  1. Congratulations! ... Nice Find! ... it Looks So Good!!!
  2. Now I Understand! ... Thank you for your Kind Answer! I Have seen very Few Turbo EA82`s here...
  3. Please, excuse my ignorance... but let me Ask: What is the Idea / Purposses of a Welded Diff and what are the Advantages? I Believe it is intended for Off Road use, isn`t it?
  4. Welcome! if your Subie is Carbureted, I Believe it has Problems with a Stickin` Choke. Could you give more Details of your Subie? ... Pics?
  5. Why? ... Maybe all those problems can be Fixed in a Pair of Weekends, or So...
  6. Excuse me, Could I Ask from Which Subie Model came that Exhaust? is that a Modded Engine Out without the "Y"?
  7. I Really Will Love to Own one of those Nice T-Shirts in Black with Silver or White Drawing... about the Girl, well... I Like it, my Wife must have to accustom to That ... ... No Problem, I Believe that Design is Cool! but I Have one Suggestion and one Problem: Suggestion: I`ll Love to Have a Deep Blue T-Shirt with the USMB Logo in White, that Design is Cool too! Problem: No enough money for Now... So I am Waiting to obtain enough soon... I`m Trying to Sell some Custom Wooden Speakers` Enclosures that I Made...
  8. Yes, Choke can be Swapped Easily, but First I Suggest you to do a Simple Test to Verify if it is the Choke itself or the Wirings: First Check if the Choke Mechanism is Moving Freely, then Unplug the Stock Wire and use a Direct Wire from the Battery to the Choke, Check if it Moves... if So, Maybe the Choke isn`t Receiving Enough Power to Move. Kind Regards.
  9. When you Put back together the Parts, I Suggest you to Avoid the Use of Silicone or other kinds of Gasket Maker Stuff there... Just use the Better Head Gaskets you can Obtain in a Clean Surfaces. Also some Silicones can Damage Aluminium... the Cooper Type seems to be the Better Choice but in Other Places than Head Gaskets. Kind Regards.
  10. Long time Ago, I saw an EA82 sedan that was of a Friend`s Boss, that has the Same Problem... When he obtained the new Lifters, they was so Soft to the Hands` Pressure, they must be Harder; so I Thought that they needed more Pressure to Somehow "Charge" Them... I am not sure how to Explain it in English... So we Changed the Engine`s Oil (he used 20W-50) for Thinner one (Just one Time, to Test) we used 10W-30 and had the Engine to Warm Up, then we Drove it Several Miles (Around 50) in second and Third Gear, at Higher RPM`s (Around 4K ~ 5K) While the Oil Pressure Raised Up and had Maintain like That for several Miles, the TOD (Tick of Death) Sound, trend to fade slowly... after a week of driving in the city like that, the Owner switched back to the 20W-50 Oil and TOD is Almost Gone, he said that sometimes it comes back when is Cold, but fades away while driving and when engine warms up. Maybe that idea can Help you. Kind Regards!
  11. That is Just in the USA Market... here are Still Available the EJ15, EJ16 and EJ18 in the imprezas... This is a Poor Quality Picture, taken with my CellPhone, but you can see the 1.6 in the Back of this new impreza: (and a Nice Legacy Behind) For Example, here a 2000 year impreza with EJ15: http://www.todoautos.com.pe/f49/subaru-impresa-ej15-51409.html and a EJ16 Legacy: http://www.todoautos.com.pe/f49/vendo-subaru-legacy-1600cc-50358.html
  12. So... Nobody Tried the Valve Medic Additive? ... ... I am Asking, `cos a Friend of mine gave me one to me as a Gift... and I am Afraid to Pour it in any of my Cars...
  13. Pictures I`ve Taken from one of those That I`ve Helped to Repair: ...Excuse me for the Low Picture Quality, I Just Had my Cellphone`s Camera...
  14. Could you Post Pics of it here, Please? ... Thanx!
  15. I know that you are About to Fix that Auto Tranny... but Could I Ask (Just Curious) Why you didn`t Swap there a Manual Tranny instead? ... Don`t you Like Manuals or you needed the Automatic? Kind Regards!
  16. That is Good Idea! But I Didn`t That... I Just Closed the Return Line and haven`t any issues so Far...
  17. That was for the USA Market only. Not only that Areas... here in Latin America, the Specs are Widely Different too. I Believe that some of the Differences are related to the USA Laws, like the Pollution Controls, etc... For Example, last year for Subaru Carbed models in USA was 1988 with the EA Engines, but here came Carbed models of the Legacy untill 1994 with EJ Engines... Here are Many of Them... I Really don`t Like the Raised Roof... Also the EA71 and EA81 where available in Early Nineties in Loyales...
  18. Yes, I Believe You! ... I Have 205/60 R13" with the Aftermarket Rims that goes a Li`l Outside the Body and the Driveability Became very much Better than Never... Also, Your Subie Looks Good with the Rear Part Raising Higher than the Front, but I Believe that if you Raise a Li`l Bit the Front (not to Equal the Rear but to give it a Less inclination) it will be Nicer! Kind Regards!
  19. When I Readed this: I was almost sure that your ignition Coil was Bad ... I Suggest you to Try that Coil in Another engine, Just to be Sure that it is really bad or if it is Just Non-Workin` with the Brat. Kind Regards!
  20. You can Trust that Part! Let me Tell you that Maybe the Problems of your EA82 (isn`t it?) Must be not too Hard to Fix... My EA82 Wagon was Burning Oil at Around 220K Too, but I Opened the Engine and Found just Worn Valves` Seals (Some sort of Plastic O-Rings that goes on the Heads) which are very Cheap; I Just Changed those Valves` Seals (and Head Gaskets) and the Engine Stopped Burnin` Oil, Now it is Over 260K Runnin` Like a Champ! Also I Did the Weber Swap Too... if you Already Have a Nice New Weber in a Box, I Suggest you to Fix the Oil Burnin` issue in your Engine and Swap the Weber on it! ... And the Clutch isn`t Hard to Do Too... I Believe that the Only thing you Need is Motivation! ... Think about to Have your Subie Runnin` Nice Again is just Two Weekends Ahead! ... One Weekend to Fix the Clutch and the Other one to Reseal the Engine and Swap the Weber! You can Find enough info about how to do That Here, Plus the Great Friendship! ... ... maybe someone who Lives Near your Home can go there to Help you! Also if you Save your Subie, You`ll Save Money from Buying another one, plus the Satisfaction of the "Do-it-Yourself" Success Repairing your own car... Best Regards!
  21. This is an Example of an Honduras Made RWD Loyale Sedan, Looks So Clean and Stock untill you see Right Behind / Under the Car and see the Rigid Diff + the Leaf Suspension: Here People does some Strange Swaps... Like the Toyota 22R Powered Loyale... or the Datsun Powered Gen1 Brat RWD... The Bratsun!
  22. Also you can Swap there Better Coil Springs... I Use the Front ones from a Ford Tempo in Both my Wagons, is the Same thick and Size than the Subie`s, but plus two more Turns... Works Great!
