The tires I have on my "BumbleBeast" are 205/60 R15, from Nexen / Roadstone, a model line called "Classe Premiere 661" all weather, I measured them to be Close to 25" ... which is enough for my Weberized EA82 and my mixed Daily Drive on Week days / Offroading on Weekends' style. Kind Regards.

This is how the New -to me- Polished Wheels looks like ... ... Next to my Old, unpolished Wheel of the same brand, style & measurements, which I have as Spare Tire since many Years ago. ► Edit: I'll Polish the old one soon...

On my wheels, the lip measures ~ 49 millimeters, and the Center Bore measures ~ 55 millimeters... Are there Subaru's mini center caps with same measurements? If somebody got a set, I'll buy them from you ... Kind Regards.

Your awesome SafariWagon now looks Huge for that Garage Kind Regards.

So, What is the Meanin' of /backs slowly away? Interesting... I still believe that the Rubber cube is for vibration dampening purposes only. Now I Understand... Yes the Rubber shall give certain amount of wiggle to the Shifter. Today I made a couple of Phone calls to Vulcanization & tire Repair Shops, and seems like they could put New Rubber on the two metal pieces, in fact, they told me that it is a very common procedure locally, to fix those kind of Metal + Rubber Mounts. I'll see which one of those shops will do the Job of redoing the Rubber. Kind Regards.

Much more photos of that Weekend's family trip, Here: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/87725-an-open-request-to-loyale-27-turbo/page-14 Kind Regards. -
In that case: 3rd: Yes, the third gen Brat was known as "Subaru Suiren" based on the impreza. Sadly Subaru only built a bunch of Prototypes, more info & Photos, ~► Here. I upsized the Wheels on my Subaru "BumbleBeast" years ago, and never had an issue. I bet that yours might have a Mix of old brake fluid, dry flexible hoses, worn pads, worn Master Cylinder, etc... Worth Check it / Fix it before starting to swap parts without finding the Problem first. Kind Regards.

ea71 vs ea81 intake manifolds
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to ME123Insanity's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Maybe it is easier for you to obtain the Adapter plate, and Get it Welded to your two-bolts intake, without using those bolts. Kind Regards. -
Yes I bet you're Right. I'll investigate further on the Subject among local tire Repair and Vulcanization Shops. Not exactly, but since it is certainly a New kind of fail for me, I was seeking a shortcut among other USMB users with more experience in same situation, before I screw up things, you know that it is easier for me to weld a metal block instead of glueing the rubber back in place, but I wanted to know first if someone already done that, to prevent doing Damage to my Subie. Surprisingly, This: is what I was thinking to do, yesterday while I was trying to sleep in my Bed... Nope, I added 1½" Blocks to lower the Engine's Crossmember and 2" SJR Blocks to lift the front Struts, but I never "Touched" the shifters' Linkage, so maybe I stressed up this Rubber Cube, extending the Shifter's Movement, however it is 30 years old now... I'll take proper measurements in order to find out if a Bigger "Cube" might be needed there. Thank you all for such Great ideas, and for the Photo. Kind Regards.

There is a Company authorized to sell Diesel Subaru Engines in USA, for retrofittings and Adaptations: ~► http://boxeer.com/ They're also here, at USMB: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/user/30669-boxeer/ Look at this Thread: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/151035-subaru-diesel-driving-to-south-america-from-nashville-tn-usa/ Kind Regards.

Believe me, is like to change the engine + wiring Harness and ECU ... and in such case, it is better idea to do an EJ engine Swap, in my own humble opinion. Why? ... The injector ports are in the Heads on the MPFi, So the Heads are Different, management is Different, etc... Maybe only the mere Block is equal... it Doesn't worth all the effort and costs. Kind Regards.

What are the best front brake discs?
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to jackbombay's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
That is the usual symptom of a Car whose Master Cylinder has been changed with a Bigger bore one. In example, if your car came from factory with a 15/16" Master Cylinder, and someone swapped it with a 1" Master Cylinder, the Brake pedal will engage Higher, giving such a Solid Rock feeling, but the Clamping Force at the Calipers get Reduced, which is a Risk to your Safety. I Kindly suggest you to search about which Master Cylinder shall have your Front Wheel Drive Legacy, according to the VIN, and compare that with the actual one, let us Know if there is a Difference. Kind Regards. -
ea71 vs ea81 intake manifolds
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to ME123Insanity's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Nope. The EA71 one is Shorter than the EA81 one. Why a Weber doesn't fit on the one you already have? Kind Regards. -
Miraculously, the Shifter still does the Shifts indeed. So what I really want to know Now, is if the Broken "Rubber Cube" that joins two metal plates, can be substituted along those two metal plates, with a new single metal plate... Thinking that the Rubber Cube's function is to absorb vibrations from the drivetrain, only; but please correct me if I'm wrong. Also I might weld a metal spacer instead the rubber cube... Any ideas will be Welcome. Kind Regards.

Will 2nd Gen BRZ Ever Happen?

There's a Thread about Lubricants & Additives, here: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/66817-lubricants-additives-myths-reality/page-3 TransX is great for the Automatic Transmission... and might be the worst for the Differential in some Automatic Transmissions, on the Long Run. Look here for detailed info & Photos: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/148220-automatic-transaxle-lubrication-the-differential/ Kind Regards.

Lubricants & Additives / Myths & Reality
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to Loyale 2.7 Turbo's topic in Shop Talk
You meant the Lucas additive for Fuel. Lucas makes Great additives for Automatic Transmissions and other aplications as well. By the way, I wrote another Writeup related on How does the Automatic Transmissions' Additives, affects the Differentials, depending on the Lubrication System of the Transmission; you can reach that Writeup, here: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/148220-automatic-transaxle-lubrication-the-differential/ Kind Regards. -
Will 2nd Gen BRZ Ever Happen?
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to MR_Loyale's topic in BRZ and its Sister the Scion FRS/Toyota GT86
It is interesting that some of us, always have to bring our old-school Subies to the conversation, despite that the Subject is another Subie model that almost has nothing to do with the old one. It happens to me a Lot. The Story of the Subaru BRZ is almost Equal to the Story of the Subaru Baja, but something that might lead the BRZ production to cease, is not only sales records, but also the fact that Toyota is now in Partnership with another car maker, to build another Sports Coupe: BMW. ~► http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1088184_bmw-and-toyota-alliance-to-spawn-high-end-coupe-most-likely-production-lf-lc Others says that Such a Toyota-BMW super coupe is Bullsh¡t, but the same happened years ago when the Subaru-Toyota project for the -then- new AE86 project was only a Rumor, see: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/50983-strange-and-weird-subaru-stuff/page-11?do=findComment&comment=647249 Only time will tell the Truth... Kind Regards. -

Completely agree with you about "Stop Leak" junk. But there are some -very Few- additives that has proven great usefullness thru the years. The meaning of this thread is to Find the Useful ones, and dismiss the Harmful ones. So we need each others' experiences and knowledge here. Kind Regards. -
