Kia Sephia Sporty
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to Loyale 2.7 Turbo's topic in Non Soob Cars and Bikes Discussion
300,000 Kilometers So Far! The "KiaStein" already has more than 185,000 Miles on its entire Body & Automatic Transmission, which is great for a Kia Sephia built on mid 1999 being mistreated by the previous Owner, who use it for Racing purposes; I had to change the Engine's Long Block, so the engine only has the half of that mileage. Working Flawlessly so far ... Kind Regards. -
Kia Sephia Sporty
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to Loyale 2.7 Turbo's topic in Non Soob Cars and Bikes Discussion
The "KiaStein" keeps running Flawlessly... except for that issue that it needs three ~ four cranks to start the engine once it gets warmed up to normal operating temperatures; but it starts right on first try every time it is cooled down. Recently, I've only cleansed the PCV and IAC valves, also changed their Hoses so far. There is no change on that startup issue, but once started, the car performs flawlessly in every way. Kind Regards. -

Thank you so much. Likewise, my Friend. After two whole weekends without finding those wheels, the only interesting stories I could share here on the subject, are these: ► I found one Lonely wheel like the ones I'm searchin' for, but it was very mistreated and has a bent lip. ► The Junk Yard's owner told me that they sell the Aluminium wheels to local Recyclers ... ... explaining their scarcity. ► Found a Guy with a Complete set of those ... but he said that they're "Priceless" for him for sentimental reasons... I never imagined that such wheels were so Scarce ... Definitely I was lucky with the Happenstance of finding the 240SX wheel that I have in perfect shape, since many Years ago, when I was searching for a cheap single wheel to be used for the Spare tire.

4 lug redrill for my loyale
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to Derekstanelle's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
That's why a Lug pattern Re-drill on the Hubs / Drums is the Best way to go ... In my Own humble Opinion. Already has passed almost two decades of non-stop use and abuse, of my Subaru "BumbleBeast" without any issue related to the Re-drill job I did. ... ... Kind Regards. -
4 lug redrill for my loyale
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to Derekstanelle's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
It depends on many variables, such like the wheels' condition, if they're Luxury alloys or simple steelies, if they comes with tires and / or lugs, etc... -
Could you share those Photos here? So we could at least "See" it somehow. Kind Regards.

I've been following this thread silently, in "Learning Mode" as I do with many threads where I am not Sure what could be going on, I've dealt with Automatic Transmissions in the Past, even with broken differential's Spider gears, etc... but about this: This is the very first time for me to see something like that Happening. Could it be a worn bearing or gears that broke off, blocking the Pump from spinning? You might need to disassemble further, to reach the mere pump's area to know the truth... I hope that your transmission could be Fixable after that... Good Luck! ...Kind Regards.

I want to install selectable front hubs
Loyale 2.7 Turbo replied to funk's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
This thread has a Twin, started by the same person, but in another section: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/151501-selectable-front-hubs/ -
Another thing that might be interrupting the electric signal to the failing Piston's sparkplug, could be a problem on the Distributor, maybe the Cap or the rotor is worn and / or loose. Worth checking there too. Good Luck!

The MPFi EA82 engine is Rare in the USDM (united States Domestic Market), but very common in the AUDM (Australian Domestic Market), and LADM (Latin American Domestic Market) The MPFi EA82 looks like this: But yours is Different. Kind Regards.

MPFi means Multiple Port Fuel injection, in that setup, each Cylinder has its own individual fuel injector, while SPFi means that there is only one Fuel injector in the Throttle Body, which spreads from there to all the cylinders. You can read more information in our native Spanish, here: ~► http://es.slideshare.net/WilliamGonzales3/diferencia-de-tbi-y-mpfi Here you can see how to do a Compression Test:

What Have I Done to my Subie, lately? ... Nothing too interesting. Washed it Clean, Changed the Motor Oil & filter, and went in a Long Trip with my family on the past weekend, hunting for a set of (Used / Cheap) Wheels I need for it, as you can Read, and Vote in the Poll, Here: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/151383-low-budget-15-wheels-what-do-you-think-of-these/ Kind Regards.

If one Piston doesn't work, many things could be happening there, but I would start by checking Four things; one of them is the Sparkplug's wire, other is the Sparkplug itself and you already checked them both; so the Third thing is the Fuel injector itself, if your EA82 has the MPFi setup, but if your engine has SPFi, skip that and check the fourth thing: Compression. Do a Compression Test on the four Cylinders, and see if the numbers are nearby between each cylinder; if the failing one has Low numbers, then it could mean that there's something Wrong with the Valves, the Piston's Rings and / or Headgaskets. Kind Regards.
