Something interesting
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to The Dude Abides's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Ben: I think that if it´s not too bad, you can choose to put there a layer coat of Clear Silicone, under the Seal, to reinforce it. Good Luck! -
I think the EJ25...

Experience with Sea Foam?
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to nathan.chase's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I don´t have an Answer, but... I have had some Carb Dirt on my Weberized EA82. I´ve Tryed pouring almost every chemical additive to the Gas Tank (Carb Cleaners) and Spray carb cleaner directly to the Carb... The Trouble only decreases to almost dissappear, but then it comes again... :-\ ...a "Drown" carb on Higher Rpm´s at full throttle... I Hate that! I was thinkin´ about to use a Seafoam can just to Clean the Carb... but I´m not sure How to Use it, ´cos I really don´t have the spare Time now to Take the Weber out and Learn exactly how to dissasemble it / clean it \ reassemble it... So, this thread will be so Helpful for me too! -
Old Gen logo, true to the stars
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to Gloyale's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Well... I just wanna say that it is a Nice Tatoo... I Never think about Tatoos, but that´s the one I like more of all! I think there´s only six stars on the logo, due to the fact that they symbol the six meaning companies that came partners to raise FHI. (First one was Nakajima, in 1917, I think...) -
A Weber success story.

I Agree!... ...Absolutely!!! -
Oh!, Thank you Connie for your Kind & Nice Words! ... I Really Appreciate that! I Agree! ... (I sometimes Help People who Own Subarus And other Brands too, Recently I repaired a friend´s "Samsung" SM3 Car from a clutch problem... Again! :-\ ... I Hate that system ) there´s a big Difference... I Hope that too, I really want my Subies to Last "Forever" ... even if Forever means just my Life for me... Then... Well... My Dad has like Brand New his 1969 Mercury Comet (Musclecar) Coupe, he Owns it since that year! I think that Livin´ too many Years with a Car, makes it to Become a Part of the Family, Like Brothers or Somethin´ Alike, Specially if you Like that Car, and Subarus had proven that they can Gain our Hearts!

EA82 belts tensioners
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to Caboobaroo's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Some about Timin´ Belt Tensioners, maybe it can Help: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=75411 Pics at the Post Nº 15... Good Luck! -
Oh, Pics Please!!! Well... I was Writin´ about that removin´ a six Cyl engine for a 4 cyl always is some sort of "Downgrading"... but I understand that the EJ series are very High Performance engines, and I think that I can remove the Weberized EA82 from my White Wagon, swappin´ it for a EJ25 -actually it is one of my "Dream Projects" for the Future- but both are 4 Cyl ones. Please, don´t misunderstood me, I think a EJ engined XT is a good Idea, but a EJ engined XT6... is like "Loose the Magical" from the SIX Cyl that makes the XT6, to be an XT6. Anyhow, a Subie will be a Subie, no matter it´s Subie Engine.
