  1. I use Motul Minerally Based Oil 20W-50 All the Time, (´cos here in the Tropics the Temps we got are Between 5º C to 35º C ) on Both my Subies and there are no Problem, Works Great!
  2. You meanin´ Just the Engine Year, isn´t it? Because the "Loyale" Shaped EA82 Subaru, was made since 1981 in Japan, Along with the EA81... The same happens when Subaru introduced the Legacy in 1989, the Loyale was along with i in Production untill 1994... See this Image from the Official Web Site History:
  3. I Suggest to Go Weber, it´s Simplier and Far Away Better than the Craptachi Carb that came Stock... I was Wonderin´ if a Dual Webers 32/36 Will be a Great idea, or if only with That, the Engine will Become a Huge Gas Eater? Well... I suggest go Weber. Good Luck!
  4. Gotta Love that Video! What is a 3" TBE.? What is PINKS?
  5. Yes, I hate that Third Video too... Me Too... I invite you to see the Awesome Video "Subaru Vs Others" in the Fouth Page of This Thread: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=53886&page=4 Any Comments will be Welcome!
  6. Check this Out!: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=55372 Good Luck!
  7. I Really Thank You Soo Much your Help! ... I´ll Search for Dragonsteel on Cardomain (I´m There too, as "JesZeK" ) Also, I´ll Love to see Pics of the Dashboard´s Back and some tips to do the L.E.D. Conversion. Thank you! Well... in the Greener Dash, I don´t Think so... but in the Yellow, I hope that there´s no Tint at all, or that it is less than in the Greener ones, ´cos Yellow is done by Just the Bulbs... but if there´s Tint, is more Easy to Fight Yellow than Green... Thank you so Much, You´re so Kind.
  8. I think the Loyale (GL or Leone too) Dash will fit there too...
  9. Oh Thank You! ... Yes, you did help me too Much, I´ll Love to see the "Fadin´ Blue to Red" Scheme on your Dashboard, it Sounds Great! Also: Do you know How many L.E.D.s Shall I Need? I never has taken the Dashboard out, so That info, along with pics of it´s Back, should be a Great Help too. I´m not Sure about the "Flat Tip" L.E.D.s... but I Saw some designs of ´em that Spread the Light to the Sides, and others Spread the Light just to the Front, is that what you mean? if so, which ones Should I Use? Thanx!
  10. Well... as Far as I know, the DVG, DEVG, etc, means which Choke Kind it has; the DGEV is Electric, the DGAV is operated by a bypass of Engine´s Coolant, and... I´m not sure about the Rest, but some are Manually operated too. While the 32/36 Weber is a Two Stage Carb where the Primary opens first, and when the foot press more the gas, the Secondary opens; the 38/38 DGAS is a Synchronous two Stage Carb, When you press the gas in any position, Both Stages opens at the Same Time. The 32/36 has more Fuel Eficiency, the 38/38 makes the car feels a Li´l bit more Powerful (Specially at low RPM´s) but becomes a Huge Fuel Swallower... So, be careful what kind of Weber you Choose... Good Luck!
  11. I Agree! ... Could you post Pics, Please? Good Luck!
  12. Oh my God! ... You´re Right! ... ... I just Love that Racer Loyale! It´s a Winner!!!
  13. Well... I was thinkin on Swap the Entire Face of the XT6 to the Wagon too... but I think that will Look Funky Rare...
  14. Excuse me: How much What? ... Price?: around $ 12.ºº the Pair ( in our Currency, the "Lempíra" it s Around L. 250.ºº ) ... Wattage Consumption? I think that those L.E.D.s are around 7W or 10W I Think, and they work Cooler than Bulbs, so they´re Safe to use in Plastics. ... Time they´ll Last? they claim Those L.E.D.s will Last 10X more than a Standard bulb, or so... Well, thanx for the Replies, Any other Idea?
  15. I found mine at: http://www.webercarburetors.com/ ... and my White Wagon has a very important improvement in Power and Performance, never felt soo good untill I swaped the Craptachi carb, with the Weber 32/36. Good Luck!
  16. Yes, it is; and Weight is a Problem, but not in the way you Think: suspension. The Problem is with the Brakes Handling... Now it has Poor Brakin´ under Higher Speeds, or Emergency Brakin´ Well, I have two Loyale Wagons, the White one is with the Stock EA82 but Weberized, and the Yellow one has the ER27 Engine from a Crashed XT6. The project to Swap the ER27 on a loyale took too much work... Effort... Patience... and Inventive, you need to modify some of things... Our project started in Early 2002... dad Purchased the second Loyale wagon, first with the Idea of use it as a "Parts Car" for the White one, but then the Project to Swap the ER27 engine Begun with the Crash of a Friend´s Xt6. The Project is still in progress. Let me Explain: Some things are still Waitin´ to be Solved -or Completely Solved- as the Radiator, the Standard one doesn`t fit, so we first made some sort of a small pair of radiators interconnected each other, with an electric fan, located at one side of the engine, but it overheats easily... Then the extra weight is a problem with brakes... I have the project of upgrade brakes with some bigger ones, and to ad a turbo (For more info about it, search in: www.xt6.net ) but I don`t believe the turbo can be fitted yet, due to the engine`s overheatin` trouble... unless I solve it. If I can solve it, maybe puttin` a Radiator "Under" the engine as other member suggested, I will install a turbo on the ER27, for it I need to put in the Pistons of the EA82T, and other "minorities" (As the intake Manyfold... etc) ... But that part of the Project cost too much money, and I don`t have enough... ...for now. I begun grabbin´ some of the Things I´ll need for that, as the EA82T Pistons, and other things, it Still Remains as an unfinished Project. So, unfinished yet but it Runs!, My Dad uses it at our Home for Short Trips. Since now I´m Workin´ far away home, I bring with me the EA82 wagon, and I use it as my Daily Driver, so the yellow one as my "Weekend Warrior" You can see mages of ´em at my Photo Gallery, or my Website. I think a EJ Conversion is a Good Idea too... Lightweight and Powerfull... I Think to buy -maybe Someday- a Brat, and Swap in it an EJ Engine! ... but that, is Another Story... Good Luck!
  17. Hi Again! I Have the Idea (Maybe the Project) of Change all the Backlight Bulbs of at least one of my Wagon´s Dashboard, to H.I.D White L.E.D.s (High Intensity Discharge Light Emission Diodes) Have you seen those? They look like the White Ones on the Base-right of this Image: They´re so Bright!, not like Common Leds, so that´s Why they´re Called H.I.D. L.E.D.s. I have two in the Map lights at the Roof, but They Aren´t Extremly Bright, I think that if a Common Bulb do 5 Watts Output, those L.E.D.s may do only 7 Watts Output, but I´m not Sure... Why Change the Backlights? ... Well, both my Wagons got the Yellowish Backlight (Found on the early EA82´s), instead of the Greener backlight Found on the Newer ones, so, it looks Like it is Just the Direct Light of the Bulb, with no Tint at All... and the Dashboard is so Pretty for that illumination. :-\ This is how they Look: So, the seven Questions are: Did a Brighter Backlight illumination be Harmful? I think I can use the Dimmer lights on L.E.D.s, isn´t it? is Possible to Change all the Bulbs for those L.E.D.s? Are all of those Backlight Bulbs, the Same? What do you Think About? Have anyone Tried somethin´ like That before? Do you think the Dashboard will look Nicer with Brighter White Lights, or I will just make it look Uglier? Shall I use other color than White? Finally, I must say that those H.I.D. White L.E.D.s, Looks like a Standard Neon tube´s Light, Plain White, but Near to the Blue... Any opinions / Suggestions \ Ideas will be Wellcome! Thanx! ► Edited to add Tags, due to the New USMB's system.
