  1. Awesome! I'll get to work on that ASAP! Thanks for your help and quick responses, nipper!! Brandon
  2. That makes a lot of sense. Is it possible that as the engine warms up, the oil/ moisture will burn off/evaporate causing the sputtering to go away?
  3. NGK plugs and wires. And there actually is a little bit of oil on the plug wire boots closest to where it connects to the wires, just on the inside of the shroud on the boot, and it looks like it could easily trail down to the spark plug. hmm... sprayed the wires with a spray bottle while running in the dark, didn't see any sparking. Thanks again for your help nipper and everyone else.
  4. My bad on not posting the mileage; 170,000 The plugs and wires are definitely new, I watched the guy change them before he sold me the car. I'll try another computer and see what comes up. Thanks all of you for your help, Brandon
  5. I just bought a 2000 outback limited wagon with manual trans and so far, I haven't gotten more than 15mpg out of it. It idles rough until it gets up to operating temp, then smooths out for the most part. The plugs, wires, and air and fuel filters were replaced just before I bought it about a month ago. The check engine light has been on for a couple weeks now, but when hooked up to a diagnostic computer, it doesn't show any codes. Anyone else have a similar problem? Are there any common issues with temperature sensors? Thanks for any help Brandon
  6. I just called them. They said they shipped them on the 15th (i ordered them on the 13th), so maybe they'll be here today or monday.
  7. You already got yours after 2 days? It's been a week since I ordered mine, no email or anything! I wonder what's going on..
  8. Hey tim, I think i've seen your lifted wagon around town. It looks awesome. I'd like to do the same to mine, but I have the pushbutton 4wd with no low range, so i don't think it would turn bigger tires all that well. I found these <http://www.barretire.com/wintertires.htm> not as knobby as I had hoped to find, but look like they'll work well. Cheap too!! I'm gonna check out a few more places locally before I order a set of these.
  9. Does anyone know where to find some knobby swamper-esqe mud/snow tires that will fit on the stock GL/loyale wheels? It's getting to be time to winterize, and also, I want my Loyale to howl on dry pavement
  10. hmmm, okay. Thanks calebz. How easily would the trans/ rear axle and suspension bolt up? would it involve a lot of rebuilding the floor and body shell to get the parts to fit?
  11. How easilly would an STI engine bolt up to a Loyale 5 speed with push button single range 4wheel? Would the engine just tear up the drivetrain? Would the wiring harnesses match up to the different engine/computer? I've just recently started thinking about turning my loyale into a super fast (or even moderately fast) beat up wagon. Thanks, any info is appreciated
