How many converts here?
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to ezapar's topic in Non Soob Cars and Bikes Discussion
Mmmm... Again: Mmmm... Well... Here in my Country, you are not obligated to insure any car, only if you want to... And the fees for old cars are Cheapo! Also: it is Possible to Bring "Solid Axles" (just in the Back - and even convert it to a RWD only) to a Subaru... here I saw two EA81 carryng 1983 (+/-) Toyota Corolla Rear Diff`s... but with "Solid Axles" they loose the "Fun" :-\ Other Thing: Your Toyotas are Nice!!! ... but I personally Don`t like the Idea of Changin` a Subaru for a Toyota... Maybe keep `em Both! -
its always something with this @%^*@$^!^@%

It has been Said the most important About, but I wanna Ask you if you could post here Pics of it, as long as is Possible, to give you a Better Value of its Cost. Anyway, Loyale Wagons are my Subaru Favourites That`s why I got Two!!! ... They`re Really GREAT Cars! Good Luck! -
Well... I knew that. The Point that I was Tryin` to Suggest, is that I think that maybe the Thermostat is Rusted / Clogged \ Damaged and it became hard to Open, so Maybe is Good Idea to Check it and Replace it if Needed.

Thank you for your Kind Words! ... I Appreciate them!!! (I Always think that if I know how to do something better, or I discover some way to Improve things, I Shall Share it with People who can Use it too... ) Honduran! ... it Sounds Nice! ... People call to Us (the Hondurans) "Catráchos" (... it is a Long Story related to a Honduran Liberty Troops, leaded by one Honduran Soldier, who`s Last Name was "Xatrúch" ...) So maybe "catrácho" can be Used Too! Thank You!!! ... Maybe Someday, Someway... -
Don`t Forget About the Thermostat... I Personally don`t Like `em, I Live in the Tropics, so I removed it in Both my Subies with Great Results! `cos a Cooler Runnin` engine feels more Powerful. I Suggest you to check your Engine`s Thermostat. Good Luck!

Me Too!!! I Agree, Absolutely! Yes, it works, except if your car is Parked near other cars... :-\ ...it becomes pretty Hard. Let me tell you a short Story: in 1987, all my Family and I, where in a trip to the Pacific`s Ocean Coast of our Country (Choluteca City) in our 1969 Mercury Comet, when the Throtle Cable did broke... I Remember dad did tie a tiny rope directly to the Carb`s Accelerator Plate, and Did Drove it near 150 Kms acceleratin` with his Left Hand! I was a Child then, but that is one of the huge amount of Mechanical nice adventures I got, and I Think that almost everyone here must got those kind of rememberings. -

Thank you Emily! Nice Idea! Well... Great News! ... I´ve Repaired my EA82 Subie, and the "Horrible Grindin´ Noise" is Gone!!! Last Saturday, I removed the Timin´ Belts Cover (And Almost Everythin´ between ´em and my Hands! ) and Discovered a Broken Ball Bearin´ on the Fixed Roller from the Driver´s Side Belt. it was Soo Damaged, and it is Different than the Springed Ones, ´cos it´s fixed and the Bearin´ is part of the Structure, it is Impossible to Just "Change" the inner Ball Bearin´ So, I Obtained from the Dealer the new One, and my Road Warrior is Roarin´ Again! Excuse me for not post pics yet, My PC´s Hard Disk is Givin´ me Head Aches too ... ...now the Pics I´ve taked are unavaliable, ´till I fix that PC up! Soon I´ll post ´em Here! ... When I Repair my PC My Friends always are tellin´ me, that I am Always Repairin´ Subies or PC s Thanx for Everyone who Posted Here, I Appreciate that! Thanx for your Kind Help!!! Best Regards. JesZeK

Its Buckys Turn..???s
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to Bucky92's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
That`s Soo Sad ... ... But Really, many of the Older U.S.A. Vehicles, gets here. I know many companies that buy 'em from there, even by internet! -
For now, and being "Jailed" on my Job`s office, I just called by Phone to the Dealer`s Parts Shop, and the vendor said that they`re two Diffrent Tensioner Pulleys for the EA82 Engine! one Shorter... is That True? Also, the Shorter one cost Around L 1000.ºº Lempíras (Our Currency, are around 20 per US Dollar, so is around $ 50.ºº) and the Larger one cost around Twice that Price... What do you Think `bout? I think there should be a Mistake... Maybe the Larger or the Shorter one not belongs to a EA series Engine... Even that, that price is too High for me... :-\ ... so if the pulley isn`t broken, I`ll Change only the inner Ball Bearin`... Again. and Again, Wish me Luck!

Thank you all for your Kind Replies with Nice & Usefull Ideas, if you got more Ideas, they`re Welcome! -
