Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to 1985GLWAGON's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Does Anyone have Pics of the Resistor Pack? ... if so, I´ll Love to see ´em! -
Or the Neck! ... Just for Info, Long time Ago, I went to a Job Interview, I was Wearin´ a Tie when the Old Craptachi carb did loose the Idle... My subie was Dyin´ at any Traffic Lights (Semaphores) so, I pulled it aside on the Street, and with a Screwdriver I was Tryin´ to Adjust Idle to a Higher Rpm´s ... my Tie went to the Belts and inmediately did "Suck" my Head soo fast... ... I just Grabbed the Tie untill the Pulleys & the Belts did cutted it... What a Scary Situation... and Very Ridiculous too... :-\ Other Cars´ People was Laughin´ and I Was soo Greasy, with a Half Tie... Well... I Didn´t Have much time, so I Just Removed my Tie and went to That Interview like that... Greasy... Be Careful ALWAYS you work near to a Runnin´ Engine.

Nice Pictures Gal, Thanx! I went to israel back in the 80´s ... is a Nice Country, and Lots of Subarus There... I remember trips in a Opel Azcona, and the Diesel Mercedes Limosine Taxis... Why the Citröen Emblem? ... ... That Subie has anythin´ from Citröen? -
Diamond Edition is a Paint Scheme too... and some few li´l Things like Decals, Radio with Cassette Player, etc... as Far as I Know... Thanx for Sharin´ your Pictures! ... Nice Hatch!

I did get rid of that Problem, by Cleanin´ the Carbon Deposits on the Engine. to do that, at Normal engine operatin´ temps, I remove the Air Filter Box, and with engine at around 2,500 Rpm´s I let a one or two ounces of Clean Drinkable Water go right to the Carb. The Engine will Reduce its Rpm´s as it Makes a Cloud of black Smoke on the Exhaust!... Let engine return to 2,500 Rpm´s and let go Same amount of Water... and so on as the Cloud becomes Whiter. Good Luck!

Problem : Serious Hesitation Issue!
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to Steveman09's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Yes, I Suggest the NGK´s BPR6EY11. (The ones with the "Y" Cuted Electrode) Also I think that maybe you have not only a Dirty Fuel Tank \ Fuel Filter ... Maybe the Return Line / Vent Line are misplaced or bad plugged... -
Great Things Could Happen! Thanx for the Invitation!... but Airplane´s Tickets are very expensive here... :-\ ...I Sent my Sister to North Carlina last december, and I did ran out of money... She came back and did broke my Camera there... Well... I wanna Ask you if you can Upload here Pictures of your Subie´s Progress! ... That will be Great! Good Luck!

I Suggest you to Change those Belts for ones a Tiny Bit Shorter... it did Work for my Subies. I Know That Your Jeep isn´t a Subie, but Shorter Belts Prevents from get ´em Loose too Easy. Shorter Belts are more Difficult to install Too... I Had to use a Screwdriver, Forcin´ a Li´l Bit the Belt to Slip the Pulleys... Along with That, I Use Security Lockin´ Washers on the Adjustment Pulley. I Dunno if it can be Applied to a Different Belt Systems, such as the Wider ones, but I Hope this Idea should Help you.

Long time Ago I wanted to install a Stereo CD Player + Radio unit on both my Subaru Wagons, the ER27 (H6 2.7) and the EA82 ("BumbleBeast") and, since the Newer Stereo Units are Larger than the Old Ones, they'll come outside around one or two inches from the Dash, Also they will Stay Directly in front very near of the Shifter Knob, and that is a Problem, especially when shifting fast to third gear. So, I did This Idea: it is a Wooden Frame, Cutted in a 45º Angle to make the Look of a Original Mounting, in that Way, nobody notices the 2 inches elongation outside the dashboard. I Painted it to mate the Dashboard's Original Colour. And I did Cut Down the Shifter Too! ... ... Not only for the Looks, it has many advantages, like shorter shifting travels, but the main reason was to Avoid Hitting the Stereo Unit while doin' a "Fast & Furious" kind of Shifting, especially to Third Gear ... ... also to Avoid Hitting the Passenger's Knee ... ... I Was About to Finish a Drawing explaining the Wiring Diagram, because I changed the Stock plug and added a Custom Plug while separated the Speakers' ground (Newer units needs fully independent wires) but I Found that the wiring is already very Good Explained here, in this same section of the USMB by another member, so I only will tell you this tips: Don't forget the Shared Ground for Both Left Speakers, and the Other Side's Shared ground for both Right Speakers; you must rewire them to independent ground on each Speaker, in order to avoid problems with the built-in Amplifier. As far as I know, each Speaker comes wired independently from factory, but there is a place behind the Glove Box, on the Wiring Harness, where the Factory merged the Grounds for each side. You can track down the point and rewire the part from the New Stereo's Plug to the Wiring Harness. Kind Regards.

Contemplating a new weber carb...
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to blacklabel's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
if I Press the Gas Pedal too much to the Bottom, or I Run at Very High RPM´s, it will Suck more Fuel, but at Lower RPM´s it makes my Subie even more Economic to Drive than it was stock. With the Weber it Does Cruise Speed with less Gas. -
I Love to Work in my Subarus Too... and I Helped many People who Own Subarus (And other Brands too... Today I Helped a Friend´s Friend to Repair the Clutch of a "Samsung" SM3 Car) So, if I could help you in Any Way, Maybe with Ideas, Just Ask me. Good Luck!

Converting my Loyale Wagon to Electric?
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to Davalos's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
About the Ideas to Make any car Electric... Do you Know ´bout Nicholas Tesla? The Scientific that did Invented the Radio? (it Wasn´t Marconi, Now that trouble was Solved at the Justice) and did Invented the use of Altern Current (A/C) etc... Well, he was Talkin´ about a Way to Make a "Never Endin´ Source of Energy" And he Istalled Electric Motors on his Pierce-Arrow car... That Still are Workin´ Today. Well... Just for Info, there´s a Company Actually Developin´ Free Energy Today, Visit: http://www.steorn.net/orbo/ For More info ´bout Tesla´s Electric Car, visit: http://www.evworld.com/article.cfm?storyid=1062 http://www.keelynet.com/energy/teslcar.htm And http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/1357035/posts -
