  1. Hey! Sorry about the wagon not quite working out. Or is it the one lifted in your other post? The Brat is looking My-T-Fine though!
  2. Maybe it's your Enkie wheels? Maybe the RX doesnt like them and you should give them to me.
  3. Yeah here in Moscow, ID it's +41..... brrrrrr I better put on a long sleeve before I go out! Or drink 2 brewskies. Sorry guys haha
  4. Well...looks like this might not be mine much longer if it goes....check the for sale section guys. I'm not happy (as seen through this face)
  5. In SW Washington my cousin driving http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=48894528 OK, I know it's not a SOOb, but still worth the watch!
  6. Just type "1984 Subaru" into google images
  7. haha good eye! Thats actually my love (shhh...dont let that spread too far around here). It does have the quadratrac, but I havnt driven it since summer so I already know all about the mpg. The last time I drove the chero gas was around 4 something a gallon. Now we're right at 1.50, so I should get it running and take it playing
  8. yeah mine was $150 Must be us Northern Idahoans
  9. forgot these: Sorry theyre all out of order This is the worst of the rust -
  10. Well here she is. A closer inspection and some time to look has shown she's actually in a lot better shape then I though. Some dings and a little rust, but a good interior. I think it will be a fun project! The odo reads 250,000, but it doesnt leak or burn any oil that I've seen so I', happy for that. And it fired right up after sitting the past year and a half. Needs a new ignition though, anybody have one right quick to save me a trip to the yard?
  11. Actually not a bad idea! By now maybe whoever has it will have put some money into it and we can get back a pretty RX Anyway I wanted to give this thread a bump to see theres anyone around Portland/in Oregon or Washington that has seen this car
  12. I will check the castle nuts when I get back, but something I forgot to bring up before is that when the car is not moving that whole thing was spinning. The wheel was still, but the nut was spinning. Thats when he said it might need to be just pushed back in.
  13. I dont know what happened to the pictures in the original post....but yes the Brat is beat up. Here is its good side: More pictures to come possibly by this weekend. This is just the only one I took before I left town for the holidays.
  14. I have that blue 87' twin of your wagon and I found a guy who sells lifts for them down here in my hometown of Scappoose, OR for around $400, so thats an option for me too. I'm just unsure of dumping money into that wagon right now with the carb that it has on it, has some issues with the choke.
  15. I dont think I will be able to get anything done this weekend, but with you being so close we should definitely look into getting something together. What is it youre driving?
  16. Hey I think I'm gonna head on back this weekend, cause right now I'm still in Portland. I will get more pictures then and post them on this thread. If I get it running well and looking better we might even be able to meet halfway and trade that lifted wagon you have for this thing! (just a thought)
  17. Well my neighbor had this sitting around, so I asked him what he wanted for it and gave him a $150! It had sat for a year and a half, but after a new battery and a little bit of priming it fired right up and ran like a top! I do not plan on keep this long cause it is kind of beat up, (I want an RX, anyone want to trade? Also have an 87 wagon I'd give for an RX) I kind of just want to make it work better and sell. Bring an old Soob back to life so to speak. Now for the help I will most likely need: I had to put it in 4wd to get anywhere, and he said it needs new front CV joints. I got it to my house and then went home for the holidays and have not seen it since (I'm a student at U of Idaho, but am from Portland). He said that it may be the CV joint just needs pushed back in. I do all my own work, but am a 'go by the manual' mechanic, so to speak. So any idea what he means by 'push it back in?' I like to pick up these old soobs and just work on them and learn what I can, just have never done these before. I believe it also needs a new ignition as it is so near impossible to get the key to turn. It locks up somehow. But without giving a basic tuneup these are the only two things I was able to find that is keeping this brat from being a great running vehicle. Here is a pic of my wagon (since painted the wheels flat black, which surprisingly makes it look a lot better) that I got in August for just $200! Which makes the total cost of these cars just $350; I like getting deals! And below is the Brat. PM if there is any initial interest (on either vehicle). I would like to get at least $500 for it eventually, or an RX!
  18. It's gotta be in the greater Portland area! By the way, great memory mykingcrab
