  1. I Really Like that "Plenty of Subarus" Enviroment! ... ... Maybe if I Could, I will had some sort like That; but Here Used Cars are Very Expensive!
  2. Also if it was some sort Like That when you Stopped it, I Suggest to Take that Engine Out, Remove the Heads to Change the Head Gaskets and there you can Clean the Oil Passages, maybe to Change the Oil Pump too is good Idea. Radiator Must need Service... Coolant trend to Crystalize if it Doesn`t move / Warm for long time, Clogging it. Also I Suggest to Change Spark Plugs and Gearbox / Diff Oils. Good Luck! ... Post Pics here as Long as you Can! Kind Regards.
  3. I Like that Pic! ... ... I Found this Picture and Thought that I Have to Share it: One of my Happiest Moments, When I Just Finished the Weber Swap!
  4. Pizza Hut! if Someone Delivers Pizza in such a Beautiful Subie Like That and comes with one Pizza to my Home... We will end Talking about Subies all Night! That`s Nice!!! Also the Cherry Red Paint Job in the Royal Crown`s Hatch Looks Good, I just want to Suggest him that I Believe that the Rear Hit in the Hatch`s Door Must be Fixed before Painting, or well: After and Repaint if its Already Done, `cos it Ruins all the Car`s Looking... Shiny New Paint over Hits Doesn`t look Nice, in my Humble Opinion. And I Treat my Wagons Like Porsches Too! Kind Regards!
  5. Congratulations!!! ... ... Yes Videos & Pics will be Great!
  6. Due to my Experince here, Repairin` some Frends` Cars and Sharing Experiences, let me Tell you that I Suggest to Avoid the Toyota Tacoma, `cos it has a very Bad Design in Steering Parts, they`re too Thin and Trend to Break easily! ... ... Also their V6 Swallows too much Gas... The New HiLux is even Worse! ... Older -early nineties- HiLux would be Stronger & Better, but V6 automatic Swallows too much Gas... I Believe the 22R could Handle your Towing needs, but I`m not Sure about the Load... Ford Rangers are Great Idea... they Runs Smooth and are very easy to Drive, it even got an Special front Suspension Mechanism that makes the car to incline several Degrees from side to side when you turn the Steerin` wheel, That`s Amazing! and Adds much more Safety to Drive, it Feels like a Plane. The only Trouble that rangers has is the Plastic Radiators, They`re easy to got a Crack and had to be Changed to a Better one... (Metallic) ...and the Heather core got to fail too... it Runs Soo Good, the only thing I Don`t Like from Rangers is the Blind Points it Has... Maybe I am Accustomed to my Loyale Wagons ... ... Plenty of Glass & Visibility! Other Options to Consider is the F-150 Truck and the RAM 1500... Don`t you Like Diesel? Kind Regards.
  7. That makes Sense... Nice Lookin` Engine! ... ... I Like it!
  8. Then, go H.I.D. Those H.I.D. will Suck very Less Power than Halogens, while Bring Far more Power Output. I Have H.I.D. in Stock Headlamps, but those are Special with Low and Hight Beams moving Bulb, to avoid Blind the incoming Traffic; but there are H.I.D. Shaped like Fog Lamps that can be installed wherever you may Want.
  9. Here you can Download a .pdf file wich is a sales Brochure for the Diesel impreza: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/92454-are-we-allowed-to-share-files-here/ Kind Regards.
  10. Those 13" are easy to Find Here... I Believe They`re Hard to Find there, `cos Lots of People are Runnin` Bigger Rims, like 15" or 16" also new Vehicles usually came with Bigger than 13" Rims. Try: http://www.neworusedcars.org/Washington/Kelso_98626/Tires.php People here Preffer the 13" `cos they`re Beefy and can Handle better our Horrible Roads Plenty of Potholes, and Potholes inside the Potholes...
  11. This: is a Beautiful Picture, Awesome Lookin` Subie! ... I Like it! Well... Why do you need That Battery & Relocation? ... My EA82 Wagon have a 100 Amps Battery Right in the Stock Place (100 Amps but in the Standard Size) seems like 100 Amps is Enough for it, Powering the HID Lights, Halogens, Aftermarket Stereo plus a Trunk Mounted "Bazooka" (That`s How we call here to a Cylinder Shaped Box, containing 12" Woofers and the Amplificator Unit inside) also everything is Electric (Power Windows, Mirrors, Locks... ) even the A/C... I Believe my Alternator is Taking the Hardest Work...
  12. Well... it Might be, I Don`t Know... I Just Noticed by my Experience, that the People who leaves an Unrestricted Exhaust it their Cars -usually a Ricer Stuff- their engines trend to have Rough idle as Time passes by, driving in such Condition... and the Exhaust Valves Fail to seal Properly sooner than the intake ones; but I just saw this Behaviour on Hondas and Mitsubish¡ts... So I Don`t Believe that is a Myth at all... I Don`t want to Hijack the Thread but maybe is good idea to Share some knowledge about that, Why did you say that Backpressure is a Myth?
  13. How Could it Be? ... No "Y" Pipe? ... That Means Two independent Exhaust Pipes, or no pipes? My EA82 has an Open -without the Restrictive Filter- "Y" Pipe, No Cat and all the Pipe is 2" ... and instead of Muffler, It Has an Empty Box with the shape of a muffler, filled with industrial Fiberglass to silence the Noise without being too Restrictive. It gives the Basic Backpressure needed for the Engine. But the Backpressure can go too Low without Any restriction in the Exhaust, isn`t it?
  14. Now, I Really Believe that This: Could be the Right Answer. To Test that, I Suggest you a Simple idea: Remove the Wires from the Electric fuel Pump and Run a Direct Wires from the Battery to it, to keep it Pumping; Then Start your Subie... if the Engine Stays Runnin` without Stop, That`s the Problem and the Proper Solution could be Found easily. Good Luck!
  15. I Used Rustoleum in some Friend`s Car with Great Results, I Believe that Rustoleum have a Matte Black Spray.
  16. Welcome! Sounds to me Like an Stickin` Float... Maybe it is Drowning in Fuel, did you Smell Gasoline when it Happens? I Believe that your Weber Got Dirty, Dirt can Clog the internal Passages, so I Suggest you to Take it out and Clean it, then Carefully Check the Float Level. Good Luck!
  17. That is a Beautyful impreza Coupe For Sure! ... ... I Like it!
  18. Yes! ... I Believe those are that Soft Lines. Maybe you can Post Pics of your Brat... the Dash issue, I had Problems with my `69 Mercury`s dash, it was Soo Damaged due to Age, Sun, etc... So I Made a Custom Wooden one... Maybe that idea could Help. Kind Regards!
  19. I have seen Some People install it Backwards... in EA82`s with Power Steerin` Option, the Choke hits the Power Steerin` Pump. In my EA82 Wagon I Just Removed the Choke and no Problem with that due to Our Caribbean Climates here... So, if you Live in Cool Climates Area, maybe is Better Idea to install it Backwards, or could it be done a Manual Choke Swap? Good Luck!
  20. I Have never seen a Boot that Comes in Two Halves! ... ... Sounds like a Bad Idea, or it might Work just as Temporary Fix for a While...
  21. That`s a Nice & Super Clean Lookin` impreza! ... ... I Like it! Your Other Subies are Nice Lookin` too! What you wanna do with the Brat?
  22. Be Specially Carefull with the High Pressure Rubber Hoses that brings the Fluid from the Body`s Pipes to the Cylinders... at that Age, they usually crack & Fail easy, so I Suggest that if you found them Worn, install New ones... they Worth it. Good Luck!
  23. Not Only Timin` Advance... they Work better with a More Powerful ignition Coil than Stock... I have my Weberized EA82 with an Accel Superstock Coil and Timing at Around 25º without pinging. Kind Regards!
