooth with that config since 2006, No Problems so Far, and I Use it Very Much in Hard Driving Situations almost every day I Hope this Ideas can Help. Best Regards, Good Luck! - JesZeK
  10. Yes: That is not an EA82. Let me Explain it Very Respectfully: if you Carefully see how a Standard Hitachi Carbed EA82 has its PCV Hose connected and how Both Heads Hoses comes connected stock, you`ll Notice two things different from Earlier EA engines: First: Each Head`s 5/8" Hose goes plugged to a Pipe in the Air Filter Box that got its open end Nearby to the Carb`s Opening, inside the Air Filter Box. Second: The PCV 5/8" Hose comes connected to a "T" that has one 5/8" Out and one 5/16" Out. The 5/8" Hose Out goes to a small Box placed at one side of the Air filter Box (Facing the Battery Side) that has a Rubber Flap placed Outside of its Opening, which face the inside of the Air filter Box, in front of the Filter Element. The 5/16" Hose goes to a Small place aside the Said Box Opening, where is Placed a Tiny Squared Air Filter Element just for the PCV. That PCV Hook up Works like This: When the PCV "Sucks" air, it will Suck it from around the Air Filter Element thru its own mini Element only, using the 5/16" Hose down to the "T" because the Rubber Flap Placed outside the Box (where the Other Hose from the "T" Goes) Can Not Move inside to that Box and then, when the PCV "Sucks" the Rubber flap Close that Box`s Opening ... but when the PCV "Blows" the Rubber Flap on the Box can move Outside easily and let the PCV Blows thru the 5/8" Hose across the Box`s Opening... So, seeing that Config, seems like the Carbed EA82`s PCV Config is Different from Older Models, (Well: At Least the Californian Version) That`s Why I Wrote that the Diagram in that Picture Does Not Belong to a Standard Hitachi Carbed EA82. I Believe it is from a EA71. Kind Regards.
  11. Really Good Work! ... Nice Subie! Yes, I Agree! I will Like to Know more about Those Nice Seats, I Really Like `em, Could I Ask Which model did they came From? Thank You, Kind Regards.
  12. Loyales with EA82T Engines are Fast Cars, but I Have to Agree with This: So I Just want to write a Suggestion: Maybe their Engines are Worthless but Check the Rest of the Car, `cos it can be a Great Runner with an EJ Swap... ...Yes, the Famous "EJ it" Suggestion... ... Kind Regards.
  13. Well... by Seeing This Picture of my Subie`s Shifter: You`ll Notice that it is Very Short! I`ve Shortened it Long Time Ago and I Like the "Digital" Stick Feelin` ... it is Too Short that I even can Hyde it under my BaseBall Cap! ... So it wasn`t much Problem but... ...as I Explained: it was my Sister ...
  14. I Came across that Problem Before: You must Change the Whole Part -the control Arm- that Holds the Bushing, `cos it is Part of it. That`s Why you Couldn`t find it as Replacement Part. Kind Regards.
  15. I`ve Done That Just Rewiring the Marker Lights with the Bumper`s Lights Wires. it Works Awesome! Kind Regards.
  16. I Believe that Beside to Drive in Crazy Roads across Crazy Old Wooden Bridges and within Crazy Traffic... The Craziest Thing I`ve Done was in Year 1996: Reachin` Midnight of one Saturday, my Sister called me asking desperately for Help; She and her Friends where Lost in the Middle of Nowhere: Coming Back from a Friend`s Wedding and the Minivan that they was Driving lost the Alternator`s Belt, so Battery drained out and the vehicle Stopped. I Took my EA82 Wagon and Drove around 90 Miles in a Foggy / Light Rainy Night... well at Least I did Bring my "Iron Maiden" CD`s Then After Reachin` the Place, I Noticed Two Things: They were Nine People, all Girls and I Hadn`t any Replacement Belts nor Jumper Cables... not even a Rope to Pull that Van with my Subie... So, we Moved the Minivan to a Road`s Side and I Bring Back with me ALL THE GIRLS! Could you Imagine a Loyale Wagon Full with Nine Girls + Me Driving? Next to me Sat two Girls: one in the Passenger`s Seat and another one (My Sister) next to Me, Between Both front Seats; then in the Rear Seat Four Girls and in the Cargo Area another Three... That was a Craze Night for Sure! ... ... They Didn`t stop Making Jokes all the Trip Back while I Was Watchin` carefully if there was a Police Patrol... The Funniest Part was the Gas Station Stop: by That time we already covered 70% of the Road Back and was around the 8:00 AM (I was Driving Slowly, not only for the Situation, but for the Overload too) and in the Next car aside the Fuel Pump, a Young teenager boy was Watching Us with his Mouth Wide Open seeing my Subie & the Girls while I was Filling it with Gasoline... then he Yelled at me: All those Brides are Yours? ... ... After several Minutes of LOL, the Non-stop Jokes Started again... Sorry, No Pictures but it was a Funny Crazy thing done with my Subie for Sure. Kind Regards.
  17. I Have to Agree with That. So I have a Suggestion that might Help you and it is Pretty Easy: First: Use fine Sandpaper in the intake`s and in the Adaptor Plate`s Base, to Remove Dirt. Then: Spread a Layer of Shellac Gasket Compound in Both Sides of Both Gaskets: The one Between the Adaptor Plate & Intake and the one Between the Adaptor Plate & Carb. (Shellac Resists Gasoline & Oil, avoid the Use of Silicones or other Products There) Let the Shellac to Dry for a While Before Putting all Together Back again. And That`s it! ... I Believe that it will Work Fine and Solve your Leakin` Problems; it also Helps to Solve Vacuum Leaking Related Problems. This is a Link to a Great Shellac Product: http://automotive.hardwarestore.com/90-558-gasket-sealer/indian-head-shellac-gasket-compound-613357.aspx Kind Regards.
  18. No, Not the Struts, Just the Coil Springs. Too Late to Take Pictures of the Strut Damage this Time, but you can Figure out Seeing the Above Posted (Post Nº 1) Link`s Thread, where I Had posted few Pics... Kind Regards.
  19. Ooh! ... it Explains it All! I Had Similar Problems, but the Cause of Burnin` Oil was the 5/8" Hoses that Comes from each Valve Covers: They Blew Oil at Higher RPM`s ... I Just Changed their Config to Avoid them to Bring Oil to the PCV and no Problems So Far... Good Luck!
  20. That`s a Beautiful Subie For Sure... Lookin` Good on Five Lug Setup. So, Greater Offset could make the Tire to Rub the Car`s Body, isn`t it?
  21. Me Too... I Know that Feelin` ... That was the Problem with my Weberized Subie... I Had Mixed Rims, so I Did the Same that the Lady Did until I Changed the Bolt Pattern and Obtained a Whole Set of Rims. Very Nice Subie, Maybe the Engine is not Damaged After All... Good Luck!
  22. I Like That Video! ... Thank you for Sharing. So sad, but the World Rally Championship will never be the Same without Subaru... I Decided to stop Watching it at All... Never Again, except if Subaru Race there Again...
  23. I Believe that -maybe- there was a Screw in that Place, but in order to Help you in a Better Way, I Kindly Suggest you to Post Pictures of that Area here. Kind Regards.
