  1. My trusty '91 loyale needs a water pump and driver's side axle. Im not an expert, but relatively handy and have the luxury of time. Any advice on the difficulty of these projects are greatly appreciated. Thanks, R
  2. I think I need to replace the radio antenna on my 91 Loyale. Has anyone done this? Is it a difficult job?
  3. A few months ago I noticed that my rear tires were wearing unevenly. I took it to the Subaru dealer for rear wheel alignment. They told me it was wayout of alignment but that they had fixed it. They did not suggest that I needed any new parts in order for the rear wheels to remain in alignment, although they told me that numerous other things were wrong on the car. Now, 4 months later, the rear tires are again wearing unevenly - although a bit differently than before? Based on the type of tire wear, I think the toe is off. If the alignment from a few months ago did not hold, what parts do you think I need to replace? How expensive of a repair could this be?
  4. 1991 Loyale 4wd A few months ago I noticed that my rear tires were wearing unevenly. I took it to the Subaru dealer for rear wheel alignment. They did not suggest that I needed any new parts in order for the rear wheels to remain in alignment, although they told me that numerous other things were wrong on the car. Now, 4 months later, the rear tires are again wearing unevenly - although a bit differently than before? Question: What potential parts need replaced in order for the rear wheel alignment to "hold?"? Question: What should I tell the subaru dealer when I take it back for repair?
  5. Does it matter which way you place the air filter? Does it matter if the side with the greater diameter is up or down?
  6. My trusty 1991 Loyale is burning through rear tires at an extraordinary rate - very uneven tire wear. I took it to the shop to have the rear wheels aligned but they told me it could not be aligned. They said the shocks were in decent shape and all looked good. 1) Can the rear-end of a Loyale be aligned; 2) if not, how do I fix this unever tire wear. She only has 130k miles on her.
